LAFOREST, Claudette (of RR# 2 Lyndhurst)

Suddenly at Kingston General Hospital on Tuesday, November 19, 2013. Claudette Boivin of RR# 2 Lyndhurst in her 72nd year. Widow of Raymond Laforest Dear Mother of Linda Faforest of Whitehorse, Yukon, Claudine Laforest (Sylvain Cote) of Chicoutimi, PQ., Monique Laforest (Andre Ferland) of Farnham PQ., Johanne Laforest (Martin Vachon) of St. Jean-sur-Richelieu, Mario Laforest of Kiamika PQ., and Sylvain Laforest (Karmina Lake) of Victoria B.C. Predeceased by daughter, Myriam Laforest. Also survived by son-in-law, Pierre Boutin of Saint Eustach, PQ. Fondly remembered by 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the SCOTLAND FUNERAL HOME, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Saturday from 2-4. . As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

STEVENSON, Ora of Brockville

Entered into rest peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Monday November 4th, 2013, Ora Reba Stevenson. Loving mother of Larry Stevenson of Brockville. Predeceased by her daughter Debbie Stevenson and son Ronald Stevenson.
At the request of Mrs. Stevenson there will be no visitation. A Funeral will be held in the Chapel of the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Friday November 8th, 2013 at 10:00 am. In memoriams to the Brockville and District Humane Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Interment at Rupert Union Cemetery, Rupert, Quebec.

LEBEL-ANGERBAUER, Christine of North Vancouver, BC Formerly of Sudbury, ON

In loving memory of Christine Lebel-Angerbauer, who passed away at her home on June 30, 2015, in North Vancouver, BC, at the age of 45. She will be sadly missed by her sister, Jessica Angerbauer, and her four children: Joseph Read, Sharayah Read, Dorian Angerbauer, and Jakob Lebel. She was a best friend to many people, all of whom she loved deeply. Christine enjoyed painting and drawing, as well as dancing to whatever song came on the radio. She was a dedicated Whovian, and loved sitting by the ocean. She was adventurous in nature, and brought passion to everything she did. She never took no for an answer, and was an inspiration to everyone she knew. Her passion and beauty have now joined Heavens ranks, where she will be able to see her mother and beloved grandparents again. If you wish to honor her memory, please make donations to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

FOWLER, Donald W., of St. Thomas, Ontario

FOWLER, Donald W., of St. Thomas, passed away at the Valleyview Home on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, in his 96th year. Husband of the late Bernice (nee Houghton) Fowler, RN (2001). Father of Roy Fowler, and Anne Neill and her husband Rob, all of St. Thomas. Grandfather of Christopher Neill and his wife Christina, and their children, Sloane and Bowen of Pemberton, BC, and Todd Neill and his wife Andrea, and their children, Peyton, Gannon, and Marin of Guelph. Uncle of Jim Thomson and his wife Pat of Mapleton. Also survived by several other nieces and nephews on the Houghton side. A sister, Aleta Thomson died in 2009. Born in St. Thomas, ON, February 20, 1920, he was the son of the late Daniel and Grace (nee Luton) Fowler. Don was a retired employee of Hayes-Dana. He was a member of Centre Street Baptist Church, the Hayes-Dana Retirees Club, and a former member of the 55+ Club, Port Stanley. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and private interment will be made in the St. Thomas Cemetery, West Ave. Relatives and friends will be received by the family on Sunday afternoon, May 10th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160) where a memorial service to celebrate Don’s life will be held on Monday, May 11th at 11:00 a.m. If so desired, memorial donations to Centre Street Baptist Church, Eyes Right, or the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged. Gratitude is expressed to the nurses and staff of the Valleyview Home (Chesapeake Way) and Extendicare, Port Stanley for their exceptional, compassionate care.

