Mrs. Pearl Lafern Taylor
June 25, 1918 - February 25, 2008

Mrs. Pearl Taylor, a resident of Chatham passed away Monday, February 25, 2008 at the CKHA Public General Campus in her 90th year. Born in Gobles, Oxford County to the late Sarah (Leppard) and William Raycraft. Wife of the late John Henry Atfield and Russell Taylor. Mother of the late June Bechard, the late Joan Vyvey, Marna Lethbridge, the late Marion Quick, Bonnie Newton and Brenda Fordham. Gramma T., will be forever remembered by all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Also survived by sister Audrey. Predeceased by brothers Ken, Albert, Gord, Wilfred and sisters Jessie and Edna. Pearl was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was a devout believer and a faithful prayer warrior. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, February 27 at the Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Ave. (519-352-2390) from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, February 28 at 1:00 pm at Evangel Community Church (76 Sandys St.). Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the Lung Association.

Mr. Walter "Canadian Tex" Rogerson
June 24, 1942 - February 23, 2008

On February 23, 2008, at the Henderson Hospital, in his 66th year.

Survived by his sons, Kevin (Carolanne) and Walter, 9 grandchildren, and his sister Maura. He will also be missed by his best friend Malcolm.

Visitation will be held at L.G. WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 151 Ottawa Street North (905-544-1147) on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, February 27 at 11 a.m.

Cremation to follow.

The family wishes to thank all the doctors and nurses involved with his care.

Mr. Lulu Tucker
May 27, 1910 - February 24, 2008

TUCKER, Lulu Alegra at the Hastings Manor Nursing Home on Sunday, February 24, 2008 in her 98th year. Daughter of the late Robert and Maggie Mitchell. Beloved wife of George Tucker. Loving mother of Pauline Ahluwalia and her husband Surjeet of Toronto. Predeased by her 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Family and friends may call at the BURKE FUNERAL HOME (613 968-6968) 150 Church St., Belleville on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. (Visitation prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.) Interment Belleville cemetery. Memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Mr. Orie William Donald Thompson
August 17, 1958 - February 22, 2008

passed away suddenly on February 22, 2008 at his residence in Kingston. He is lovingly survived by his wife Janice of 12 years. Beloved brother to Marianne, Martha, Meribeth, Melody, Tom, David and Bob. Cherished son of Marian Thompson of London, Ontario. Beloved son-in-law to Auldin and Wilna Whan. Brother-in-law to Barry and Deborah Whan. He will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Homes - Township Chapel 435 Davis Drive (Taylor Kidd Blvd. & Centennial Drive) on Tuesday February 26, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. A celebration of Orie's Life will take place at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Cremation has taken place. For those wishing, donations may be made to the Kingston Humane Society

June 12, 1929 - March 10, 2010

With deep sadness, we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, nana and great-nan, on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. We invite all who knew and loved her to come and celebrate her life with us on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at McDougall & Brown Funeral Home, 2900 Kingston Road (east of St. Clair Ave. E.) 416-267-4656 from 2-4 p.m. Service to follow at 4 p.m. in the Chapel. If desired, donations may be made to the Salvation Army-Youth Branch in her honour. A heart-felt thank you to the wonderful and caring staff at Scarborough General Hospital.

Mrs. Jeannette Robertson (nee Gignac)
June 18, 1917 - February 23, 2008

Peacefully, at the Georgian Manor, Penetanguishene with her family by her side on Saturday February 23rd, 2008 in her 91st year. Beloved wife of the late William (Robbie) Robertson. Loving mother of Yvonne (Michael) Garraway and Linda (Dave Knapp) Jamieson. Cherished granny of Jeffrey Garraway and Timothy (Melissa) Garraway and great granny of Jordan, Justin and Liam. Dear sister of Adela Oakley, Tom (Elaine) Gignac, Raymond (B ) Gignac and predeceased by Cl o, Martial and Gerard.
Friends will be received at the Penetangyuishene Funeral Home, 155 Main Street, Penetanguishene on Monday February 23rd from 9 am until 10:45 am then to St. Ann's Church, Penetanguishene for a funeral mass at 11 am. Spring interment St. Ann's cemetery , Penetanguishene. Memorial donations to the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre or to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.

Mrs. Doris Irene Dixon (nee Robins)
January 15, 1915 - March 9, 2010

passed away at McCormick Home with her sons present, on Tuesday March 9, 2010 in her 96th year. Loving wife of the late Robert Dixon (2004). Survived by sons Richard (Barbara) and Kenneth (Margaret), Grandchildren Rebecca (Ron Chapman), Christina (Robert Taylor), Roberta Dixon, Paul (Erin) Dixon, Diana (Chris Walsh), and David (Kaitlyn) Dixon, Great grandchildren Ronald and Heather Chapman, Amber, Meagan, Andrew Taylor and Owen Dixon. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents Elizabeth and George Robins, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street (at Wavell) on Monday March 22, 2010 at 1 p.m. where friends and family will be received from 12 - 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment to follow.

The Family would like to thank the nurses and staff on Memory Lane at the McCormick Home for all their love and devotion to our Mom. Memorial donations may be sent in care of Memory Lane at McCormick Home, 2022 Kains Road, London, ON N6K 0A8. Arrangements entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home.
