BRETHOUR, Orvan Lloyd
Passed away peacefully to be with his Lord, on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2005 at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, in his 81st year. Orvan, beloved husband and friend of Doreen nee Lapp. Dear father of Wayne (Lynn), Kimberly Caster (Larry), Sharee Howard (Pat), Dale (Carolyn). Loving grandfather of Catharine, Leslie, Kris, Michael, Andrew, Rosie and Claire. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 6th at 2:00 p.m. from the Trinity United Church, Uxbridge. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity United Church, Uxbridge Cottage Hospital, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.

HURREN, George Wesley
(Served overseas in Canadian Army; Royal Canadian Ordnance Corps; December 16, 1941 - January 24, 1946, Retired 50+ year member of Millwright and Carpenter Local 2309, Member of Carriage Country Baptist Church)
At Lakeridge Health-Whitby on Tuesday May 3, 2005, in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Marie for 53 years. Loving father of Paul Hurren and Gary Parrott and remembered by the Parrott Family. Dear brother of Leonard and his wife Bertha Hurren and brother-in-law of Elva Hurren and Ted Hann. Predeceased by his parents Wesley and Florence, brothers Frederick and Pascoe, sisters Myrtle Smallwood, Ruth Darke, Anna Smallwood and Nora Hurren. Relatives and friends may call at McINTOSH- ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King Street East, Oshawa(905-433-5558) on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Friday May 6, 2005 at 11 a.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery. LYON, Evelyen Marie
After a very courageous and determined battle with Cancer, at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Tuesday May 3, 2005. Evelyen Lyon (nee Knapp) in her 70th year. Beloved and dedicated wife of Maurice Lyon for 53 years. Loving and devoted mother of Garry Lyon and his wife Kery-Ann, Jayne Hill and her husband Ian and Sally Noordman and her husband Paul. A very special and caring Nana and Grandma to April (Joey), Byron, Corey, Bobby, Tammy, Jessica and the late Bradley and Great Grandma to Kyle. She will be sadly missed by her sister Eva Brown and her husband Gus and her brothers Bob Knapp and his wife Carol and Howard Knapp and his wife Linda Weir (Doug). Ruby. Beloved husband of the late Gladys Gibb for 40 years. Loving father of Alison Gibb of Oshawa. Also survived by sisters Elizabeth Benzie of Lumsden, Scotland, Helen Gordon of Corby, England, brother Donald McKnight of Huntly, Scotland as well as many nieces, nephews & cousins in Scotland. Predeceased by his 5 sisters & 6 brothers. Resting at THE ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King St. E. Oshawa with complete funeral service in the chapel on Friday May 6th at 3:00p.m. Cremation Mount Lawn Crematorium. Born in Toronto and longtime resident of Oshawa, John Campbell passed away on Sunday May 1st, 2005 in his 67th year. Leaving behind his wife Carrol, his daughter Kim Sider, son Tim Campbell and his wife Laurie, step daughter Carolyn Hughes and her husband Bruce. He is predeceased by his son David. Loving Grandpa John of Bethany, Kirk, Curtis, Michael and Julia. Dear brother of Bev and Ian and predeceased by his sister Fran and his brother Glen. John will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews and many friends. Passed away quietly in her sleep at Lakeridge Health, Whitby on Sunday, May 1st, 2005. Dearly loved wife of Norman. Much loved mother of Beth and Patti, Pat and Steve, Mike, Tom, and Marg and John. Cherished grandmother of Andrea, Aaron, Craig, Ryan, Tegan, Jaclyn, Sarah, David and Emily. Fondly remembered by her many close friends and extended family. A Memorial Service will be held at Brooklin United Church (Princess/Cassels Sts.), Brooklin on Friday, May6th, at 2 p.m. A heartfelt thanks to the medical staff of Lakeridge Whitby 3rd and 4th Floors for all their care.
