At the Centenary Health Centre on Friday, December 19, 2003. Beloved wife of Joseph. Treasured mother of David and his wife Teresa, John, Annamarie and her husband Richard, and Rose-Marie, Cherished grandmother of Mandi, Marci, Damien, John Joseph "JJ", Kiah, Jonah and Jacob. Special pal of Zack and Sasha. Funeral Mass at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 1148 Finch Avenue, Pickering on Tuesday, December 23, 2003 at 10:00 a.m.

PINTO, Dr. E. Joe, Ph.D.
Suddenly, after a lengthy illness, on Friday, December 19, 2003 in his 83rd year. Dear husband of Joan. Loving father of Christopher and his wife Kathleen, Gloria and her husband Dan Nazar and John. Cherished grandfather of Sheila, Jeffrey, Daniel, Marietta and James; Danielle and Denise Nazar. Brother of the late Marshall Pinto. Dr. Joe Pinto gave a lifetime of service to Rotary International, dedicated to helping support relief projects around the world through Rotary and many other organizations. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL SERVICE "Thornton Chapel", 847 King St. West, Oshawa (905-721-1234), for visitation on Sunday, December 21, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday, December 22, from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11 a.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, to honour Joe's lifetime of service, donations made to Rotary International would be appreciated.

STEELE, Byron Roy
Peacefully, at Lakeridge Health, Bowmanville, on Friday, December 19, 2003, Byron Roy Steele, in his 85th year. Beloved husband of Ivy Steele for 61 years. Loving father of Donald and his companion Kate, Margaret and her husband Frank Both, Janice and her husband John Reynolds. Cherished "Grampa" of Scott, David, Paul and Carole. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Funeral Service will be held at TRINITY UNITED CHURCH, Bowmanville, 11 a.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Cancer Society.

WEHRENS, Henri (Harry) Johannes
At Lakeridge Health Whitby on Friday, December 19, 2003, Henri Wehrens, in his 72nd year. Father of Joan, Ingrid, and the late Eric Wehrens. Also survived by a sister and nephews in Holland. A private service will be held at Thornton Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME.

Will be sadly missed by grandson Bret and granddaughter Jessica, loving canine companion Leonard. Fondly remembered by Mainwen Edwards and family; Richard Stevens and family and relatives overseas. Dear sister of Evelyn Huether of Toronto. Loving grandmother of Dan Frappier (Vicki) and Janetville and dearest great-grandmother of Kenny, Joey, and Jonathan. Much loved Grandpa of Zoe. Predeceased by his sister Iva. Fondly remembered by brother and sisters-in-law as well as many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN Ltd., 79 Baldwin Street, Brooklin Village, from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, then to Brooklin United Church (Princess and Cassels Sts.) where visitation will continue from 12:00 noon with a celebration of Grant's life at 1:00 o'clock, Monday. Interment to follow at GROVESIDE Cemetery, Brooklin. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or St. John's Anglican Church, Whitby would be appreciated by the family.

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2003, at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Betty and dear father of Lynn (Brian) Robertson. Caring grandfather of Kelly. John is survived by his sisters Betty Wilkins, Helen Fairley and brothers Herb (Shirley) and Art (Doris). John was involved for 40 plus years with the Barber Shop Society. Cremation. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickering Village United Church (300 Church St. N., Ajax).
