Zaba, Allan Frank

passed away at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Wednesday November 14, 2012 with family by his side. Al is survived by his wife Donna “Deannie”, and children Les, John, Heather, Murray, Stephen, Marian, Edward and Allan Jr. Predeceased by his son Robert and first wife Marion Belle. Al will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Celebration of Al’s life will take place on Thursday November 22 from 1:00 – 7:00pm at the Army Navy Club, 7 George Street, Barrie. Church service for Al will be held on Wednesday November 28, 2:00pm at St. George Anglican Church, 9 Granville Street Barrie. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Peaceful Transition Inc.

Coates, Chuck Sr.

passed away suddenly November 11, 2012 at home of natural causes. Loving husband to Wilma. Proud father of Brandy (Sean), Chuck Jr. (Melissa), Jeff. Grandpa of Sean Jr., Ryan. Will also be remembered by mother Linda Lansing, brothers James (Lisa), John (Debbie), Rob, sisters Kim (Rob), Lynette, Evette, nieces and nephews, Amber, Britney, James Jr., Melissa, Michael, Jennifer, Shannon, Peter, Stephen, Brenda, Doug, Kevin, Lisa , aunt Cindy (Bryan), sisters in law Bernice (Henry), Barbara, brother in law Mike and by many more extended family members, friends and colleagues. Predeceased by father Jim, stepfather Norm, grandparents Fay & Bud Coates, father and mother in law Charles & Teresa Ott, sister in law Elizabeth Sparkman. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Chuck’s life will take place November 25th at 1:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 516 New Lowell 5357 County Road 9. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Chuck Coates Sr. to the Jumpstart Program, then click to donate and search “In Loving Memory Chuck Coates Sr.” Donations may also be made at the Celebration of Life. Dorothy Patterson
October 7, 1922 to October 1, 2007

At Bluewater Health - Mitton Site on Monday, October 1, 2007, DOROTHY (BRYCE) PATTERSON, age 84, of Sarnia, loving wife of the late William Patterson (1999). Dear mother of Hilary Blair and her husband Graham of Sarnia, grandmother of David Blair and his wife Simone of Toronto and Stephen Blair and his wife Bonnie of Sarnia and great grandmother of Alec and Connor and Emily and Kiersten. Also survived by brothers and sisters in Scotland. Born in Bathgate, Scotland, Dorothy had been a Sarnia resident for the last 26 years. Private family committal Entombment of ashes will be held at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association (Cheques only please.) Arrangements entrusted to the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME.

Cecil Grosvenor Charles Stamp

passed away peacefully on November 5th, 2012, at Collingwood General & Marine Hospital, after a brief illness, in his 95th year. Cecil, beloved husband of Blanche (nee Cornfield) and the late Isabel (nee Hindle). Loving father of David and his wife Joanne of Sudbury, Mary Ellen and her husband (Rick Hall), Garry and his wife Colleen all of Creemore. Step-father of Beth Hunter of Desboro and Janette Shier of Kitchener-Waterloo. Dear grandfather of nine and step-grandfather of four. Great-grandfather of many. Predeceased by three sisters. Cecil served in the Canadian armed Forces during WW11 for a total of 29 years achieving the rank of Lieutenant. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion for over 40 years and a member of Lions Club for a number of years including being on the executive of both. He was a devoted husband , loving father, grandfather, brother and a great cook and gardener.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 7th, 2012, from 7-9 PM at Chatterson Funeral Home Collingwood, followed by a funeral service in the chapel on Thursday at 1 PM.
Interment at Creemore Union Cemetery.
Donations made to Community Living, Salvation Army or the Poppy Fund would be appreciated

Joan passed away peacefully on November 02, 2012 in her 79th year at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie. Joanie Marie will be lovingly remembered and missed by her son Randy (Debbie) and daughter Susan (Dan), grandchildren Cassandra, Jennifer, Robert, Nicole, Paul, Mark, and Katherine, as well as great grandchildren Jordan, Paige, and Carter.

1937-12-28 to 2007-06-28

Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Mitton Site on Thursday June 28th, 2007, JEANNINE (BEDARD) TAILLON age 69 of Sarnia. She will be sadly missed by her husband Albert. Also missed by her loving children Lisette and her husband Kevin, Gilbette and her husband Jack, Gaston, Gaetan and his wife Sandy and Albert Jr and his wife Judy. Loving Grandmother of 19 grandchildren and great grandmother to Thomas. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held at ST JOSEPH'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (Devine and Stuart Steets) on Saturday June 30th at 10:00 am with Rev. Matthew Bedard officiating. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME.

Frederick Morreau
April 24, 1933 to September 27, 2007

At Bluewater Health - Norman Site on Thursday, September 27, 2007, FREDERICK (FRED) MORREAU, age 74, of Sarnia, beloved husband of the late Barbara (Cook) Morreau (1994). Lovingly missed by his children Cliff (Maureen), Marsha Morreau and Darlene Morreau all of Sarnia. Caring grandfather to Jaime (Aaron) and Jayson (Nikki) and great grandfather to Connor and Payton. Brother to William (Claudette), Joseph (Donna), Herbert, Margaret McKnight, Lila (Bill) Erwin and Veronica (Dick) Thomson. Predeceased by his parents Marshall and Irene Morreau, brothers Bernard, Peter and Robert, sisters Jean Brooks, Mary Du Berry, Virginia Grass and Teresa Beauvais and grandson Kyle James Morreau. Fred retired from C.N.R. with over 40 years of service. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, October 3rd. at 11:00 a.m. Interment of ashes to follow in Lakeview Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (cheques only please.)

Hook, John

passed away after a valiant battle with Parkinson’s October 26, 2012 at Roberta Place Long Term Care, Barrie. Will be lovingly remembered by wife Mary, daughter Roxane Radonic (Ed), son Brian (Rosdily), grandchildren Thomas and Alexander, sisters Barbara Finlayson (Al) and Florence Hook. Cremation has taken place and private family service to be held in Celebration of John’s Life. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Society of Canada would be appreciated.

Robitaille, Marilyn

passed away October 24, 2012 at Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital. Will be lovingly missed by her husband Marty, her children Melissa Reitmeyer (Victor), Rob Hendrickson, Tracey White, grandchildren Jessica Dutton (Kevin), Justin, Morgan, great granddaughter Lexie, sister Dianne Evershed (Morris), her extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Marilyn’s Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers if desired, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
