SHORTEN, Marion Lois, At Belleville General Hospital on Thursday December 11, 2008 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of Rev. Lloyd Shorten for over 55 years. Daughter of the late Violet (Utman) and Joseph Daniels. She is survived by her much loved daughters Mary Ruth Begbie (Michael) and Carolyn Lough (and her close friend Ronald Globe), her adoring grandchildren Amanda & Sarah Begbie, Thomas & Warren Lough. A graduate of Belleville Collegiate, Alma College and United Church Training School. She was a Deaconess of the United Church of Canada. In partnership with her husband she worked at churches in Peterborough, Ottawa, Toronto and Belleville. A devoted much loved and respected servant of Jesus Christ, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Friends are invited to visit at Eastminster United Church Belleville (corner of Bridge & Herchimer) from 10-11:00 a.m. on Monday December 15, 2008. Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in the spring at Foxboro Cemetery. Memorial donations to Eastminster Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.

TRIMM, Dorothy Mary, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Monday, December 8th, 2008 at the Kingston General Hospital. Formerly of Verdun was then transferred to Belleville in 1947 where she later joined Northern Telecom "Nortel" for over 38 years. Beloved wife & friend to AJ (Tony) Trimm. Loving Mother of Robert Trimm (Sherry-Lynn). Predeceased by her brother Bob (Mary). Survived by sisters Alice Masson, Pat Baverstock of Belleville & Reginald (Grace) of Montreal. Loving and devoted Nanny to Danielle & Ashley. Predeceased by her parents Robert & Nora Baverstock. Sadly missed by long time friends Verna Hosker, Andrea Colbourne, Carol Hamilton & Audrey King. Predeceased late husband Raymond Nolan. Dorothy will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews & friends. Great grandfather of Owen and Lucas Robson. Special friend of Steve Parks. A private burial was held on Monday, June 22 at the Union Cemetery in Apsley.
