STEEVES, Milton Addison
Retired employee of General Motors. Veteran of WW11, Member of Oshawa Masonic Lodge, Member of Royal Canadian Legion Oshawa. Passed away at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Tuesday, June 28, 2005, in his 88th year. Milton beloved husband of the late Treva Steeves, loving companion of Dorothy Jones. Loving father of Janet and her husband Sheldon Smith, Gail and her husband Ben Crawford. He will be remembered by Fred and Shirley Jones. Loving uncle of Donna and John Dallas. Dear grandfather of Tina and Jamie Lee, Jennifer Smith, Jason and Shelly Smith, Michelle and Mitch McKay, Danielle and Greg Cantin, and predeceased by Terra Lynn Smith. He will be sadly missed by his three step children and his eight great grandchildren. He will be remembered by his sisters Bernita Clarke of New Brunswick and Bernice Loudfoot of British Columbia.

HOPKINS, Kathleen Mary "Kay"
(Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service 1943 - 46 on the HMCS Cornwallis and Peregrine in Halifax, NS, Member of the Boulevard Club for 40 years winning numerous trophies for Badminton and Tennis) Peacefully, on Monday, June 27, 2005 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, after celebrating her 90th birthday on June 10th. Loved daughter of the late Winnifred and Thomas Hopkins. Dear sister of Sydney Hopkins of Oshawa, and Derek Hopkins and his wife Kay of Courtice. Much loved aunt of Lisa, Susan and Deborah Hopkins, Judith Robinson, Janet Booker and Margaret Doe. A Funeral Service will be held in the Anglican Church of the Ascension, 294 North Street in Port Perry on Friday, July 1st at 11 a.m. with Reverend Brent Stiller officiating. Private interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens, Whitby. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque through the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) to the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation in Port Perry, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of North Durham or the Charity of your choice.

IRISH, Doreen
Loved daughter of late Margaret and Eric Burton. She has gone home to be with her Lord and Saviour after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer on June 27, 2005. Beloved wife and best friend of Lloyd Irish. Loving mother of Darin, Eric and wife Alison. Loved Gramma of Blair. Dear sister of Annie and her late husband Murray Gilbert, Margaret and husband Mervin Misselbrook. Doreen will missed by many nieces nephews. The Funeral Service will be held at the Faith Baptist Church (95 Taunton Road East) in Whitby on Friday July 8th at 11:00am. Interment GROVESIDE Cemetery, Brooklin. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Church or a Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

WILLIAMS, Dennis Patrick (Denny)
Peacefully after a battle with cancer, Denny passed away at home on Monday, June 27th, 2005. In his 74th year. Born July 23rd, 1931. Loving partner and best friend of Pauline for 26 years. Dear father of Fred Williams of Brampton, Allan (Angie) Williams of Calgary, Alberta and Lisa (Ravi) Singh of Brampton. Step dad to Stephen (Belinda) Bell, Penny (Ron) Elson and Herb (Brenda) Bell, all of Oshawa. Best Grandpa Denny to Kane and Eden Williams of Calgary, Corey and Jordan Singh of Brampton, Adam and Kristin Bell, Ashley and Amanda Elson, Jamie and Ryan Bell. Dear brother of Joyce Porter of Tweed, Esme (Sonny) Kornylo, David (Nancy) of Oshawa, the late Thomas, Ken, Harry, Isabel Fox and Beth Kane. Brother-in-law to Doreen Williams, George Fox and Anne Williams. Will be fondly remembered by Margaret. Denny was a sheet metal worker Local 30 Toronto, avid golfer (Golden Oldies) and bowler. Long time member of Canadian Corps Branch 42, Canadian Legion Branch 43 and Ayren Links Golf Course. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel" 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Sunday, July 3rd from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 P.M. Complete Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, July 4th at 1:00 P.M. Peacefully, on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the Versa Care Nursing Home in Uxbridge, at age 90. Pearl (nee Baker), beloved wife of the late John Chasczewski of Port Perry (1992). Loved mother of Nicholas Chase and his wife Millie of Burlington, John Chasczewski Jr. of Whitby, Frederick Chase of Courtice, Thomas Chase and his wife Kathleen of Port Perry, and Alexander Chasczewski and his wife Karen of Oshawa. Loving grandmother of nine and great grandmother of eight. Survived by her sister Cathy and her husband Wishy Colterman of Hamilton, her brother Tom Baker and his wife Karen of Burnaby, BC, and her sisters- in-law Alice of Hamilton, Ann of Brantford, Kay of Brantford, and Rolla of Niagara Falls, NY, and she was predeceased by her sisters Rose Kruchka and Edna Lundy and her brothers Jack, Lawrence, Tony, Joseph and Frank. The family of Pearl Chasczewski will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Thursday, June 30th from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. with Father Peter Lackmanec officiating. Interment Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

