Mrs. Betty Jean Taylor
March 5, 1936 - February 28, 2008

On Thursday, February 28, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Bill Taylor. Loving mother of Steve Carey (Doreen), Kathy Galpin, Paul Carey (Robyn) and Janet Martin (Rod). Nanny to Stephanie, Michael, Jennifer, Jason, Laura, Steven and Sara. Great-grandmother of Madison, Dalton, Taylor and Paige. Betty will be sadly missed by her brothers Bob (Rachel), Danny (Evelyn), Jack (Bonnie) and Peter, sister Judy (Dallas), nieces, nephews, family and friends. Predeceased by her sister Jill. Friends will be received at the TAYLOR FUNERAL HOME "NEWMARKET CHAPEL", 524 Davis Dr., Newmarket, 905-898-2100 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Monday. A celebration of Betty's life will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at 11 o'clock. Interment , Newmarket cemetery. For those who wish, donations to the Lung Association would be appreciated

passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on March 1, 2008 at St. Catharine's General Hospital at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Max for 60 years. Adored Mama of Ingrid and her husband Wolfgang Ordung, Max and his wife Martha, Peter , and the late Edgar. Cherished Oma of Angela and her husband Vince Ricci, and Carrie and Mark Schoemer. Great-Omama of Alyssa and Kira Ricci. A memorial service to be held at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, 905 257 8822, on Friday March 7, 2008 at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Mr. Burns McKay Ross
October 22, 1927 - March 2, 2008

ROSS, BURNS McKAY - Died in the company of his family at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital (Goderich) on March 2, 2008 after a long struggle with Alzheimers. 80 years old last October, he leaves his beloved wife of 55 years, Ruth (nee Irwin). Also leaves three children. Beth (Goderich) and her husband John Thompson. David (Edmonton), his wife Rachel, and their children Michael and Natalie. Andrew (Goderich), his wife Nancy, and their children Gordon, Alex, Mary, and Glenn. Predeceased by his son Ian (d. 2003). Survived by his sister Ruth Hanley of Auchlochan, Scotland and her husband John, and their children. Born October 22, 1927 in Woodstock. Son of Albert Ross and Bella (nee McKay). Raised on a farm, Burns never lost his love of nature and the outdoor life. This love he passed on to his children and grandchildren. B.A.Sc (Civil Engineering) from University of Toronto in 1950. Professional Engineer of Ontario (retired); Ontario Land Surveyor (retired). Founder of B.M. Ross and Associates Limited, one of the oldest employee-owned firms of consulting engineers in Ontario. Burns was a member of the Lions Club of Goderich, and a recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellowship in recognition of his service to his community. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care and concern provided by the people who made the last few years of Burns life as comfortable as possible, the staff of the Huron Adult Day Centre, the staff of Huronview, and the staff at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. Jim Hollingworth. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 8, 2008 at North Street United Church, Goderich, at 2 pm. Reception to follow. Family requests that donations in memory of Burns be made to the Goderich Adult Day Services. Donations can be made through McCallum and Palla Funeral Home, Goderich (519-524-7345). In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree.

Mr. Celso Odorico
February 5, 1934 - March 12, 2010

Celso passed away peacefully at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital on Friday March 12, 2010 at the age of 76. He is survived by his loving wife Anna of 52 years. Beloved father to Mara (Steven) Jones and Fausto (Karen). Cherished Nonno to Rudi, Lucy, Jenna and Jared. He will be dearly missed by his brother Luciano, sisters Clementina and Marina of Italy. Celso is predeceased by his brothers Clemente and Umberto. He will be missed by his numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes - 435 Davis Drive Kingston (Taylor Kidd Blvd. & Centennial Drive) on Sunday March 14, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Church 392 Palace Rd., on Monday March 15, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. Rite of committal with prayers at Resurrection Catholic cemetery in Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. For those wishing, donations may be made to the U.H.K.F. - South Eastern Ontario Cancer Clinic.

After a lengthy illness with Parkinson's Disease, at the Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Burlington, on Thursday March 11, 2010, Alex Collins age 80 years. Beloved husband of Eileen (Lacey) and the late Annie (Neil). Loving father of Joan Holmes (Jamie) and step-father of Gerry Lacey (Karen), Kevin Lacey (Elizabeth), and Graham Lacey (Karrie). Cherished grandfather of Matthew and Cody Holmes, Claire Lacey (Blair Bird), Sheila, Erin, Carson and Madison Lacey. Brother-in-law of Patricia and Kevin Madigan. Visitation at the DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home, BURLINGTON CHAPEL, 2241 New Street (at Drury Lane), 905-637-5233 on Monday March 15, 2010 from 11 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Private cremation. Survived by her sister Florence Cosburn, brother John Robertson, daughters Susan (Rod) Clarke, Carol (Brian) Gordon, Marilyn (John) Bowman. Loved by eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Peacefully at University Hospital London on Thursday, March, 11, 2010. Katherine Elizabeth "Betty" Gumb of Thorndale in her 74th year. Predeceased by loving husband and best friend James William Gumb. Dear mother of Carolyn Elizabeth and her husband Gary R. Noble of Thorndale, Steven James of Trenton, and Brian Edmund and wife Sandra Monica of Grand Bend. Dear sister to John Kenneth Maddox and his companion Judith Sadgrow of Prince George, BC, and William Robert and his wife Deanna Maddox of Thorndale. Cherished grandma to Blair and wife Rikki-Lyn, Shayne, Tera, Mark, Leandra, Maria and Luis. Great Grandmother "GG" to Abygale, Clintan, and Aleha. Fondly remember by several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Memorial Funeral Home, 1559 Fanshawe Park Road (east of Highbury) London, on Saturday, March 13 from 7 - 9 pm and Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm for visitation. Funeral service to take place on Monday, March 15, 2010 at 11 am.

Interment at Robin's Hill cemetery at a later date.

Donations to the Canadian Diabetic Association, or to the charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.

Loving mother of Nancy, Marie and Richard. Gram of 4 and Great Gram of 7. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Mable Heard and her brother Cyril Heard. A special thanks to the staff at Pat's Home Care. Marjorie will be lovingly remembered by Cindy, her family and friends. A private family Service has taken place. Interment Mount Lawn Memorial Gardens.
