LIDSTER, Eddy
Passed away suddenly on May 27th, 2005 at St. Michael's Hospital with his family by his side, at the age of 39. Devoted and loving husband of Joanne. Extraordinary father of Edward and Emily. Devoted son of Rowena and the late Edward. Cherished brother of Donna and Gary. Beloved uncle of Lisa. Loving son-in-law of Bernice (Ma'am) and the late Jim (Sir). Eddy will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends. Friends may visit at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel", 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Wednesday, June 1st from 7 - 9 P.M. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, June 2nd at 11:00 A.M. In memory of Eddy, donations may be made to The Library at Bellwood Public School (cheques payable to the Durham District School Board).

Suddenly, on Thursday, May 26, 2005 at his home in Toronto, at age 61. Don Stewart, loved son of Betty Barnett of Blackstock and predeceased by his father Donald Stewart (1944) and his stepfather Harold Barnett (1992). Dear brother of Judy and her husband Gene Martin of Port Perry. Uncle of Kevin Martin. Private arrangements were entrusted to the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171). Interment Cartwright Union Cemetery, Blackstock. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.

TAYLOR, Laverne Uelma
In her 94th year. Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Thursday May 26th 2005. Beloved wife of the late Wesley Taylor. Loving mother of Marie & her husband Don Real, Uelma Phillips, June & her husband Ralph Davey, Barbara & her husband Gordon Millson, Gerry & his wife Barbara, Roslyn & her husband Ron King, Janice Cornish, Duane & his wife Jeanette, Dan & his wife Judy. Survived by her daughter-in-law Kathleen Taylor. Predeceased by her son Allyn & her daughter Marlene & her husband John King also by her son-in-law Louis Philips & daughter Flora & grandson Brock Real. She will be sadly missed by her 31 grandchildren & 39 great grandchildren. Visitation will take place at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, 2-4 & 7-9 pm Friday May 27th 2005. Fuenral Service will be held in our Chapel Saturday May 28th at 1 pm. Interment Bethesda Cemetery. Donations may be made in Laverne's memory to Tyrone United Church.

GOLDSBOROUGH, Alison Mary Scott
We celebrate the life of Alison Goldsborough, a spirit who touched many. The beloved wife of Robin and mother to Susan, Penny, Elizabeth, Michael and Jessica, Alison passed away on May 25, 2005 at her home with the love of those she cared for all around. Special thanks to the community of Bowmanville and all the wonderful friends, neighbours and support workers whose love shone through in their many thoughtful contributions to Alison's care. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 11 Temperance Street in Bowmanville on Friday, May 27 at 12 noon. No flowers at Alison's request. HAW, Norman Duncan
It is with sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Norman at his home on Wednesday May 25, 2005 in his 54th year. Norman, dear brother of Francis and his wife Joyce, and Rhonda and her husband Tom Demille. Loving uncle of Donna Haw, Ronald Haw, and Jay Demille. Dear son of the late Ronald and Gwendolyn Haw. KARAS, Mary (nee Korchynski
Peacefully after a lengthy illness on Wednesday May 25, 2005 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 76. Mary, beloved mother of Diane, JoAnne (Steve), Cathy (Frank), and Chris (Diana). Loved grandmother of Robert (Sharon), Courtney, and Shannon, and great grandmother of Jack. Dear sister of Mike (Liz), Stephanie (Ed), Irene (Dennis), and John (Sheila). Mary was a very proud member of the Daughters of Isabella and will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all her loved family and many dear friends. Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church (Lviv and Albert) on Saturday May 28th at 10:30am. Friends are invited to visit at the church from 9:30am until mass time. Interment St. Wolodymyr and St Olha Ukrainian Cemetery, Courtice. TAYLOR, Norman Edward
October 29, 1930 - May 25, 2005
Following a hard fought battle with lung cancer, Norm died peacefully at Oilfields General Hospital in Black Diamond, Alberta on Wednesday morning. A lifelong resident of Toronto, Norm was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 30 for 50years. Beloved husband of Jacqueline, loving father of Tom (Georgette) of Okotoks, Alberta, Norm (Mary) of Oshawa, Ontario, and Matt (Debra) of Toronto, Ontario. Loving Grandpa of Brandy (Aaron), Lisa, Lacey (Chris), Beth, Julie and Joe. Great-Grandpa of Nathan, Rachel, Tory and Meadow. Memorial Service 11 a.m. Thursday June 2, 2005 at Northminster United Church, 676 Simcoe St. N. in Oshawa (corner of Simcoe and Rossland) 905-725-4133. Donations to the Cancer Society in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.

Loving mother of Lavern Thompson and his wife Shirley, and Christine (predeceased). Dear mother- in-law of Chuck Ibbitson. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Benjamin Thompson, Candice Ibbitson, Josh Ibbitson and Casey Ibbitson and great-grandchild Mason. Peacefully after a lengthy illness at her home in Bowmanville on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, in her 82nd year. Dear wife of Phil Williams and the late Lorne Johnson. Loving mother of Glenda and her husband Raymond of Norwood and Gary of Toronto. Dear Grandma of Krista, Mark, and Jennie. Wilda is survived by her twin brother Walter (Kit) and her sister Dorothy (Ralph), and predeceased by her sister Doreen. She will be sadly missed by her sister-in-law Doris, her nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Wilda's family would like to extend a special thank-you to Janet and all the staff of the Comfortable Alternative for Seniors for their wonderful care and compassion. After a lengthy illness, on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at the Rouge Valley Health Centre in Scarborough, at age 84. Greta (nee Harding), beloved wife of the late Ron Makepeace of Scarborough. Loving mother of Eileen Parkman and her husband Rick Frankland of Haliburton, Barbara and her husband Ted Jackson of Scarborough, and Larry Makepeace of Scarborough. Loved grandmother of Ed Jackson and his wife Ruth Dwyre of Alliston, Ronnie Jackson of Scarborough, and Tammy Jackson of Scarborough. Predeceased by her brothers Everett, Cliff and Harold Harding and her sisters Dot Winslate and Ruth Harding. The family of Greta Makepeace will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME E, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Friday, May 27th from 10-11 a.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
