NAUSS, Doris
At Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Sunday August 14th, 2005 with her family at her side. Doris Yeomans age 83 years. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Charles Nauss. Dear mother of Brian Nauss, Donna Simmons & her husband Robin, and Joy Ashling. Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Kevin, Kristen, and Ryan Nauss, and Martin Ashling. Dear sister of Dorothy Scott, Barbara Zwicker, and Harold Yeomans. Predeceased by brothers Myles, David and Ralph Yeomans, and sisters Marion King and Vera Maybee. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the Chapel on Thursday August 18th at 1 p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Durham Lung Association would be appreciated. Visitation 12 p.m. - 1 p.m. Thursday.

TURNER, Ronald George Buchanan MBChB, FRCS
Passed away peacefully on August 14th, 2005 at Memorial Hospital Bowmanville after a long, and astonishingly courageous battle with poor health Cherished husband and best friend of Norma Beecroft, and loving brother of Graeme. He will be sadly mourned by his children Roddy and wife Frances Turner, Laura McNeill, Karen and husband Corrado Tomarchio, and Wendy Turner. Loving Papa of Corrie and Susie Turner, Ian and Alexander McNeill, and Robin and Adriana Tomarchio. Special thanks for the special care to the staff of Marnwood Life Care, Bowmanville and the doctors and nurses at Memorial Hospital Bowmanville. Cremation has taken place. Friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Service at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Friday August 19th, 2005 at 11 am. If desired, donations can be made to Memorial Hospital Foundation, Bowmanville.

BUTCHER, Isobel "nee Chapman"
Peacefully on Saturday, August 13th, 2005 in her 75th year. Beloved wife of the late Keith. Loving mother of Susan, Bruce and Beth (John) Game. COFFEY, Marie Kathryn
At the Lakeridge Health-Bowmanville on Saturday, August 13th, 2005 in her 79th year. Beloved daughter of the late Dennis and Helen Coffey and predeceased by her sister Helen Torrance. Survived by her dear brother Jack Coffey, sisters Eleanor Robertson and her husband Norm and Patricia Jarvelainen and her husband Kari and many nieces and nephews. Born in Detroit, Michigan; employed by Imperial Oil in Toronto; resided in New York, New York followed by Long Beach, California and Burnaby, British Columbia. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel", 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Tuesday, August 16th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. AFuneral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 17th at 10:30 a.m. at ST. MARY OF THE PEOPLE CATHOLIC CHURCH (570 Marion Avenue, Oshawa). Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery, Toronto. Donations may be made to Alzheimer Society of Durham Region or Lakeridge Health-Bowmanville Hospital.

COLE, Eileen Muriel
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Cole at the Palliative Care Unit, Lakeridge Health-Whitby on Saturday, August 13th, 2005 at the age of 77. A lifelong resident of Oshawa, she was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Katherine Cole and was predeceased by her sisters Doris and Edna and her brothers Ray and Bert. Eileen will be lovingly remembered by her sister Hilda (and brother- in-law Harold) Woolley, her many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. A member of the Telephone Pioneers of America, Eileen worked for Bell Canada for 38 ½ years before retiring in 1983. Her health had deteriorated in the past 3 years and after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, she is now at peace. We would like to thank the staff of Cedarcroft Retirement Home (Oshawa), the 8th floor, Lakeridge Health-Oshawa and the 4th floor, Lakeridge Health-Whitby for their kind and loving care during Eileen's stay with each of them. A Funeral Service was held at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel", 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Tuesday, August 16th, followed by interment at Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens. In memory of Eileen, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a Charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

GONSALVES, Vernon V.
With great sadness the family announces the passing of Vernon at Thorntonview Long Term Care on Saturday, August 13th, 2005 at age 65. He was the beloved father of Joanne Lamacchia (husband Nick) and Paul (wife Dominique), proud granddad of Christopher, Nicholas, Simon and Christine, brother of Bernadette, Bridget and Roseann and good friend of Janet. The family is honouring his wish of not holding a Funeral Service. Many thanks to the special ladies at Thorntonview who cared for Vern so well. Flowers greatfully declined. Suddenly on Saturday, August 13th, 2005 at the age of 20. Beloved son of Rusty and Brenda Hayden. Lovingly remembered by his companion Tracy Jamieson and their daughter Jordyn. Brother of Melissa and Cheyeanne. Grandson of William and the late Dorothy Hayden, Rita Polson (Wayne Kelly) and Raymond and Linda Boudrias. Gregg will be lovingly remembered by his niece Cieanna and his many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends. Loving grandfather of Katherine (Jamie), Sarah, Stephanie, Alison, Gillian, Andrew, David, Rebecca and Olivia. STURCH, Mildred
(Formerly of Wilmot Creek, Newcastle and recently of Comfortable Alternative Bowmanville)
Passed away at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Saturday August 13, 2005. Dearly loved wife of the late William David Sturch. She will be missed by her brothers-in-law Leonard (Elizabeth) of Auckland, New Zealand and Peter (Angela) of London England, sisters-in-law Mrs. Jean (Trevor) Morgan, Ms Joan Sturch and Mrs. Jacqueline Sturch and their families. She will also be missed by her many friends in Canada and the United States. Mrs. Sturch was born in Springfield Massachusetts U.S.A. and is a graduate of Chicopee High School and Bay Path College. She was a Past Grand President of the Ladies Auxiliaries to the Order of Scottish Clans in the U.S. and Canada. Past President of Aux. 39, O.S.C., Chicopee Falls and Aux 68 O.S.C. Toronto. A member of Aloha Chapter # 258 O.E.S. and a life Member of the Tartan Social Club, Toronto. According to the wishes of Mrs. Sturch there will be no visitation or funeral service. Graveside service will be held at a later date at the Pirie family plot in Fairview Cemetery, Chicopee MS U.S.A. If desired donations may be made to the Memorial Hospital Foundation Bowmanville.

At the Ajax and Pickering Health Centre, on Friday, August 12, 2005. Predeceased by her husband Thomas Chalmers. Beloved mother of Carol Mole (Norman), and James Chalmers. Dear grandmother of Stephen, Gregory, Lisa, Heather, Michelle, and Amy, and great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren.

Dear sister of Ginny Campbell & her husband Greg, Ronald Kirby & his wife Paula Kelly, Kim Anderson & her husband Brian, Guy Kirby & his wife Susan, Michael Kirby & his wife Susan, Sherry Hofing & her husband Ben, Scott Kirby & his wife Monica. Sister-in-law of Michael Makrevski & his wife Laureen Barretto. Daughter in law of Dushan & Mara Makrevski. Predeceased by a brother Richard Kirby. Survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
