COLLINS, Sandy (Alexander)
Peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2006 at Versa Care Centre, Uxbridge, with his wife, Joan by his side. Loving stepfather of Jay. Beloved son of Mollie and Gordon, predeceased by his brother, Rodrick and survived by his sister, Margaret Elizabeth. Loved and remembered by his many nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law and his large extended family of friends, neighbours and caregivers. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Versa Care Centre, Residents' Council Fund.
KITNEY, Hilary D.
Of Carpinteria, California, daughter of Ex-Police Chief Bernard R. Kitney and Doreen Kitney of Bowmanville, (now deceased), passed away in Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, on November 3rd, 2006, of liver failure, at 52 years of age. Hilary was born in Toronto, raised in Bowmanville, and lived for a time in Regina, and Calgary, before moving south to live the 'California Dream' in 1984. She is survived by her sisters, Bridgette, of Calgary, Alberta and Theresa of Powell River, B.C, and brothers, James, of Regina, Saskatchewan and Bernard, of Barrie. Donations may be made to the Liver Foundation. Her ashes will be spread by private plane over the Ocean off Santa Barbara, California, which she so loved.
SAWYER Cyril John
Suddenly, at Banner Baywood Medical Center in Mesa, Arizona, on Friday, November 3, 2006. Cyril John Sawyer of Gold Canyon, Arizona, passed away in his 63rd year, after a long courageous battle against cancer, which it looked like he had beaten with prayers and medical attention. Beloved son of Jacqueline V. Sawyer and the late Cyril Sawyer. Dear father of Sherry, Tammy and Cyril Sawyer Jr. and wife, Alicia and five grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by his brother Donald and his wife Deborah and their family, Kelli and Jim, Kristi, Shawn and Pam, and Jami-Leigh, of Oshawa, and adopted sister Carol Ferguson and her husband, Paul of Consecon, his favourite Aunt Bev, best friend Bryan Heiman of Gold Canyon, Arizona, Alice Mackey of Indianapolis, Indiana and Kitty Kats of Oshawa. A private family service will be held with interment at St. Gregory's Catholic Church Cemetery, Oshawa. Nee Waddington, in her 86th year passed to Spirit on November the 3rd, 2006. Predeceased by her husband, Reginald. Survived by her sister, Margaret Alloway-Jefferson. Lovingly remembered by her children, Bonnie, John, David, Heather, Sharon, Shelley, Janine, Toni and their spouses. Dearly loved by her 17 Grandchildren and her 24 Great-Grandchildren. Peacefully at Strathaven Lifecare Centre, Bowmanville, on Friday, November 3, 2006 in her 95th year. Beloved mother of David and his wife, Margaret of Oshawa. Dear grandmother of John and his wife, Robin of Burlington, Ian (deceased) and his wife, Wendy of Courtice and Susan of Oshawa. Dear great-grandmother of Alexander of Burlington, and Sarah and Jack of Coutrice. Lovingly remembered as "Auntie Bunt" to her nieces, Gayle Spear and Barbara Mocarski of Toronto.
