Crocker, William Edward “Bill”

Crocker, William Edward “Bill” of Dorchester, passed away on Tuesday, March 17th, 2015, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 79th year. Dearly loved husband of Patricia Pauline (McGuire) Crocker and loved father of Wayne Crocker of St. Thomas, Steve Crocker (Cynthia) of London, Ken Crocker (Nicole) of St. Thomas and Kim Bradley (Dave) of Lyons. Dear brother of Doug Crocker (Marilyn) of Tilbury, Eva Orr of Grand Bend, Cynthia Smith (Dave) of London and Dorothy of Peterborough. Predeceased by brother Gord and survived by sister-in-law Pauline of Sarnia and predeceased by a brother George (late Frieda) and a sister Marie. Sadly missed by 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Bill was born in London on August 23, 1936, the son of the late George and Evelyn (Showler) Crocker. He was retired from London Mechanical Services.
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Friday from 7-9 p.m. The Memorial service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.

Gordon, Donna (Price)

Gordon, Donna (Price) of St. Thomas passed away at the St. Thomas –Elgin General Hospital on Wednesday March 18, 2015 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late Gerald “Jerry” Gordon (2000) and loving mother of Andrea Gordon and her husband Winston Munro of Hamilton, John and his wife Kimberley Gordon of Mississauga, Jamie Gordon (Sue Tuff) of St. Thomas and Valerie and her husband Kevin Laidlaw of St. Thomas. Loved grandmother of Owen, Gavin, Darrell, Sheena, Nicholas, Sarah, Dustin, Adam, Wayne, Jeff, Adam and Brody and great-grandmother of Cameron, Riley, Lucas, Lea, Jacob, Andrew and Juliana. Dear sister of Lois Medlyn of St. Thomas. Donna was born December 8, 1922 in St. Thomas , the daughter of the late Harry and Verna Price. She worked for the New York Central Railroad and St. Thomas-Elgin AMR (Community Living). She was a member of Grace United Church, the U.C.W. and the New Vision Community Church and was involved with the choir her entire life. During WW II Donna was a “Wren” with the Royal Canadian Navy.
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the New Vision Community Church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow, with interment of ashes in Union Cemetery at a later date. Remembrances may be made to New Vision Church or the St. Thomas-Elgin Association for Community Living.

Harris, Ralph Eugene “Gene”

Harris, Ralph Eugene “Gene” of St. Thomas passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital in his 73rd year. Dearly loved husband of Patricia Ann (Rowe) Harris and loving father of Tracy Ann Harris (Bryan) of Port Bruce , Charmaine Hesser of St. Thomas and the late Greg Harris. Dear brother of late Deanna Sadler (Dave Sadler) of St. Thomas, Marvin Harris (Nancy) and Reg Harris (Darlene) all of St. Thomas. Also survived by several grandchildren. Gene was born January 24, 1943 in St. Thomas, the son of the late Reg and Irene (Warner) Harris. He was retired from Carr Delivery.
Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated.

JONES, Marie Josephine

JONES, Marie Josephine of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Sunday, March 15th, 2015 in her 91st year. Marie Josephine Lamour Jones born April 7th, 1924 in Springfield, ON. Beloved wife of the late Leslie Franklin Jones who were married April 24, 1957 in Tillsonburg, ON. They lived happily for 43 years on their farm at RR#5 St. Thomas. After Leslie passed away in 2000 Marie moved to an apartment in St. Thomas. Loving daughter of Walter Lamour and Pearl Crysler. Predeceased by sisters Clara Olive Lamour, Marguerite Lamour Scott (Grant), Helen Lamour Dillen (Cecil), brothers Murray Lamour her twin and Cecil Roy Lamour and nephew Walter "Wallie" Dillen and great niece Alyssa Kish. She will be greatly missed by nephews Pat Scott (Joan) of Port Rowan and Lynn Scott (Betty) of Tillsonburg, and 4 nieces Carolyn Hamilton of Ajax, Norma Wilson of Niagara Falls, Sharron Scott of Georgetown and Nancy Dillen of Barrie, and by her good friend Mary Veenstra of St. Thomas, also several great and great great nieces and nephews. Marie attended school in Otterville and Delhi and after school worked at the Tillsonburg Shoe Factory making men's shoes. Marie was of United Empire Loyalist descent through her great-grandmother Eliza Havens who married William Kelly. Marie was a volunteer for the St. Thomas Chapter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation and was a devoted member of the River Road Women's Institute.

Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street St. Thomas where funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 18th, 2015. Interment to follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00-1:00pm. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Kully, Helen

Kully, Helen of Chartwell Nursing Home, Aylmer and formerly of St. Thomas passed away on Sunday March 15, 2015 in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late George Kully and loving mother of Ruth Ann Jacob of Dresden and Tom and his wife Mary Lou Stanley of St. Thomas. Predeceased by her daughter Veronica and by her son Bruce. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great great grandchild. Helen was born May 7, 1926 in Lithuania, the daughter of the late Frank and Vera (Mattus) Kelly.
A private memorial service will be held. Cremation has taken place. Donations may be made to the Serenity House Hospice in memory of Helen. Williams Funeral Home 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas entrusted with the arrangements.

Locke, Joyce Helen

Locke, Joyce Helen of St. Thomas passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Friday, March 20th, 2015, in her 80th year. Beloved wife and best friend of Charles Locke and loved mother of Drew and his wife Debra of St. Thomas, Debbie and her husband Steven Potts of St. Thomas, Dale and his partner Carol of Scarborough, and Daniel Locke of Baden. Lovingly remembered by a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild, nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her son Dwight Locke, her daughter-in-law Leslie Locke and her brothers Ken Green (Helen of St. Thomas) and James Green. Joyce was born in Niagara Falls, ON on May 3rd, 1935, daughter of the late Ken and Edith (Anderson) Green. She was a member of the Genealogy Society and an avid volunteer. She enjoyed music and jamming with her friends at many local fundraising events.
Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St. St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 1:00pm. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Lucas, Barbara Alice

Lucas, Barbara Alice of St. Thomas, passed away on Sunday, March 15th, 2015, at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in her 67th year. Beloved wife of the late Douglas L. Lucas (2010) and dearly loved mother of Doug and Don Lucas of St. Thomas and Yvonne Myers (James) of London. Dear brother of Tom Mills of London. Predeceased by 2 sisters, Mary Ann and Ruby and a brother Bill. Sadly missed by 11 grandchildren , 2 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Barbara was born in Grimsby on February 15, 1949 the daughter of the late Jack and Jean Mills. Barb was a musician and loved to sing. She sang in numerous bands and enjoyed jamming.
Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St., St. Thomas where funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
