WRIGHT, Eileen (nee Mahoney)
After a courageous and valiant effort at Oakville-Trafalgar Hospital, peacefully in the presence of her three sons, into the loving embrace of her dear departed husband, Bill. Eileen was a star in so many ways during her 81 years - a graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Music (A.R.C.T., Performance), she won the soprano CNE and Kiwanis competitions of 1947, went on to lead roles with the Orpheus Musical Theatre Society in Ottawa from 1948 to 1966, and performed in numerous other venues, including country-wide CBC radio broadcasts. A member of the National Arts Centre Building Committee, she was active and admired in Ottawa's arts community, an inspirational piano and vocal teacher for over 30 years, a devoted wife, a loving mother to her three boys and their wives John and Jennifer, Philip and Linda, and David and Kimberley, a beloved grandmother of Stuart, Jeremy, Katie, James, Austin, Graham, Olivia and Joshua, President of the Oakville Post Inn Village Residents' Council, and a dear friend to many. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 24th, at St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Whitby. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Willow Foundation - Post Inn Village Residents' Council would be greatly appreciated.

BRADLEY, Gordon 'Rick' B.
(Veteran W.W.II; retired Provincial Court Clerk)
After a brief illness at Lakeridge Health Corp. Oshawa, with family by his side, on Sunday, November 19, 2006. Rick, in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (nee Scott) for 45 years. Loving father of Cheryl and her husband Kevin Hewitson of St. George, Ont., Betty and her husband Larry Waltham of Oshawa. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Bradley and Melanie Hewitson, Leah Hewitson and Wes, Laurie and her husband Shane Jones, Christine Pemberton, Dwayne Pemberton and great-grandchildren Brandon, Nathan, Justin, Brodie, Cassandra and Jorilynn. Survived by brother Orval and his wife Shirley, and sisters Marjorie, Viola, Barbara and her husband Dave and predeceased by Wallace, Evelyn, Russell and Dorothy. Remembered by his brother-in- law Bob Heaslip, and sisters-in-law Mickey Bradley and Jean Bradley. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery. Donations made in memory of Rick to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family.

MEPHAM, Douglas Bruce
Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his close family and friends, after a short bout with cancer on November 19, 2006. Loving husband for 34 years of Patricia (nee: Way). Cherished father of Paul Robert and his wife Karen, and Craig Clifford. Proud Bumpa to Meghan, Ariana and Kira. Loving son of Mary Mepham and son-in-law of Doris Smith. Fondly remembered by family and friends. Doug worked for the Oshawa G.M. Car Assembly Plant for the past 10 years, and prior to that he owned his own manufacturing company, Masterpost Ltd. Remembered for his "handyman" talents and his love of family and friends. Arrangements entrusted to W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, (110 Dundas Street East, 905-668-3410) At Doug's request, there will be no funeral, but a celebration of his life will take place at a later date. In memoriam, donations to the favorite Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

ROTONDO, Armando
(Retired after 37 years with Inco in Sudbury)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband and father on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at the age of 82. Loving husband of Angela. Beloved father of Rolando (Jennifer), Gisberto, and Linda (Bill) Donovan. Dear grandfather of Emma, Laura, Aryn, Evan, Owen, Ian, Victoria and William. He is survived by his brothers Luigi and Settimio. He was the past president of the Alpini Association of Sudbury and a life long member of the Caruso Club. Armando loved gardening, making wine, soccer, playing bocce and belonging to organizations and promoting Italian culture in Sudbury. He will be deeply missed by his many, many, friends and family. The Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 24, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church (91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby). Cremation. Should family and friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

SMITH, Reta Berniece
Passed away peacefully at Versa Care Centre, Uxbridge on Sunday, November 19, 2006, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Melbourne Smith for 57 years, loving mother of Marilyn, Donna, and James. Fondly remembered by granddaughter Jenna Smith. Survived by her brother Lloyd Harrison, Gordon (Mary) Harrison and sister Verna (Frank) Leppard. She was a member of Sandford Women's Institute, the Women's Association of Sandford United Church, also a member of Uxbridge I.O.D.E., the Uxbridge Fair Board and the Auxiliary of Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. Berniece began her working career in Toronto with The Massey Harris Co., then with Uxbridge Hydro. Following 21 years of farming with her husband Melbourne, she was an employee for Sears for 20 years. Private family interment service will be held at Sandford Cemetery. A reception will be held at Uxbridge Trinity United Church (20 First Avenue) on Thursday, November 23, 2006 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. In Berniece's memory, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.