GATES, Allan William of Brockville, Ontario

GATES, Allan William entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital Charles St. Site, on Saturday May 2nd, 2015, Allan Gates of Brockville aged 64 years. Beloved husband of Ardiene (Swinimer) Gates. Loving father of Scott (Nancy) Gates of Brockville and Jenni (Corey Senecal) Gates of Lansdowne. Cherished grandfather of Sean, Jean Luc, Alissa and Piper. Dear son of Gladys (Marchand) and the late Bill Gates. Dear brother of Gary (Sylvie), Randy (Francois Morin) and Evelyn (Jack Beckstead). Also missed by in-laws Ken (Sheila) Swinimer, Garry (Helen) Swinimer, Pattie (Richard) Conners, Paula (Reggie) McKay, Terry (the late Deb) Brooks, Joanne (Steve) Forbes and Betty (the late Vincent) MacDonald, many nieces and nephews and friends at Grenville Park Site, Swiss Golf and Tennis in Winterhaven Florida and from the Friday night gang.
At Allan’s request there will be a Private Family gathering held at a later date. In memory of Allan donations to the Children’s Wish Foundation would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. E., Brockville entrusted with arrangements.

WATSON, Kenneth of Chesley

Kenneth Stanger Watson of Chesley, passed away peacefully at home with his wife at his side on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in his 92nd year.
Beloved husband of Trudy (Westenberger). Cherished father of Keith Andrew of Thunder Bay. Ken will live on in the memory of his sisters Florence Robertson of Kelowna, B.C. and Heather (Sterling) Shephard of Plymouth, Michigan. He will also be missed by his sister-in-law Irma McSporran of Chesley.
Ken requested that his body be donated to science and his family is respecting that wish.
Memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

JANTZI, Laverne of Milverton, formerly of New Hamburg

JANTZI, Laverne – finished the course and was received into his eternal home on Friday May 1, 2015 at Knollcrest Lodge, Milverton in his 85th year following a courageous struggle with ALS. Lovingly remembered by his children, Glen and Ellie of St Clements, Myron and Mary of Brunner, Larry and Dorothy of Calgary, Ruth Anne and Jonathan of Stratford, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Ruth (Jantzi) in 1995, brother Ivan and sister-in-law Marie, parents Nicholas and Mary and granddaughter Rebecca.
Laverne will be missed by surviving brothers and sisters-in-law, Irvin and Ellen Jantzi, Ohmer and Esther Jantzi and nieces and nephews. Also missed by special friend Florence McFarlane.
In 1997 Laverne married Ruth (Roth) who predeceased him in 2010. Fondly remembered by Ruth’s children, Karen and Ed Gunn of Vancouver BC, Barry and Sharon Roth of Tokyo Japan, Darryl and Catharine Roth of Victoria BC, Melanie and Paul Smith of London and four grandchildren.
The family deeply appreciated the supportive community Dad was privileged to be part of at Nithview Community in New Hamburg for many years. Words cannot express the gratitude for the phenomenal care provided by staff at Knollcrest Lodge in Milverton for the past five months.
Friends and relatives may call at Faith Mennonite Church, Kingwood on Sunday May 3 from 1:30 to 5:00 and 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Maple View Mennonite Church, Wellesley on Monday May 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Brent Kipfer officiating.
Burial to follow in Maple View Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to Maple View Mennonite Church Building Fund. Arrangements entrusted to Brenneman Funeral Home, Atwood (519-356-2382).

passed away at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre, Durham on Monday, April 27th, 2015. Hendrik “Henk” Koeslag, of RR#4 Durham, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Jean (nee MacArthur). Dear father of Catherine and her husband Klaus Buick, Douglas Koeslag, Dorothy Koeslag, Bertha Benninger and Bonnie and her husband Ben Cameron. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren: Ryan Buick, Laurie Buick, Scott Koeslag, Chris Koeslag, Cara Benninger, Kaitlyn Benninger, Aaron Benninger, Heather Eccles, Thomas Cameron, Christine Clark and 11 great-grandchildren. Survived by his brother Herman Koeslag and his wife Joanne, Gerda and her husband Fred Grierson, Rickie Grierson, Marie and her husband Klaas Inthof and Mineke and her husband Bill Spencer. Predeceased by his son-in-law Francis Benninger, his grandson Ian Cameron, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Friends may call at the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Friday, May 1st from 6 – 9 p.m. A celebration of Henk’s life will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Saugeen Valley Conservation Foundation, Sisters of Life or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
