Marie Dolores Kinnear

It is with great sadness and much love, Marie’s family announce her passing on Sat. Dec.29th, 2012.She died peacefully with loving family at her side.
Marie was predeceased by her father Elmer Stillar, her mother Rita And brother Robert. She was the much loved daughter-in law of the late Clark, Ruth and Mary Kinnear.
Survived by her loving husband Thomas, sons Joseph (Sally Ann Mighty), Andrew (Madalina ) and David (Brandy) who gave her one delightful granddaughter (Ella Elizabeth).
She is survived by 6 sisters and 6 brothers: Angela, Carol, Rita (Henry Gouett) Paul (Susan), Monica (Chad Hess ) Alan, Donald, Joan (Richard Hamilton), Brian, Barry and Glenn. and 28 nieces and nephews.
Marie was an accomplished Junior Kindergarten teacher who delighted in preparing children into their 1st year of school.
Her beautiful smile, love of gardening and above all her love of her husband Tom and their children made her admired by all.
Funeral arrangements are with Peaceful Transition.
Her service will be from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 65 Amelia Street, Barrie, Ont. On Wed., Jan. 2nd, at 1:30 PM with visitation at the church @ 1PM.
May she rest peacefully in heaven knowing that she was so loved.
Drake, Ruby Isabelle (nee White)
Ruby passed away peacefully on Tuesday December 4, 2012 at Grove Park Home, Barrie. She was in her 99th year. Ruby was the widow of Roy Oliver Drake (1992). She leaves behind four daughters Patricia (Bill Farrington) of Midhurst, Laura (Eric Minns) of Pickering, Dorothy of Pickering and Donna (Noel Bramston) of Sidney, B.C.
Ruby was the proud grandmother of seven and one angel in heaven, great grandmother of sixteen and great great grandmother of three. She will be sadly missed by sister Shirley (Glenn Eastabrook), two sister in laws Ada Drake and Jean Drake, two brother in laws Howard Parsons and George Parkin as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service for Ruby will be held at a later date. Memorial donations to Grove Park Home 234 Cook Street, Barrie, On.
Duncan, Catherine Anne
With great sadness and joy in our heats for having had her in our lives that we regretfully announce the passing of Catherine Anne Duncan (nee Ghibb) who passed away peaceful with family and friends at her side at 6:45pm on Wednesday November 28th, 2012 at Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH).
Cathy was in the sixty third year of her life and passed after losing her brave battle to Cancer. A heartfelt thank you from the family is extended to all the staff at the RVH and Surgical Care Team who made Cathy's last days much more peaceful.
She was the beloved mother of Carol Gwendolyn Duncan and grandmother of Madison Sierra Proulx and will sadly miss her.
At Cathy's request, cremation will take place and she will be reunited with her best friends Ebony and Keeker, Dalton, Destiny and Squiggly.
A Celebration of Cathy’s life will be held on Thursday, December 6th, 2012 at The Side Door and Michael and Marion's between 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm for those wishing to attend followed by a private dinner for family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cathy’s memory to the RVH, Palliative Care or the Canadian Cancer Society. Peaceful Transition Inc. (Barrie) are entrusted with her care.
Livingston, Harry Buie
LIVINGSTON, Harry Buie of Angus passed away peacefully at Leisure World Creemore on Thursday, November 29th, 2012 in his 96th year. Son of the late Gertrude and Earl Livingston. Beloved husband of the late Molly Livingston. Dear father of Ruth and Lou Doucet. Harry was a proud and devoted Gramps to Michael (Kate), Debora (Ike), Sharon (Lee) and Jason. Poppa Harry will be missed by 10 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Harry is pre-deceased by sister, Mary and brother, W.C. (Dick).
Harry will always be remembered for his kind, gentle manner and his passion for sports. Harry was especially proud to be a part of the Barrie Colts Junior’s Champions 1935. Harry was an avid golfer and horse trainer.
Cremation to take place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to Peaceful Transition, Barrie.
Younger, John
Younger, John passed away peacefully with his friends by his side November 28, 2012 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by many extended family and close friends. John worked many years to provide assistance for people, working with services such as Browndale, Catulta-Tamarack and Men’s Work Counselling. At John’s request cremation has taken place and he will be reunited with his best friend Lucky. A Celebration of John’s life will be held Tuesday December 4 at Sheba Shrine Club, 142 John Street Barrie at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s memory to the SPCA, Hospice Simcoe or charity of choice. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Peaceful Transition Inc.
Cindy Louise Henderson
Cindy Louise Henderson passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie November 23, 2012. Cindy, beloved daughter of the late Jack and Marjorie Henderson will be sadly missed by her brothers, Wade (Patricia), Trevor, her sisters, Shane, Tammy (Rick Fawcett), her nieces and nephews, Dana, Shannon, Kerri, Ryan, Brandi, Jasmine, Jade, her great nephews, Aiden, Hunter, her aunts, uncles and cousins. At Cindy’s request, cremation has taken place. The family will have a private ceremony, Sunday, December 2, 2012 in Barrie, followed by a Celebration of Life for her friends and family in Toronto, @ The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 31, 1050 Weston Rd, Weston, ON, M6N 3S2, Sat., December 8th, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

BARBER, Stephen Wayne - Peacefully, at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, on Friday, November 23, 2012 in his 58th year. Beloved father of Jason Williams of Oshawa. Steve will be sadly missed by his sisters Yvonne Sjerps (Jack), Debbie Durkee (Darren), Sandra Dawson (Mike) and Sue Barber (Ron). Uncle to Angela, Brandon, Jordan and Patrick. Predeceased by his parents Norval (Bud) and Susan Barber and his sister Lori. The family is truly grateful to Dr. Ryan Zufelt for his care and compassion over the past few months. VAN de BYL – Peacefully at People Care, Tavistock on Friday, January 16, 2009, Dirk Van de Byl of Woodstock in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Christine Van de Byl (nee Madle). He will be remembered by his sons Albert, Dick, Art, Clarence and John, and their spouses, daughters-in-law Shirley and Jane, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, his brother Maurice Van de Byl of Paris, and his sisters in Holland.
