Beloved husband of fifty four years of Betty (Gardiner) Covil and dearly loved father of James and his wife Marylee Covil of Cochran and Gloria Johnson of London. Loved grandfather of Andrea and James Covil and Laura and Kristin Johnson. Predeceased by 3 sisters Eva Barned, Rosetta Going and Marion Constantineau and by 2 brothers Ben and Max Covil. At his late residence in St. Thomas, peacefully on Thursday, November 4, 1999. Rev. Dr. Harry Scott Rodney, B.A., B.D., D.D. (Minister Emeritus of Knox Presbyterian Church, St. Thomas), in his 85th year. Dr. Rodney was the active minister at Knox Presbyterian Church from 1944 until 1996. Beloved husband of Mrs. Ruth (Page) Rodney and the late Mrs. Margaret (Hughston) Rodney (1986). Lovingly remembered by Rhonda, Robin and Roxan and grandchildren. Cherished brother of Mrs. Evelyn Byrd and her husband Clayton of Kemptville. Missed by nieces, nephews and cousins. A public funeral service will be conducted at Knox Presbyterian Church (Hincks & Mitchell Streets), St. Thomas on Monday at 11:00 a.m. Private interment in Elmdale Memorial Park, St. Thomas.
