THWAITES, Phyllis passed away peacefully at the N.H.S. General Site on Wednesday, October 31st, 2007 in her 83rd year. Loving wife of the late Charles "Chuck" (2003). Phyllis leaves behind her loving daughter Heather Murray and her husband Bill. She was "Gram" to Jessica and Justin and will be sadly missed by them both. Survived by her sisters; Joan Turcotte (Irv) and Ruth Burgess (Ron). Survived by her sister-in-laws; Mary Shenker (the late Hyman), Shirley Tillotson (the late Bruce), Marion Korince and Margaret Verroche. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at BUTLER FUNERAL HOME (33 Duke St., St. Catharines) on Friday, November 2, 2007 from 6-9 pm. A celebration of Phyllis' life will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimers Society.

SOUCHEREAU, Anne-Marie passed away peacefully in her mother’s arms and surrounded by her family and friends on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at the age of 29. Cherished and loving daughter of Robert and Yvette (nee Laframboise) Souchereau of River Canard. Dearest sister of Matt and Tanis of River Canard and Andy and Michelle of Windsor. Dearest Auntie Anne of Alex and Emma, and Abigail Anne soon to arrive. Treasured love of Chris Whaley. Cherished granddaughter of Jeanne Laframboise of River Canard and the late Vincent, the late Eugene & Inez Souchereau. Dearly beloved niece of Judy and Lino Colautti, Mary Ellen Souchereau, Peggy Souchereau, Francine Harrison and Doug Chase and the late Tim Souchereau, Theresa Bezaire, Marilyn Laframboise and Dale Twees, Rick and Maggy Laframboise. Much loved by Mac Whaley, Sally and John Beetham, Lisa and Nigel Bertrand, Janette Whaley and Megan Whaley. Proud member of the Eleven Laframboise Cousins:Amanda Schweyer, Sarah Bezaire, Jenna Cole, Marcy Laframboise, Christina Maure, Becky Langlois, Vicki Diemer and Vince Laframboise, along with Matt and Andy. Dear cousin of Amy Colautti and Karen & Brian Pine. Loving godmother of Alex and Emma, and Lillian Maure. Godchild of Marilyn Laframboise. Will be fondly remembered by many great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins of the Souchereau, Laframboise and Whaley families. Anne-Marie was a graduate of Ecole St-Joseph, Ecole secondaire l’Essor and the University of Windsor with an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree. She was a payroll administrator for Gorski Bulk Transport. Anne-Marie was a devoted and trusted friend of many, including some that she has kept since Kindergarten. She was a much sought-after babysitter; she loved children and brought laughter and joy to every child she met. She was an avid volleyball player, cheering her team on even when she was too sick to play. Anne loved to bake and her decorated cupcakes were always in great demand. Her collection of Barbies was well-known and admired. Anne loved to travel: trips to Calgary, Mexico and a house boat adventure this past June on the Trent-Severn Waterway with Chris, Vicki and Phil were just some of the stops on her itinerary. She was hard to beat at the card table. Anne-Marie will always be remembered as a kind, gentle, caring and fun-loving woman of many talents. She kept her great sense of humour throughout her short illness, even gently scolding both her dad and Chris on her last night when they were trying to tell her what to do. She was affectionately known as “The Girl” by her dad and brothers. Visiting at the JAMES H. SUTTON FUNERAL HOME, 401 Sandwich St. S., Amherstburg, Thursday from 6-9 p.m. with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m., Friday from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. with a Cousins Tribute Friday at 8:00 p.m. followed by sharing of memories – all are welcome to come and share their favourite memories of Anne-Marie. Funeral Mass Saturday, November 3rd 2007 at 10:00 am. at St. Joseph Church (River Canard). PLEASE NOTE: NO PROCESSION FROM THE FUNERAL HOME. Visiting will continue from 9:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass. Cremation to follow. A committal service will be held Saturday, November 10th 2007 at 10:00a.m. at St. Joseph Church Crypt. (church basement). As your expression of sympathy donations to the Oncology Unit of Windsor Western Hospital 4th floor west or the St. Joseph Restoration Fund would be greatly appreciated. Mary Anne Agnes Bensette (nee Dunn), 63 years. passed away suddenly on October 29, 2007. Late of Tecumseh, formerly of Woodslee. Beloved wife of the late Norman (Dale) Bensette (1999). Loving mother of David (Norma) of Tecumseh and Barbara Bordonaro (Joe) of Stoney Pointe. Devoted grandma to Ashley, Courtney, Rachel, Marisa, and Jaime. Predeceased by her father Thomas (1983), mother Lillian (1992), brothers Ken (2000), Gary (2000) and Bob (2004). Cherished sister of Joe (Clarita) of Windsor, Elaine Bond (Al) of Windsor, Paul (Val) of Kingsville, Leo (Pauline) of Woodslee, Theresa (Jimmy) of Windsor, Ellen Nelson (Dave) of Woodslee, Sharon Haskell (Mike) of Belle River, June Sigrist (Ernest) of Woodslee and Tom (Gail) of Otterville. passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa, at the age of 45, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 31st, 2007. Brad had an engaging personality that suited him well in the various careers he pursued. Never afraid of an honest days work, he had a knack for putting others at ease with his gregarious laugh and was always curious and keen to know what others were doing. Being brought up with four brothers, he became a talented athlete who excelled in all sports. As a goaltender, he was competitive, yet easy going, and enjoyed the post game celebrations whether he won or lost. He was also a creative thinker, fair minded, a good-natured teaser and a spiritual person who recognized early on that nothing mattered more than family. He cherished his wife Marilyn, and children Emily and Darien above all else. He will be greatly missed by his mother Vicky Bassett Hoffman and stepfather Tony Hoffman, his brothers Brian, Barry, Blair and Bob. He will be fondly remembered by his sisters in-law, Sandy, Pam Jane and Jean, his nieces and nephews, Sandy, Michael, April, Amy, Kyle, Jeff, Cory, Amanda and Sage as well as his great nieces and nephews, Alexa, Cina, Raven and Evrett. He will be sadly missed by Marilyn’s family and all of their close friends. A special “Thanks” to Sutton Group Heritage, and to the Matthews family.
