BAKER, Fred

(Retired from Chrysler Ajax Trim after 37 years of service) Passed away suddenly on Friday, June 4, 2010 at Lakeridge Health in Port Perry at the age of 63.

Fred Baker dearly beloved husband of Connie Baker of Port Perry. Loving father of Matt, Tom and Katie. Dear papa of McKinley. Dear son of Ethel Baker and predeceased by Wesley Baker. Brother of Barb, Nancy (Frank), Marjorie (Rick) and Greg (Sheila). Son-in-law of Tom Gleason and predeceased by Mary Gleason. Fred will be sadly missed by all the Gleason family, his many nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 9, 2010.

If desired memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.

Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa on Friday, June 4th, 2010 at the age of 73.

Beloved husband of Doris (nee Richards) for 51 years. Loving father of Cindy Shymchyshyn (Mark Caverly). Loving Papa of Michael and Stephanie. He will be missed by his best pals Bo and Nikki. Predeceased by his Aunt Nettie Fletcher Johnson.

Memorial Service was held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234), on Thursday, June 10th at 1:00 P.M. Interment Union Cemetery.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1710 Scugog St., Port Perry on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11 a.m.

DEROY, Ernest Lorne

Peacefully on Friday, June 4th, 2010 at Lakeridge Health-Oshawa in his 72nd year.

Beloved husband of Lee. Loving father of Tina, Ernie, Leca, Rodney, Warren, Tina and Terena. Dear Poppy of Sarah, Connor, Ryan, Roger, Leanna, Warren, Zackery, Crystal, Emma, Bradly, Taylor and the late Robbie. Dear brother of Ronnie, Delores, Roger and the late Betty, Shirley, Dickie and Patsy. He will also be sadly missed by his in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.

In keeping with Ernie’s wishes, there will be no visitation and cremation will take place.

There will be a gathering in his memory on Sunday, July 4th at 2:00 P.M. at 89 Burcher Road, Ajax, Ontario.

Grandmother of Faye, Kenneth, Laurence, Teri Ann, Sharon, Dianne, Darren, Jason and 12 others. Great-grandmother of Phallon and 24 others. Great-great- grandmother of Kristiana. Aunt of Neville, the late Alma Hopkinson, Yvonne, Joy Anne and Arlene.

Peacefully on Thursday, June 3, 2010, in Peterborough, at the age of 51.

Devoted wife of Ken of Oshawa. Loving mother of Amanda Robbins and her fiancé Brad Archbell, Kim Robbins, Jennifer Dent and her husband Blair, and Kelly Johnston. Grandma to Jonathan, Benjamin, Zachary, Nathaniel, Emma, Aiden, and Wynter. Much loved daughter of Jim and Roberta Orr. Sister of Jimmy, Maryellen, Terry, Sandra, and sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

Ever mindful of his beloved wife Katherine (nee Walters), Reverend Al passed away on June 3, 2010 at the age of 87.

Ordained May, 1966 and faithfully serving his community as Anglican Priest at the parishes of St. Cuthbert, Leaside, North Essa, St. George, Pickering (1973 - 1981), St. Paul, L'Amoreaux and St. Margaret- in-the-Pines in Scarborough and St. Paul, Chatsworth.

Naval Veteran serving in WWII on the HMS Longueuil and CFB Esquimalt. Durham Regional Police Chaplain for 12 years.

Predeceased by daughter Beverley in 2007. Grandfather to Chris (and Suzanne) of Milton, David (and Jana) of Calgary and Catherine (and Fitz) of Mississauga. Great-grandfather to Tyler, Isabella, Tristan, Chloe and William.

Funeral Service will take place at St. George's Anglican Church, Pickering Village, 77 Randall Drive, Ajax, Ontario on Tuesday, June 8 at 1 p.m.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to John and Isabelle Beaudet and the many members of the community and the Elderly Health Care Community that have provided support and friendship over the years.