(Principal of Maple Leaf Public School) Suddenly, in the prime of her life, on Sunday, June 26, 2005. Beloved mother of Gyasi. Cherished daughter of Zereta and Eghert Morris. Loving sister of Wayne and his wife Althea, and Jason and his wife Melanie. Dear aunt of nephews Denver and Malcolm. Special "sister" of Sharon. Sadly missed by her Rhooms siblings, extended family and many friends. January 17th, 1927 - June 26th, 2005. Aged 78 years. (Served in the U.S. Army 3rd and 16th Infantry Regiment in Germany from 1945 - 1947. Retired after 39 years of Service as Foreman at the Stone Container Corporation in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) Beloved husband of the late Florence (Matynka). Dearest father of Vi Lloyd and her husband Terry of Oshawa. Cherished Pop Pop to Michael and Daniel. Will be sadly missed by the Lloyd family and many friends. A very special thank you to Dr. W. FORD, Kenneth George
Passed away peacefully at the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre on Saturday June 25, 2005 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of 50 years to Clare. Loving Dad of Kathryne and her husband Peter Zimmermann, Peter and his wife Denise, Kenneth and his wife Nancy, and sadly missed by Doug Hay. Proud Grand Dad of Colin, Heather, Suzanne, Grace, Cody, Tyler, Lauren, Meghan, Kerri, and the late Lisa. Br. # 43, Retiree Daimler Chrysler, Canada) Nicholas will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his sisters Anne Lee and Katherine Butkevich, his nieces and nephews Don Lee, Dennis Lee, Mary Anne Podolak, Gary Lee, Theresa Belmonte, his great nieces and nephews, and his great great nieces and nephews, and his cousins and friends. POWER, ANNE (Nancy)
Passed away with courage and grace at home on Saturday June 25, 2005. Nancy, in her 82nd year. Beloved wife of Sean. Loving mother of Frances. Survived by her sister Teresa, and by her brothers Joseph, Seamus, and Michael in Tullamore, Ireland. She will be missed by her relatives, in-laws, and friends, in Ireland, Canada, and the United States. Special thanks to Paddy Power, Marrie Casey, the PSW's Katie Jones, Kathleen Langley, and Darlene McDonald. Heartfelt thanks to Father Edwin Gonsalves and parish nurse Mary Lynch, for their prayerful compassion, and also to Dr. Kathy Lee Sang, a caring physician. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. Visitation Monday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Prayers 7:00 pm. Loving wife and best friend of Antoine, mother of Sierra and Hunter. Loving daughter of Betty and Neil and deeply missed by her sister Melinda. Grandparents Lovina Greer and the late Ken Greer, Delbert and Dorothy Catherwood. Daughter-in-law of Mary and Carmelo Albis, sister-in-law Rose, brother-in-law Julian and Tamarra. Grandparents Maria Vanderlinde and Rosa and Domenic Albis. Dearly missed by aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews. Nicole will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
