Peacefully at Sunnycrest Nursing Home, Whitby on Monday, June 6th, 2005. Jessie Martha Edwards, in her 88th year. Beloved daughter of the late Herbert and Grace Gould. Loving mother of the late Patricia Miller. Dear Grandmother of William, Janie and Robert. Sister of Audrey Straiton of Oshawa. Fondly remembered by her good friends Robert and Sandra Wallace. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel" 847 King St. West (905-721-1234) for visitation on Thursday, June 9th from 12 Noon until time of Service in the Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Gordon Hobbs of Port Perry, beloved husband of the late Catherine (nee Knowles). Loved father of Bonnie and her husband Ross Peacock of Markham, Ed Hobbs and his wife Carol of Port Perry, Jayne Hobbs and her husband Bob Simpson of Toronto, and Roy Hobbs and his wife Josey of Mississauga. Loving grandfather of Heather (Lenny), Julie, Michelle (Mike), Sarah (Ralf), Matt (Jenn), Krysten, Breannen, Kaitlyn, Matthew and Stacey, and great-grandfather of Zachary, Marrissa and Brendan. The family of Gordon Hobbs will receive friends at the Anglican Church of the Ascension, North Street on Thursday, June10th from 12 noon - 1 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Church at 1 p.m. with Reverend Brent Stiller officiating. Private interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque through the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott- Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society.

KELLY, John (retired employee of the T.T.C.)
Peacefully after a lengthy illness at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Monday, June 6, 2005, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband for 57 years of Mollie of Wilmot Creek, Newcastle. Missed by his sister and two brothers in Ireland, and his many friends. A special thank-you to Dr. Harvey Williams and all the staff at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville for their care and compassion. (just north of 401 at the lights) on Wednesday, June 8, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with prayers at 8:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 9, at 11:00 a.m. at ST. MONTAIGUE, Robert Bruce
Suddenly on Monday, June 6, 2005 with his loving wife by his side. Bruce, at the age of 56, beloved husband of Becky. Loving father of Nicole and her husband Dylan Giles, Jeffrey, and Robert. Adoring Bapa of Jacob. Dearly remembered by his sisters Lin and Elaine, and by many relatives and friends. Bruce will always be remembered with respect for his kindness, generosity and wisdom by all who knew him. Funeral Service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, 300 Dundas Street West, Whitby on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at 11a.m. Interment GROVESIDE Cemetery, Brooklin. WILLSON, George Edward
Peacefully at Rouge Valley Health Centre, Ajax site on Monday, June 6th, 2005. George beloved husband of Gertrude "Trudy". The greatest Dad to Dorothy and her husband Bud Thomas and Bruce and his wife Ruth. Loved Pops and Grandpa to Debbie and her husband Jeff, David and Paul. Great-grandpa to Rachel-Ann and Bridgette. Lovingly remembered by his brother Frank and predeceased by his brother Ross. MOYER, Harvey D.
(8/8/29 - 6/5/05) Passed away on Sunday, June 5th, 2005 at the St. Catharine's General Hospital with his daughters by his side. Harvey was the beloved husband of the late Kathy Moyer and the greatest dad to Laurie (Mike Andrews) and Leslie (Mike Cousin). He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Adam, Marcus, Ian and Lauren. Harvey had a prominent career at General Motors and retired in Oshawa in 1985 after 36 years of service. After retirement Harvey and Kathy travelled extensively and enjoyed spending summers at the cottage in Southampton. A private family service will be held in Oshawa. Donations can be made to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre or Parkinson Society of Canada. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel" 847 King St. West.

Suddenly on Sunday, June 5, 2005, in his 37th year. Loving father of Cole. Dearest friend of Trudy, Cole's mother. Beloved son of Robert O'Brien and Carol Rogers. Dear brother of Christopher O'Brien. RANKINE, Patricia Anne McNaughton
(Retired Constable Royal Canadian Mounted Police) Suddenly on Sunday, June 5th, 2005 at her residence, Whitby, Ontario. Loved daughter of the late George (former Chief of Police, Whitby) and the late Ina (Georgina) Rankine. Sister of David and Donna Rankine, Aunt of Tanya and Geoff Freshwater and Shane Rankine and fiancée Michelle Crandles. Niece of Grace Skelton, Whitby. Pat will be greatly missed also by her family in Scotland. Pat was well known through her work at Denise House, Oshawa and her generosity of spirit and volunteer time at Saint Vincent's Kitchen. At Pat's wishes there will not be a funeral service. All who knew and loved Pat throughout the many facets of her life are sincerely invited to attend a remembrance and celebration of Pat's life on Sunday, July 24, 2005 at 2 P.M. at Windreach Farm, 312 Townline Road, Ashburn, Ontario. (Honourary member of Wedgwood Hunting and Fishing Club; third generation owner of Burns Shoes, Four Corners est. 1890; former member of Chamber of Commerce, and Kiwanis Club) It is with sadness, but also a grateful appreciation of Don's passion for life, that we announce his peaceful passing at his home, "Burnscroft" in Enfield, on Saturday, June 4, 2005, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of the late Lois Elizabeth ‘Betty' (nee Emmett). Loving father of Libbie Burns of Columbus, Ontario; Jeannie and her husband Bill Buckner of Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Jeffrey and his wife Karen Burns of Whitby. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Lisa, Jaimie, Dean, Marnie, Alana, Nathan, Matthew, and Collin. Survived by his brother Robert ‘Spike' Burns and his late sisters Dorothy Joan Sparks and Beverley Brocklehurst. BURTON, Bernice
Peacefully at Hillsadale Estates in Oshawa on Saturday, June 4th, 2005 in her 72nd year. Bernice will be sadly missed by her dear Friends Helen and Fred Wright and her family in Ontario and Newfoundland. Following cremation a graveside committal service will take place at 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, June 8th, 2005 at Bond Head cemetery in Newcastle.
