DELVE Alice Isabell (nee James)
Peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Corp. Bowmanville, with her nieces at her side, on Tuesday, December 16, 2003. Born on March 13, 1909 to Olive and Harry James. Raised in East Whitby on a farm east of Winfield Farms. Educated at Conlin Public School and Brooklin High School. Moved to Toronto as a young mother to support her son Bobby and herself. Employed by Union Carbide until her retirement. At retirement she moved to her home in Oshawa until poor health then moved to Westshore Retirement Villa Port Perry and then to ThorntonView Nursing Home. Alice is predeceased by her loving son Robert 'Bobby' Delve (1949), her parents Olive and Harry James, her brother George and his wife Mary, Norman and his wife Grace, John and her niece Shirley Floyd. Alice is survived by her sister-in-law Carolyn James, her nieces and nephews, Bruce James, Jesse James (William), Jim James, Carol Norris, Sally Richardson, Keith James, Linda Westlake, Tom James and Robert James, her 24 great-nieces and nephews and 23 great-great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends were received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A service officiated by Rev. Susanne Abbuhl, will be held in the chapel on Friday, December 19, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Oshawa Union Cemetery. Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, December 16, 2003, Ilse (nee Kruger) at 85 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Horst Jendretzke. Ilse will be sadly missed by her Goddaughter Barbara Kavanagh and her family, Ted and Linda Marshall and family, Udah and Willie, Agnes and Otto, Ilse (of Cobourg) and her many other friends and neighbours who have shown so much love and support over the years. Ilse treasured every moment with them. Special thank you to Debbie McGunnigle at the T.D. Bank for all of her services over the past three years. Special thanks to the nurses on the 4th floor at Lakeridge Health, Oshawa for their wonderful care and support through this difficult time. Ilse enjoyed her many years of giving her time to the Salvation Army.
