Marian Deeton
January 9th, 1941 to November 9th, 2007

It is with great sadness that the family of MARIAN ANN DEETON nee QUACKENBUSH of Edmonton, formerly of Sarnia, announces her passing on Friday November 9th, 2007 at the age of 66. She will be sadly missed by her husband and partner Donald Deeton. Gone but not forgotten by her loving children, Lori and her husband John McEwen of Wyoming, Tracey and her husband John Nowak of Edmonton Alberta, and Debbie (1992). Grandmother to Marian Deeton Jr., Joshua Sean Deeton, William Deeton, Deborah Nowak, Brennen McEwen and the late Gracie (1999). Survived by brother William and sisters Selina, Doreen, Kathy, Debbie and Fran. Predeceased by Donna. Survived by many nieces and nephews. A celebration of Marian's life will be held in the chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. with Deanna Gibson officiating. Interment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Friends and relatives will be received at the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Monday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9. Memorial donations in memory of this good lady may be sent to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and would be appreciated by the family.

Blanche Schuyler
February 28, 1913 to June 12, 2007

BLANCHE EDNA (EDWARDS) SCHUYLER - Peacefully on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, surrounded by her family at Sarnia, in her 95th year. Beloved wife of the late Allan Mills Schuyler (1979). Devoted mother to Sharon Sesterak (Steve) and Glen Schuyler (Daphne). Cherished grandmother to grandsons, John and Chris Sesterak (Sarah) and Jamie (Devon Turcotte), Joe (Amberley) and Michael Schuyler (late Ashley Smith). Proud great grandmother to Makenna, Elizabeth and Samuel Schuyler and Jasper Sesterak. Predeceased by her sister Pat McCarthy. Survived by her sister Loretta Barbe, Welland, and brothers Jack Edwards, Amherstburg and Don Edwards, Oklahoma. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Blanche owned and operated Schuyler Gifts & Cards for 28 years with her husband Allan. Blanche will be remembered by her special long-time friends Dorothy Smith , Leona Sayers and Bud Curtis. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Thursday, June 14th at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend Gary Shuttleworth of Dunlop United Church officiating. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Palliative Care at Bluewater Health would be appreciated by the family (cheques only please). Thanks to the caring nurses at Palliative Care at Bluewater Health.

Melina Yukish
January 29th, 1921 to February 6th, 2008

On Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at Marshall Gowland Manor, MELINA SARAH ETHEL PEARL YUKISH, age 87, went to be with her Lord. Melina was the deeply loved mother of Melina Wettergreen-Law, of Courtright, ON and William (Donna) Yukish, of Carson City, NV. “Bubba” to her grandchildren, she will be sadly missed by granddaughters Ann (James) Lee, Amy Yukish, and Sara Yukish of NV, grandson Tepa (Carole) Wettergreen, of Sarnia and step-grandson A.J. (Hillary) Ternau, of NV. Bubba is also survived by four great granddaughters, Ashelyn Lee, Autumn Cuellar, Corinne Ternau and Adelia Wettergreen. Also survived by special niece Marietta (Joey) Zammit, of Mooretown, ON. Melina was predeceased by granddaughters Sera Wettergreen, son-in-law Lloyd Law, parents Melina and John Little and sisters Mabel Hoskin and Marietta Brown. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Melina’s life will take place at a later date when all of her family can be present. The family requests that, any memorial donations be made to the Women’s Interval Home, of Sarnia. Arrangements entrusted to the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME.
Melina’s family would like to express their sincere thank you to the staff of Marshall Gowland Manor and special caregiver, Kim Marshall for their compassionate care and kindness to “Charlie”.

Gordon Clark
November 15th, 1936 to February 5th, 2008

At Bluewater Health - Mitton St. Site on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, GORDON WESLEY CLARK, age 71, of Sarnia, loving husband of 49 years to the late Virginia Ann (Snell) Clark who passed away a short time ago on December 31, 2007. Dear father of Janet Edwards and her husband Richard and Wesley Clark and his wife Beth all of Sarnia, grandfather of Amanda, Melinda, Corey, Joshua, Jacob and Hannah and great grandfather of Dylan, brother of Jeannie Fraser of BC., brother in law of Ruth Clark of Tillsonburg, Jack Snell and his wife Shirley of Petrolia, Helen Gale and her husband Jim, Marie Foubister and her husband Jim and Pat Cornish all of Sarnia and Mike Snell and his wife Joan of Nova Scotia. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by his parents William and Leola Clark, brothers Hank, Charles and Orville, sister Helen Caron, sister-in-law Margaret Irving and brother in law Ken Snell. Gord was born in Sarnia and retired from Dunlop Transport Company after many years of service. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Friday, February 8th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation or the Sarnia Humane Society. (cheques only please).

