Grandfather of Casey, Brandon and Matt all of Kitchener. Great-grandfather of Alex. Brother of Gertrude and Werner Reynolds of Australia. Step-father of Elizabeth Koubena of Greece and Bob Schmall of Calgary. Niece Elvie of Kitchener. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews in Germany.
Predeceased by his first wife, Erica, and his second wife, Catherine.
At Karl’s request, cremation has taken place. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Michael Kysly
passed away peacefully, with his family at his side, at the K-W Health Centre of the Grand River Hospital on October 30, 2006 in his 82nd year.
Beloved husband of 54 years to Irma (nee Mink). Loving father of Joanne and her husband John Witt and Michael and his wife Laurie Kysley. Cherished grandfather of Jaclyn and Laura Witt and Evan Kysley.
Michael was a loyal employee for over 30 years with Lear Seating where he retired in 1989. After retirement, he enjoyed golfing at the Doon Valley Golf and Country Club. He was also a member of St. Anne’s RC Church.
Michael’s family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm (parish prayers at 8:00pm) at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Prayers will be offered in the Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, November 2, 2006 at 12:30 pm followed by the procession to St. Anne’s RC Church (268 East Ave. Kitchener) for Michael’s Funeral Mass at 1:00pm. Father Mark Sullivan officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery.

Eileen Massel
Massel, Eileen; passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 20, 2006 at Forest Heights Long Term Care Center at the age of 91.
Beloved wife of the late Harvey Massel (1982). Loving mother of Sandra Reinhart and Barbara Fritz and her husband Ralph, all of Waterloo. Dear grandmother of Greg Fritz and his wife Kelly, Michael Fritz and his wife Joanne, Maureen Linton and her husband Peter, Rick Reinhart, Jennifer Villemaire and her husband Mark and Bryan Reinhart and his wife Barbara. Cherished great grandmother of Jonathan, Joseph & Cara Fritz, Blake & Kurtis Linton, Ainsley & Kaitlyn Reinhart, Jessica & Sarah Villemaire and Fiona and Julien Reinhart. Survived by her sister Marcie Olsen. Predeceased by her parents Alex and Josephine Martz her brother Edgar Martz and her close friend Dolores McCash.
Eileen retired from Canadian Blower & Forge in 1983. She received the Ontario Hospital Volunteer Association Award at St. Mary’s General Hospital for her outstanding service. Eileen was a member at St. John’s R. C. Church, Lector & Eucharistic Minister at St. John’s. She was also a member of the K-W China Guild.
Prayers will be offered in the Henry Walser Funeral Home Chapel at 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 (507 Frederick St., Kitchener) followed by procession to St. John’s R. C. Church (85 Strange St. Kitchener) for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
Interment at Woodland Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Henry Walser Funeral Home.
Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the family.
Joseph Kowall
Kowall, Joseph passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on Monday, October 16, 2006 at the age of 84.
Beloved husband of the late Jean May (nee Halford) Kowall (February 14, 2006).
Dear father of Gord Kowall his wife Beth and Dale and her husband Rick Karges all of Kitchener. Loving grandfather to Ryan, Darren, Lynsey, Lucas, Dane and Kaytlin. Great-grandfather to Mike and Brianna. Dear brother of Edward.
Joseph will be missed by his nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers, Eugene, Bill, Peter, Alex and Mero.

Gordon Moffat
MOFFAT, Gordon John (1953-2006) - It is with great sadness, but wonderful memories, that we announce the passing of Gordon after an eight month struggle with cancer. Gordon left us peacefully surrounded by his family, at home.
Beloved husband and best friend of 32 years, of Margaret (nee Duggan). Loving father of Fiona and her husband Joseph Reddick of Waterloo and Neil and his girlfriend Holly Gierscher of Kitchener. Survived by his mother Cecilia Moffat, sister Elaine and her husband David McGeough, brother William and mother-in-law Mary Duggan of Scotland. Will also be missed by his in-laws, Elizabeth Duggan, Patricia and her husband Geoffrey Hawkins of England and his nieces Jennifer Hawkins, Gillian McGeough and nephew Craig McGeough.
Gordon will be greatly missed by many friends and co-workers.
Predeceased by his father William (1979) and father-in-law James Duggan (1980).
Gordon was born in Renfrew, Scotland and emigrated to Canada with his wife in 1976. He was employed as a skilled “Millwrong” at BendAll, Boehmer Box and for many years at Butler/Oxford Automotive. Gordon loved to travel and cook, play, teach and watch soccer and was skilled at all home renovation projects and woodworking. Gordon had a black belt in judo and placed first and second in the Kata division of the Ontario Senior Judo Championships in 1999 with his partner and Sensei, Bob Zettl. He enjoyed teaching the sport he loved to children at Kaizen Judo Club.
Sincere thanks to Barby, Dianne, Ruth and Dr. Tan for their care of Gordon which allowed him to remain at home with his family and friends.
Following Gordon’s wishes, cremation has already taken place. Friends are invited to join in a memorial service to celebrate Gordon’s life at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (54 Queen St. N., Kitchener) at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2006. Rev. Mark Lewis officiating. Reception to follow.

Morris, Wendy (nee Hemmerly) passed away suddenly at her home on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at the age of 51 years.
Loving wife of John Morris. Twin sister of Tim Hemmerly and sister of Brenda and her husband, Carl Brgudac. Dear Aunt of Timothy and Tony Brgudac. Daughter-in-law of Joyce Morris and sister-in-law of Ken and Shelley Morris. Wendy will be fondly remembered by many other relatives and friends.
Predeceased by her parents, John and Marian Hemmerly and her father-in-law, Kenneth Morris.