BROADBENT, Lucille (nee Allen)
Died peacefully at home in Ottawa on Saturday, November 18th, 2006 with her family at her side, age 71 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Ed. Loving mother of Paul Broadbent and Christine Pearson (Perry). Warmly cherished Grandma of Nicole and Gareth Broadbent and Bret and Caitlin Pearson. Dear sister of Rita Gauthier, Richard and Gerald Allen, the late Gilbert and the late Paul Allen. Lucille will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends and family are invited to remember Lucille through music and reflection at the Unitarian Church, 20 Cleary Avenue, Ottawa on Monday, November 27th, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. Donations in memory of Lucille may be made to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre or Campaign 2000 (to eliminate child poverty). Suddenly on November 18th, 2006 as a result of a heart attack. Beloved husband of Suzanne (nee Saulnier) and cherished father to Alicia, Bryce and Alexandria. Beloved son to Gordon Crawford (Dorothy) and predeceased by his mother Betty. Dear son-in-law to Betty and Bob Saulnier. Loving brother to Lisa (Bill) and brother-in-law to Dave and Tracey, Chris and Gail and Todd and Sandy. John will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews Kiera, Devyn, Peyton, Tyler and Jacob. Des, beloved husband of Myrtle. Loving father of Randy and his wife Mary Anne, Larry, the late Brian, and Connie and her husband the late Tim Trowsse. Proud grandfather of Kyle and Jordan Denyer, and Jason and Alexandra Trowsse. Fondly remembered by his brother Barry and his wife Joan, and by his sister- in-law Joyce. Predeceased by his brothers Don, and Brian. Cremation will take place followed by visitation at the W.C. At Lakeridge Health, Oshawa, on Saturday, November 18, 2006. Clyde Gallant at 85 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Lillian Gallant. Loving father of Drene Massiah, Tyrone Morine and the late Wanda Gallant. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren; Lise Simard, Warrendra Jones and Sheena Massiah and by his great-granddaughter Gabrielle Griffey. Dear brother of Jean Thibodeau and the late Harold Gallant. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with funeral service in the chapel on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 3p.m. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. HILL (MULDOON), Robin
Born June 10, 1964. Robin passed away unexpectedly on November 18, 2006. Robin is survived by her loving children Liam, Cassandra, and Colleen, her husband Glen, his parents Bill and Jacqui, Glen's brother Lee and wife Debbie and their children Brendan and Colin; her brother Stephen, his wife Lynda and their daughter Jessica; her Aunt Shirley (Sooke, B.C.). Predeceased by her parents Robert and Shirley Hill. Visitation will be held at COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Hwy. 2, Courtice on Thursday, November 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 24 at 11 a.m. and reception to follow at Courtice Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Hospital For Sick Children. Her family would like to thank all their family and friends for their love and support.

Beloved wife of the late Thomas Brown Kidd. Loving daughter of the late Arthur and Sarah Smalley. Loved mother of Brian (Gwynn) of Quincy, Florida; Robert (Sandra) of Callander, Ontario; Diana (Everett) of Calgary, Alberta; and William (Cheryl) of Bowmanville, Ontario. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren David, Johanna and Jason, Tegan and Rodney, Orianna, Tynan, Emma, Jacob, Annie and great-grandchildren Elle, Quinn, and Dante. Dear sister of Phyllis Oughton (deceased) and Gwen O'Brien of Arnprior, Ontario. Rested at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484). A family service has been held. PETRIE, Martha
After a long and bravely fought battle with cancer, Martha passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, November 18th, 2006. Loving wife to John Petrie for 56 years and devoted mother to Cathy Byron, Joseph Petrie and Mary Gagliano (Mark). Wonderful Grandma to Elizabeth and Mary Byron. She is survived by her sisters Cleo MacMahon, Kitty Gillis, Teresa Naugle and Sally MacArthur. Martha is predeceased by her parents Neil and Katie MacDonald, twin sister Cecilia and younger sister Olive and brother John MacDonald. Thanks to all the people at Durham Access To Care, especially Mazelin Bailey and Mary Ann Hauser. Thanks also to the staff of Lakeridge Health - Oshawa and Whitby for their attentive care. A special thanks to Father Bollo for his visits and to our friend Trudy Heyink for all her support during this difficult time.
