ARBOUR, Edward (Ted)
Peacefully at home with his loving family at his side. He was the loving husband and soul mate of 39 years to Beryl. Ed is predeceased by his father, mother and brother Albert. He will be sadly missed by his children Kelly (Mark), Charlene (Chris), and Darren (Lori). He also was the bestest papa to Kristie, Mathew, Joshua, Stephanie, Austin and Gavin. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers with whom he worked with for many years at Allied Systems formerly Roadway Transport and his new friends at C.P. Systems. Ed is survived by his big brother Joey. BAILEY, William Thomas (Bill)
Passed away in his 82nd year at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Sunday, December 31, 2006, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Adored husband and best friend of Violet for 68 years. Idolized dad of John, Debbie, and Linda (Mike) Cummins. Much loved granddad of Kirk (Debbie) Gilliland, Brent Gilliland, Jessica (Chris) Vanacker, Kelly Bailey, and Jordy Bailey. Special great-granddad to Taylor and Savanna Vanacker, Nate Gilliland, and Elisha Burke. Much loved mother of Paul and his wife Gladys of Brooklin, Carmen, Javier, both of Oshawa, and Roberto and his wife Maritza of Miami. Grandmother of Pilar, Paul Jr., Javier, Eduardo, Roberto, Gonzalo, Jose, Daniel and Maria Ines, and great-grandmother of Lucas, Carlos, Miranda and Roberto. Survived by her sisters Rosario and Teresa. Resting at MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN, 79 Baldwin Street, Brooklin Village, Whitby from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, Brooklin, Wednesday morning January 3rd, at 11:00 a.m. Flowers gratefully declined, memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family. JOHNSTON, James Bain
On December 30th, 2006, Jim passed away quietly at the age of 88. He is survived by his beloved wife Hilda and his sons David and Gordon. He will be missed by his grandsons Spencer and David, daughters-in-law Mary and Charlene and his older brother Andrew. A Memorial Service will be held at St. George's Historical Church, 60 Randall Drive, Ajax at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 5th. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Rouge Valley (Ajax and Pickering) Emergency Department and the Ajax First Responders for all of their help and support. Age 74, went to be with his Lord on December 30, 2006. Loving husband of 52 years of Edith (nee Crawford). Wonderful dad to Laurie and Carron. Proud grandpa of Joshua and Caleb Manning. Born on Cockburn Island, the son of the late Edward and the late Katherine (Flood) McLeod. Dearest brother to Mary (Len) Hopkins and Ellen (Norm) Rowley. Worked in heavy construction for over 50 years with Walters SCI, Strait Crossing Inc., Eastern Construction, Ellis-Don, Pigott, Lenford, C.A. Pitts, Varamae, Begg & Daigle and Soules Construction. Was construction manager for the Algoma Steel in addition, Confederation Bridge and the Skydome (Roger's Centre). Project superintendent of the Burlington Skyway II. Fondly remembered by many relatives, friends and colleagues. A remarkable man passed away Saturday, December 30th, 2006, with his family at his side. Loving and devoted husband, "Right Hand Man", and best friend for 62 years of the late Joan Marion McComb (nee Kelly). Much loved and respected DAD of Barbara Leal and Ted McComb Jr. Deeply admired and appreciated father-in-law of Merrill McComb and Bob Leal (deceased). Cherished Poppi of Kathy Leal, Greg Leal and his wife Denise, and Justin McComb. Adoring Great Poppi to Avery, Keegan, Cameron, and Cole Leal. Ted is predeceased by his parents Laura and Howard "Nibs" McComb. Brother of Glad Williams. Brother-in-law of Catherine (Kitty) Harding and Ethel Kelly. Loving mother of John Steer and Margaret Steer. Mina will also be missed by her nieces and nephews. It is with great sadness the family announces Bob's passing on Friday, December 29. Loving husband of Sue for 42 years. Proud and loving father of Janet (Mark) Palmer and Craig (Tina) Cameron. Adoring grandfather of Nicole, James, Kyle, Bethany, Casidhe and Noah Palmer and Hailey, Clayton and Colton Cameron. Brother of Manson (Lorna) Cameron, Joan Eamer, Betty (Garnet) Sauve, Heather Dillon (Gary Granger), Laura (Bill) Young, Brian (Brenda) Cameron. Predeceased by George (Doreen) Cameron, Doug (surviving wife Anna) Cameron, Carol Raderford and by his parents Hugh and Mae Cameron. Also survived by his extended family and many nieces and nephews. Special friend to sister and brother-in-law Jane and Bob Wilson and Eunice and Jim McGee. Bob was an active member of IOF Branch Motor City and Lakeridge Health Auxiliary. A special person with a smile and good word for everyone - he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
