Alexander Andrew GREENLEES

Alex Greenlees died in Barrie, Ont. on April 24, 2013.
Alex was born in London, Ont. on September 10, 1920 to F. Henry Greenlees and Elfleda L. Clarke, twin brother of Tom. He graduated from the Royal Military College in 1940 and from Queen’s University in 1948.
He served in the Canadian Army 1940 to 1945 – in Canada and the U.K., and in Holland and Germany with the Essex Scottish Regiment.
Alex married D. Jean Brown on October 27, 1951. He was a professional chemical engineer and worked for Polysar in Sarnia from 1948 to 1983. He moved to Barrie in March 2008.
He will be greatly missed by his daughter Betsy Greenlees and her husband Ray Dorosz of Lethbridge, Alta., and his son Rob Greenlees and his wife Mary Greenlees of Barrie, and his four grandchildren, Megan and Sam Dorosz and Kristen and Cameron Greenlees, and several nieces and nephews.
Alex was predeceased by his wife Jean Brown in 1986; by his twin brother, Thomas C. Greenlees, of London in 2009; and his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at McCormack Funeral Home in Sarnia. If desired, donations in memory of Alex to the Royal Victoria Hospital Foundation, Barrie or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Diane Claire Murray, R.N. - Friday, April 19, 2013 Diane passed away suddenly at her residence, Heritage Place (IOOF Seniors Home) Barrie, Ontario in her 80th year. Daughter of the late J. Perry and Marjorie Murray, she will be missed by her many friends in Barrie and Toronto. Diane was a graduate of Toronto’s Branksome Hall & Toronto East General Hospital Nursing College and a thriving entrepreneur. She ran a successful bed and breakfast in Barrie for over ten years. She left behind her beloved dog, Ivory and cat, Sam. A worldwide traveler, her high energy, outgoing disposition and sheer enthusiasm for life will be fondly remembered by those she touched. Cremation has taken place at Peaceful Transition in Barrie, and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. A special thanks to the staff at Heritage Place for their care and support. At London Health Science Centre Victoria Hospital on Wednesday, September 26, 2007, KAREN JOYCE BUCKINGHAM, age 53, of London, formerly of Sarnia, beloved daughter of Robert William Buckingham and the late Lily Maude (Wilkinson) Buckingham. Dear step-daughter of Betty (Morrison) Buckingham and dear sister of Deborah Ann Dewan and her husband Terence of London, Kenneth Robert Buckingham and his significant other Karen Douglas-Helps and Linda Joan Buckingham all of Sarnia and Barbara Jean Short and her husband Craig of Mooretown. Niece of Tom Buckingham of Sarnia. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and a grand nephew. Born at Westmount, Montreal, Karen had resided in London for the past five years and formerly in St. Thomas and Sarnia. She was employed as a Registered nurse with Clinidata (Sykes-Canada) and was a member of the Ontario Nurses Association. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Saturday, September 29th. at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. William Graham officiating. Bernhard Puetz
Bernhard Puetz passed away peacefully Monday, April 8th in his ninetieth year at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. Cherished husband of Hannelore Puetz for seventy years. Bernhard will be lovingly remembered by his children Hubert (Vicki) and Marion (Larry), as well as his grandchildren Ron (Giovanna), Rik (Hayley), Christa (Ray), Eric (Schaana), Isabel and Alaya and also Lia (Mother of Christa and Eric). Proud great grandfather of eight and great great grandfather of one. Bernhard will also be missed by his extended family, friends and neighbours. "Our family's collective hearts are heavy with Bernie's passing but we are comforted somewhat by the knowledge that he is somewhere now hunting on a deer stand in a beautiful tree-filled forest." There will be a private family service held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters would be appreciated.

Loving grandma of Lynn, Lucy, Sandra, Michelle, Joanne, Kim, Jamie, Kyle and Shelly. Dear sister of Ollie, Hazel, Louise “Peg”and Helen all of Sarnia. Also survived by 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
