CSAKY, George Michel
Beloved husband of Charlotte, died suddenly at his home in Oshawa on June 7, 2005, in his 80th year. A soft spoken, generous man, who made friends in both the Hungarian community and among Canadians during his long tenure at the General Motors plant in Oshawa. He was head of the Csaky clan who's members reside on 3 continents. The Requiem Mass will be at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church, 432 Sheppard Ave. E., Toronto on Saturday, June 11, 2005, at 11am. George Csaky chose to be cremated; his ashes will be taken to his ancestral home and placed in the family crypt at Szepesmindszent, now Slovakia.

Peacefully on Tuesday June 7, 2005 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa in her 73rd year. Joan, beloved wife of the late Irvine Dowdell. Loved mother of Richard Dowdell and his wife Pat, Ed Dowdell and his wife Marjorie, and the late Joanne Ferguson and the late Leonard Dowdell. Mother-in-law of Ferg Ferguson and Evelyn Dowdell. Loving grandmother of Keri-Lynn, Michael, Stacey, Sara, Alex, Amanda, Cheri, and great grandchildren Zachary, and Kara. Dear sister of Jean, George, and June and the late Clarence. Joan is predeceased by her parents Jenny and Clarence Van de Walker. Joan will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loved family and dear friends. With amazing spirit, this indomitable, petite 81 year old and feisty fighter kept chronic lymphocyctic leukemia at bay for over 14 years, only to be overwhelmed by a sneak and sinister attack by colon rectal cancer. Catherine left for a sun-drenched place on June 7, 2005, taking with her the hearts of her daughters, Elizabeth Condie of Whitby and Cathy Furgoch of Pembroke. Predeceased by her husband, J.F.H. (Fred) O'Dell, Catherine was the much-loved grandmother of Matthew Furgoch, and the baby sister of two surviving siblings, Ruby Weldon of Midland and Nevada Kennedy of Whitby. Cherished grandmother of twenty-four and great-grandmother of twenty. Daughter of the late Rose Legere. Survived by sisters Evelyn and Joan, and brother Bob. Predeceased by sister Ruth and brother Fred Beal. Helen was a resident of Ajax for 45 years before moving to Wilmot Creek. Helen was well known for her kindness and generosity - an act of kindness in Helen's memory would be appreciated by the family.
