Age 65 years.
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Whitby on Monday, October 16th, 2006.
Dear father of Angela Daigle and Rick & Sheley Davis.
Loving grandfather of Ashley & Harry Acker.
Dear brother of Marguerite Toole (late husband Murray), James Acker (wife Diane), Frelan Acker (wife Lillian), Joan Gillis (late husband Edwin), Elena Dreger (husband Leslie), Muriel Sams, Marlene Simard (husband Benoit) and the late Leo Acker. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held 4 pm Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006 at COLLEGE PARK SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, Oshawa. Memorial Donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation.

At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Monday, October 16, 2006, in his 88th year.
Joe, beloved husband of Stella Bodnar of Newcastle for 51 years.
Dear close friend of Doris & Tony Araujo of Newtonville, Helina and Jurity (George) Brelik of Oshawa, Leslie Lahonyay of Newtonville, and cousin of Lida Hnayd and her son Peter of Toronto.
Visitation at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill Street S., (just north of 401 at the lights) on Tuesday, October 17, from 7-9 p.m., with prayers at 7 p.m.
Funeral Mass at ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 214 King Ave. E., Newcastle Wednesday, October 18, at 12:00 noon.
Interment St. Wolodymyr and Olha Ukrainian Cemetery. Donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated.

DAWSON, Kenneth Nelson
Passed away suddenly on Monday, October 16, 2006, in Myrtle Beach, while on vacation.
Ken Dawson in his 84th year.
Beloved husband of Ella (nee Houston).
Loving father of Randy Dawson and his wife Mary of Wiarton, and Sandra Yuhasz and her husband Phillip of Northville, Michigan.
Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren; Kelly Dawson, Nicholas Yuhasz and Michael Yuhasz.
He is predeceased by his sister Margaret Jean Goyne and her husband Earl and by his brother Gordon Dawson.
Survived by his sister-in-law Margaret Dawson of Lakefield.
A private family service will be held at a later date.

Suddenly at Peace River, Alberta, on Saturday, October 16th, 2006.
Beloved daughter of Marion & John Arthur Frood.
Dear sister of Pat & John Morgan and Kim & Jay Rayner.
Dear aunt to Jonathan, Jeffrey, Katrina and Jaden.
Beloved fiancé of Eivind Hestdalen and sadly missed by Eivind's children Brandon & Leah and Kimberly & her partner Dylan and Eivind's grandchildren Uriah, Kya and Ella. Lovingly remembered by her aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street N. Bowmanville on Thursday, October 19th, 2006 from 7-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held at COLLEGE PARK SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH, Oshawa on Friday, October 20th, 2006 at 11 am.
Interment GROVESIDE CEMETERY, Brooklin.

Beloved partner of Joy.
Dear father of Callum & Sarah Poole.
Loving son of Mary & the late Frank Poole.
Survived by his siblings Rick & Sandy, Graham & Daby and David & Coleen.
He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, family & friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Oct. 20th 2006 at 11 am in the Chapel of THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street N. Bowmanville.
Cremation has already taken place.
Memorial donations made to the Poole's children's education fund would be appreciated by the family.

PURDY, Wayne
Age 65 years.
Peacefully at Home on Monday, October 16th, 2006.
Beloved husband of Jan Purdy for 19 years.
Loving father of Daryl Purdy & his wife Loredana.
Predeceased by his daughter, Louise Purdy.
Stepfather to Catherine & her husband Jake Berhoog and Debbie & her husband Jason Coles.
Cherished 'Grumpa' of Harley, Louise, Chloe & Jacob.
Survived by his parents, Cliff & Hilda Purdy, also by his sisters Linda & Harry Baker, Jennifer & Larry Walsh and Heather Cameron.
He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street N. Bowmanville on Wednesday, October 18th, 2006 from 10-11am.
Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel at 11 am. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery.

RICHMOND, Ila Jean -
Passed away peacefully and suddenly at Rouge Valley Hospital, Ajax on Monday, October 16, 2006.
Predeceased by her loving husband of over 50 years Ernest (Bud) Richmond.
Beloved mother of Ernest and Eileen of Hubbard's Nova Scotia, Alex and fiancee, Sharon of Bolton, and Laura of Ajax.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren, Alex (Teddy) Richmond of Vancouver, B.C. and partner, Janie Lew, Bruce McCall-Richmond and Mary McCall.
Lovingly remembered by her brother, Freeman Merrick (deceased) and wife, Corrie, brother, John Merrick and his late wife, Rhoda, sister, Luella Smyth and husband Stan Sr., sister Ruth Ackney and husband John, sister Marjorie Beverley and late husband Gord, brother Ambrose Merrick and wife Betty Ann, brother, Myles Merrick and wife, Wilma, sister, Lorrane Jones and late husband, Reg.
She will be missed by her many nephews, nieces, friends and relatives.

SUDDONS, Christine (Formerly Shaughnessy)
After living with a lengthy illness, passed away peacefully at home on October 16, 2006, at the age of 52.
Loving wife of Malcolm Suddons.
Proud mother of Vicky Lee Shaughnessy and Daryl Shaughnessy.
Cherished daughter of Donald and Edna Barber, dear sister of Susan Tomaszewicz, brother-in-law Albert and nephews Tyson and Jamie.
Fondly remembered by Derek, Wesley and Michael Suddons, the Shaughnessy family and all her dear friends.
Now with her long time companion Peppi and watching over Marzy.
A special thank you to all her very close friends at Hearth Place and medical caregivers at Sunnybrook Hospital, also to Dr. Elaine Ho, the Reverend Elizabeth Hopkins, and all her palliative caregivers.
Arrangements entrusted to W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, (110 Dundas Street East, Whitby 905-668-3410).
Visitation will take place at St. John's Port Whitby Anglican Church (northeast corner of Brock St. S. and Victoria St., Whitby) on Thursday from 6-9pm.
A Funeral service will be held on Friday in the church at 11:00am, followed by a private interment.

Passed away peacefully after suffering with a long illness at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on October 15, 2006 in his 82nd year.
Beloved husband of Mary.
Dear father of Hank, Bert, Kathy Da Silva, Elly Hamilton, Peter and their spouses.
Proud grandfather of ten and great-grandfather of three.
Survived by his sister Dora in Holland. Sadly missed by his extended family locally and in Holland.
Friends will be received at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas St. E., Whitby on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. (prayers in the evening).
Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 from St. John the Evangelist Church, 903 Giffard Street, Whitby at 11 a.m.
Cremation to follow.
Interment at Resurrection Cemetery at a later date.
If desired, donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation and would be greatly appreciated.
