Lepore, Deborah "Debbie" of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, September 17th, 2015, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, at the age of 64. Long time companion of Howard Brown and dearly loved mother of Barbara Thody and Jennifer and her husband Selomon Menghsha, all of London and their father Raymond Lepore of Montreal. Dear sister Helen Ennis (Jeff), Darlene Gardner and the late Larry Griggs. Cherished grandmother of Brittney, Joshua, Emily, Isaiah and Maxwell. Special friend of Dave, Giselle, Carol and Ruby. Debbie was born in Quebec on May 10th, 1951, the daughter of the late Irma and Bill Griggs . She worked for Coil Plus.
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Saturday from 9:00-10:00 a.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment of ashes to take place on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, West Lorne. Ferguson, Daphne (Thorndycraft) of Terrace Lodge, Aylmer and formerly of Union, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, September 8th, 2015, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late C. William “Bill” Ferguson (July 2, 2006) and dearly loved mother of Steven Ferguson (Sandra), Susan Brown (Dave), Sandra Lynch (Bill), Sharon Cummings (John) and Shelley VandenBroek. Dear sister of Evelyn Roach (Morgan) of Leamington and the late Bill Thorndycraft. Dear sister-in-law of Donna Lyle. Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Daphne was born in Leamington on July 17, 1927, the daughter of the late William and Mabel (Setterington) Thorndycraft. She is a graduate Nurse of the Memorial Hospital, St. Thomas. She worked as a registered nurse a number of years for Dr. Ed Brown. Daphne was a longtime member of the St. Thomas Curling Club and played darts for many years at the Union Sports Club.

Earhart, Ruth Verna of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, September 26th, 2015, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 78th year. Dearly loved wife of Mervin Earhart and loved mother of J. Brian Earhart (Caroline) of London, Tim Earhart (Loni) of St. Thomas, Richard Earhart (Lydia) of London, Robert Earhart (Terry Lynn) of London and Brenda Drost (Mark) of St. Catharines. Dear sister of Marilyn Rourke of Florida, Karyl Orton of St. Thomas, Jim Holborn of London, Keith Holborn of California and the late Michael Holborn. Sadly missed by 23 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Ruth was born in Windsor on August 15th, 1938, the daughter of the late Cletus and Verna (Kells) Holborn. She came to St. Thomas in 1956 and was a longtime member of the Good News Christian Church.

Flowers gratefully declined. Ruth loved Teddy Bears and her wish was to receive Teddy Bears or a donation to the Caring Cupboard.

Cairns, Robert Emerson of St. Thomas, passed away at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, on Wednesday, September 16th, 2015, in his 70th year. Dearly loved husband of Brenda (Woodford) Cairns and loved father of Vicki Cairns and Julie McNulty (Shane). Dear brother of Catherine Gross (Chris) of Dutton and the late Betty Young and the late Norma Vanderhorst (late Hank). Dear brother-in-law of Donna Westra (Ron Wilson), Marg Moore (Brian Sheen), Barbara Haskell (Steve), Bob Woodford Jr. and Bill Woodford (Gloria). Dear son-in-law of Bob Woodford Sr. Special uncle to a number of nieces and nephews. Bob was born in St. Thomas on March 17th, 1946, the son of the late Robert John and Norma (Small) Cairns. He was retired from the City of St. Thomas. Bob enjoyed woodworking and playing cards. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Van Tassel, Violet Marie (Thompson) of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Monday, September 28th, 2015, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of the late William Earl Van Tassell (2006) and dearly loved mother of Cheryl (late Ed) Jermyn and Diane Van Tassell both of St. Thomas. Violet was born in St. Thomas ON January 7th, 1930. Predeceased by her mother Marie (Welter) Thompson. She was retired from J.H. Fowler Ltd. was a member of First United Church.
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St, Thomas, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held on Thursday afternoon. Interment in Elmdale Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Animal Aide.

Hudgins, Keith Barry of St. Thomas, passed away on Tuesday, September 15th, 2015, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 73rd year. Dearly loved husband of Jeanne (Reaume) Hudgins and dear brother of Sam Hudgins of London. Predeceased by 3 brothers John, Bruce and Richard. Keith was born in Kingsville on July 2nd, 1943, the son of the late Ronald R. and Dorothy (Foxworthy) Hudgins. He was a graduate of Waterloo Lutheran University and Althouse College, London. He was a retired teacher. He taught for the Thames Valley School Board at A.V.S.S., St. Thomas. Keith was a member of the Retired Teachers Association.
A celebration of life will be held for Keith in the New Year. Cremation, with no public visitation. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Andrejchuk, Michael of St. Thomas, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, September 26th, 2015, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, with his wife by his side, at the age of 99. Beloved husband of over 70 years of Luba (Breha) Andrejchuk. Dear Godfather of Eugenia and a number of other Godchildren. Dear brother of Elizabeth of the Ukraine. Predeceased by 3 brothers and a sister. Michael was born in the Ukraine on June 12, 1916, the son of the late Ivan and Anna (Pradid) Andrejchuk. He came to Canada in 1948. Michael built and managed with his wife the Maple Leaf Motel and he worked over 18 years at Canadian Timken. Michael helped build the Ukrainian Church in St. Thomas and was a former Deacon. He was a member also of the Ukrainian Catholic Church (Christ the King), London.
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Church (Christ the King) , 707 Nelson St., London. Interment to follow in Saint Peter’s Cemetery. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home on Wednesday at 8:15 p.m.
