Born in Cornwall On, passed away peacefully in Barrie’s Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on October 25, 2012 at 80 years of age. Beloved husband to Mary Helen (nee McIntyre) for 54 wonderful years. Loving father of Lorena Joan and Donna Lynn. Grandfather to Renee and Julien Laferriere. Survived by sister Joan and pre-deceased by his brother Roy. Ron was a former employee of the Canadian Pacific Railway for 37 years and a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 57. Fredriksen, Hans James - Hans went peacefully, on October 16, 2012, after a brave fight with lung cancer. Hans passed away at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie, Ontario in his 63rd year. Dear father to Hayley (Gerard), Paul, Lara and of Lindsay. Proud grandfather to Paige, Connor, Kaitlyn and Trinity. Cremation has been through Peaceful Transition. At Bluewater Health-Norman site on Friday October 5, 2007, MILDRED R. (Gravelle) McDONALD age 83 of Sarnia. Beloved wife of Al McDonald and dear mother of Jim and Doug McDonald of London. Grandmother to Jimmy McDonald and his companion Alana Moreland of Victoria B.C.. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Grace Gravelle, brothers Alfred and Russell Gravelle and sisters Aileen Rowe and Daphne Park. Mildred retired from Polysar after 22 yrs service and was a member of the S.G.&C.C. and the I.O.D.E. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held from the chapel of the D. J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME on Thursday October 11th at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 am until time of service. At Trillium Villa Nursing Home on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, ELLEN M. JAMIESON, age 85, of Sarnia. She will be missed by “her Girls” Linda Crooks, Sylvia Gardner and Mary Yorke and her many friends in the Teaching profession. A Sarnia resident since 1949, Ellen was a longtime member of St. Paul’s United Church and former member of the choir and the Rainbow Singers. She enjoyed her music and loved to travel. Ellen was born in Sombra Township and retired from teaching with the Lambton County School Board in 1976 after 36 years of service. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of the D.J. ROBB FUNERAL HOME, 102 N. Victoria St., Sarnia, on Saturday, November 10th at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. CANFIELD – Peacefully at Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday, January 25, 2009, Janet R. Canfield (nee Thompson) of Woodstock at the age of 93. Predeceased by her husband H. J. “Jack” Canfield (1986) and her son John Canfield, age 13, (1959). Survived by her loving daughter Margaret Paquette (Patrick) of Baltimore, MD, grandchildren John Paquette of Baltimore, MD, and Hilary Leoni (Oliver) of Verona, NJ, and her triplet great grandchildren Abigail, Owen, and Isabela. She will also be missed by her nephew David Stevenson and family of Ottawa, and her dear friend Pam Gray of Innerkip. A private family service will be held. Virgene lived in the Point Edward Home she was born in, on April 24, 1907, until the fall of 1997 for residency at Sumac Lodge. She was predeceased by her husband Leo (1975) and parents. Survived by her Sumac Lodge family, nieces, nephews and cousins. Special friend to Joan Nicholson and Caring and Sharing Group of St. Michael's Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from ST. MICHAEL'S ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH on Wednesday, November 7th at 10:30 am with Father Joe Snyder, the Celebrant.