Marquarette Nicholson
February 15, 1928 to May 1, 2009

At Bluewater Health - Mitton Site on Friday, May 1, 2009, MARQUARETTE BARTON (HOLLINGWORTH) NICHOLSON, age 81, of Sarnia, dear wife of the late Robert Arthur Nicholson (1987). Loving mother of Jan MacLean and her husband Bill and Carol D’Orazio and her husband Warren. Grandmother of Ian MacLean and his fiancé Amber Kelly, Sam and Austin. She was a life member of St. George’s Anglican Church and a member of St. Elizabeth’s Circle. Funeral services were held from the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Monday, May 4th with Archdeacon Jim Dugan officiating. Interment was held in Lakeview Cemetery and the pallbearers were Bill MacLean, Warren D’Orazio, Ian MacLean, Brian Rigby, Sy Potma and John Hollingworth.
Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Charity of Choice.

John Lindsay
March 30, 1947 to May 5, 2009

LINDSAY, JOHN RALEIGH, Born March 30, 1947, passed away on May 5, 2009 at Bluewater Health Mitton Site after a short battle with cancer. Beloved husband of the late Carolyn (Campbell) Lindsay. Dear son of Theresa and the late Edward W. (Bub) Lindsay Sr. Brother of the late Edward W. (Dedo) Lindsay Jr., Richard (Debbie), Tony (Robbin) of Port Huron and Brian Lindsay of Detroit. Sisters Yvonne (Julius) Williams, Cheryl (Charles) Lloyd all of Port Huron and Doris Elmore of Detroit. Loving father of Tyson and Lance Lindsay of Sarnia and Dwan Lindsay, Danielle Johnston and Mashawn Easton all of Port Huron. Loving grandfather of Nick, Justin and Cayliegh Lindsay. He will be especially missed by all his family and friends and also missed by Sue, Matt, Korey and Jessica. Johnny Boy was an accomplished boxer with may achievements in the sport, especially winning the Golden Gloves. Cremation has taken place. The family would like to invite friends to celebrate the life of John at the Lindsay Residence, 317 S. Vidal Street, on Friday, May 8th between the hours of 4:00 - 8:00 pm. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation (cheques only please).

George Balint
1959-10-12 to 2008-03-19

Suddenly March 19th, 2008, at Bluewater Health in Sarnia, GEORGE ANTHONY BALINT age 48, left those who loved him to go with the Lord. Survived by best friend and dear wife Darlene of Sarnia and special loving parents Anthony and Betty Balint, brother David (Trudy) and nephews Daniel and Lee Balint of West Lorne. Survived also by step children Tammy VanTroost (Pete), Jody Wright (Rich), Bill O’Brien (Amy) and 7 grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Richard Brooks (Charlene), Diane Pilon (Dwayne), William Hamil (Esther) and Doug Brooks (Gail). George was born in St. Thomas and grew up in West Lorne. He attended Fanshaw College and began his working career in Sarnia. George was employed by Baysar Office Equipment as Service Technician Manager. He took great pride in his work and was always eager to please his customers. The day George Anthony Balint was born the mould was broke. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 29th at St. Mary’s Parish Hall, 132 Main Street, West Lorne, from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME.

May 4, 1922 to January 22, 2008

At Bluewater Health - Mitton Site on Tuesday, January 22, 2008, ARLENE CATHERINE (NERBAS) PAISLEY, age 85, of Sarnia, beloved wife of the late Roy James Paisley. Dear great aunt of Daphne Whitson and her husband Gary of Sarnia. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two sisters Agnes Zorn and Rose Edel. Born in Saskatchewan, Mrs. Paisley had resided in Sarnia over 50 years and was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church. There will be no funeral home visitation. Funeral service will be held at St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church (Cathcart & Colborne) on Friday, January 25th at 11:00 am with Rev. Rachael Parker officiating. Interment in Beechwood Cemetery, Forest. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Charity of Choice (Cheques only please). Arrangements entrusted to the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME.
