Mrs. Tracey Joan Spina (nee Wilson)
May 8, 1967 - March 6, 2008
Tracey's long and courageous battle is over. She passed peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital, at the age of 40. She is survived by her children Joseph, Jessica and Alyssa, for whom she fought so hard to be with as long as possible; husband Tony; parents and step-parents Wendy and Rodger Darbey, and Gordon and Judi Wilson; mother and father-in-law Apollonia and Pasquale Spina; brother-in-law Bruno and Maria Spina; and her beloved brother Colin whom she called, "Her rock" and was by her side every step of this journey. Also mourning are cousins, aunts and uncles, and numerous friends. A light has gone from our lives but will live forever in our hearts. Thanks to all her Sunnybrook doctors and a special thank-you to the staff of C2 who loved and supported her throughout her many hospital stays. Also to Kim Barrow, whose caring generosity of spirit helped our family so very much. Thanks to the VON nurses who cared for her at home and Normala from the Red Cross for her friendship and care. Family and friends will be received at the SCOTT FUNERAL HOME "Brampton Chapel," 289 Main St. N., Brampton (905-451-1100) on Sunday and Monday from 3 - 5 & 7 - 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Marguerite d'Youville Roman Catholic Church, 2490 Sandalwood Parkway East (at Torbram Road), Brampton on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. ROSSMAN, Alec - Peacefully after a long and happy life on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the age of 91. Loving husband of Anne for 57 years. Devoted father of Michael (Catherine), Harvey (Maida) and Robert (Janice). Cherished Zaida of Jordan, Chelsea, Alysa, Rebecca, Aaron, Talia and Naomi. Predeceased by his parents Louis and Esther and brothers; Ben, Jack and Dave. Funeral service to take place on Monday, March 10, 2008 in the chapel of PATRICK J. DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL (39 Court St., St. Catharines 905-685-6584) at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at B'nai Israel cemetery (Bunting Rd.). The family will be sitting Shiva at the house (41 Tennessee Ave. Port Colborne) with evening services at 7:30 pm Monday to Thursday. Memorial donations to Cystic Fibrosis Niagara Chapter (7051 Dolphin St. Niagara Falls, ON L2E 6Y3) would be appreciated by the family.
Mr. Sidney Robert Spencer
February 27, 1924 - March 5, 2008
SPENCER, Sidney Robert - 84, Windsor Junction, passed peacefully to his rest on March 5, 2008, in his home, with his immediate family at his side. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy Watson, Bedford; brother, Cecil and his wife Alice Joyce, Windsor Junction; 12 nieces and nephews and their families. He was predeceased by parents, John and Elsie (Crouse) Spencer, and sister, Annie Blois. He worked for CNR for 43 years, retiring as the Rockingham Station agent. Throughout his life, he was an avid world traveler and later in life he spent many winters in New Zealand and Australia. He was active as a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Philae Shriners, and in December of 2007 he received his 50 year pin. He was also a member of the Windsor Junction Historical Society and the Fall River Friendly Group - Senior Citizens. He will always be remembered for his active role in family picnics and outings. Much thanks is expressed to Dr. Brian Ashton and wonderful neighbours, Bussie Grimes and Eric Adams for their constant and reliable help and concern. Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., and a funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., both in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville, with Rev. Valerie Kingsbury officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill cemetery , Lower Sackville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Society Canada, Maritime Region, or a charity of one's choice.

(nee Davis) 76 years, peacefully, on March 8, 2008 after a short battle with cancer. Loving mother of Sharon and Dennis Sylvestre; Deborah Peel and Drew Allman; Rebecca and Robert McClellan; Grant and Heather Peel. Daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie Davis (nee Horrocks). Dear 'Gram' of Stephanie and Kent Strachan, Bridget and Scott Hauser, Chastity and John Mark Jurak, Denise Sylvestre and Kerry Morrison; Harmony Lake; Scott Peel, Christopher Peel. Great-grandmother to Nathan, Ella, and Matthew. Dear sister to Lillian and the late Herb Ernest and the late Rocky, Walter, Lorne, and Richard. Special sister-in-law to Helen Davis and Loretta Davis and will be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Gertie, Jackie, Nancy, Tom, Carrie, Theresa ,Angie and all the staff at Extendicare Tecumseh. At age 87, on March 8, 2010 in Palliative Care at the Scarborough General Hospital with her loving daughter by her side. Doris, whose family meant all to her, will be forever missed by her daughter Angela and son-in-law Ed Snikkar. Predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Doug, and her beloved daughter Gloria Deagle. Now they are re-united once again. A private family service has already taken place. Special thanks to Dr. Boutros and the caring staff on the 6th floor Palliative Care Unit of The Scarborough General Hospital. SMALLMAN, Peter Lawrence 66 years. died suddenly on March 6, 2008 at Windsor, Ontario. Beloved husband of the late Ann (nee Campbell) (2004). Loving father of Kimber Smallman and her husband Bill Bodfield of St. Catherines, Debra Seguin and her husband Wayne of Amherstburg, Krista Del Gatto and her husband Mike of LaSalle. Dear son of his late parents: Sheila (nee Cadden) and Lawrence Monk. Dear grandfather of Kevin, Jackie, Kennedy, Megan, Sydney, Katelyn and Campbell. Mr. Smallman was a member of the R.C.L. Branch #578 and was active in a number of Dart Leagues around the city and was an avid cook. HOWARD, Dr. Fred C - Promoted to his heavenly home on Tuesday, March 9 at Queens Village, London in his 93rd year. Predeceased by his wife Beatrice (1996). Survived by his son Don (Dawn), his grandchildren Carolyn (Paul) Mishchenko, Colleen (Jonathan) Pulitano, and David (Sandi) Howard. Also survived by 5 great grandchildren, Olivia, Machlan, Joel, Lylah, and Sophia. Predeceased by siblings Cecil, Dorothy (Eedy), Margaret (Kolpin), and Irene. Survived by Melvin, Oscar, Pat (Briggs), and Betty (Doucet). Pastor Howard was founder of Knollwood Baptist Church where he pastored for 43 years. He also founded the Forest City Baptist Church in London. A memorial service celebrating his life and ministry will be held on Sunday, March 28 at 3:00 p.m. in the Stoney Creek Baptist Church, 2225 Highbury Avenue, London. Beloved wife of the late Leondios "Louis" Tschilas. Loving mother of Mike Tsichlas (Gail) of Vancouver, Mano Tsichlas (Catherine) of Belleville, and Mary Kirk (Len) of Belleville. Loved by her grandchildren Christopher, Lee, Dylan, Sophi, Tom and great grandchildren Jared and Mitchell.
