STONE, Larry Roger "Papa George"
(Employee of A.G. Simpson Company Ltd.).
Suddenly, at home, on Wednesday, December 10th, 2003, at the age of 47. Beloved husband of Sandra Stone for 25 years. Loving father of Larry Jr. & wife Marie and Lisa, all of Oshawa. Papa George was greatly adored by his grandchildren Austin, Anthony, Triniti, and Nyesha. Son of Oakland and the late Evelyn Stone and foster son of the late Stan and Neva Dwire. Larry will also be deeply missed by all who knew him. Family and friends may call at McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558), on Saturday, December 13th from 2 - 4 p.m. with service in our chapel at 4 p.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be gratefully appreciated.

ANDREWS, Walter
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2003, at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, at the age of 76 years. Lovingly remembered by his daughter Karen (Jim) Melnichuk. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Samantha (Scott) McConnell, Angela Wichell & great-grandson Jonathan McConnell, Jenny, Tanya, Katlin, and Andrew Stacey. Also remembered by Rhonda & Gary Stacey, Daniel and Erin Melnichuk and Steve and Lex Melnichuk. At Walter's request, a private cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Lakeridge Health Corp. Bowmanville Continuing Care would be appreciated, and may be made through the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa.

Peacefully at Whitecliffe Retirement Home, Courtice on Tuesday, December 9, 2003. Lou Buckle, in her 68th year. Loving mother of Bradley and his wife Julie, and Gordon and his wife Jane. Mother-in-law of Jean-Anne Wilson. Predeceased by her sister Betty Aguanno. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Aynsley, Jacob and Noah. Dear friend of Joyce Beaven. Resting at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL Limited, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484) 4th set of lights east of Townline Road, with Complete Funeral Service in the Chapel on Monday, December 15.The family of Lou will receive friends on Sunday, December 14 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Peacefully, on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry, at age 83. Annie (nee Udell), loved wife of the late Bill Gliddon (1975). Beloved companion of Norm Caswell of Port Perry. Loving mother of Wilfred Gliddon and his wife Janice of Stratford and Lynne and her husband Al Bertrand of Haliburton. Proud grandmother of Jason Bertrand, Collette Roberge and Anna Gliddon and great-grandmother of Dalton and Cody Roberge. The family of Anne Gliddon will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905 985-2171) on Friday, December 12th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, December 13th at 11 a.m. with Father Peter Lackmanec officiating. Loved father of Michael Linington and his wife Lorna of Nestleton and Jennifer and her husband Sean Ceney of Blackstock. Proud grandfather of Cole, Travis, Braiden, Brock and Curtis. Dear brother of Donny Linington and Gayle and her husband Wade Harvey. Peacefully and surrounded by her family she gently passed to a better place on Tuesday, December 9th, 2003, Marion in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Willson Graham Marshall. Missed by her entire family including sons Gordon and wife Vickie Marshall of Oshawa, Jim and wife Brenda Marshall of Toronto, Murray and wife Darlene Marshall of Stoney Creek and daughter Lynda and husband Bill McClure of Burlington. Proud grandmother of Sandra and husband Javon, Peter, Katie, Heather, Clair, Ellen, Allison, Brock, Natalie, Suzanne, Kim and Heather and her first great-grandchild Payton. Relatives and friends will be received at Presteign-Woodbine United Church, 16 Presteign Ave., enter at 2538 St. Clair Ave. E. (west of O'Connor Dr.) from 7 - 9 p.m. Thursday and 12 noon until time of service at 1 p.m. Friday. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Donations in memory of Marion to the Lung Association of Canada, Presteign-Woodbine United Church Memorial Fund, or a Charity of choice would be appreciated. Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of Scarborough General Hospital, 4 East and to the wonderful staff at Trilogy Long-Term Care Facility, 5th floor. ST. PIERRE, Marcel Henri Joseph
On Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at Lakeridge Health, Whitby in his 84th year. Marcel was predeceased by his wife Irene. Loving father of Marcella and her husband Victor Tomiczek, Teddy and his wife Francine, Louise and her husband John Anderson, Paulette and her husband Louis Dandurand, Medeleine and her husband Arlen Dalby, Michael, Carole and her husband Paul Murree, Suzanne and her husband Mario Bolduc, and Lisa. Loved grandfather of seventeen and great-grandfather of ten. Marcel is predeceased by grandsons Paul and Matthieu, brothers Jean and Gerald, and sisters Therese and Laurette. Marcel was a WWII Veteran with the Royal Canadian Air Force and he was also a Professional Baseball Player. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Saturday, December 13th from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. with a Memorial Service in the Chapel of the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Memorial Donations made to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Loving Grandmother to Nicole, Kelly, Michael, Daniel, and Jason Grenier; Kevin and Jenna Campbell; and Great Granddaughter Alexis. Passed away at Lakeridge Health, Whitby on Monday, December 8, 2003 in her 95th year. Dearly loved wife of the late Jozef. Much loved mother of Valerie and her husband John Hotner of Brooklin. Predeceased by Edward and Maria. Grandmother of Karen and her husband John Van der Zalm of Brooklin, Marty Hotner and his wife Bonnie of Brooklin and Terry Hotner and his wife Tammy of Peterborough. Great grandmother of Colleen, Felicity, Blake, Hayden, Olivier, Kevin and Jonathan. Predeceased by brothers Julian and John. Resting at MEMORIAL CHAPEL BROOKLIN LTD., 79 Baldwin Street Brooklin Village from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Wednesday. Then to Holy Family Catholic Church 91 Ribblesdale Dr. (Anderson/Manning) Whitby, for Mass of Christian burial Thursday, December 11, 2003 at 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Whitby. If desired memorial donations to St. Leo's Catholic Church (Building Fund) would be appreciated by the family.

McILWAIN, Lloyd (Ted) Frederick
November 18, 1921 - December 8, 2003.
Ted leaves us with memories of his warmth and wit. Devoted husband to his war bride of 60 years, Joan; Loving father to his sons and their wives, Don and Carol and Evert and Bev; proud papa of Nathan, his sidekick for 13 years and a special friend to James Fox. A WWII vet, Ted served his country overseas with The Hamilton Light Infantry. Ted's generosity continues even after his passing with his wish to give the gift of himself to scientific and medical learning. Thanks to the staff of Lakeridge Oshawa ICU, who provided care and comfort in Ted's last days with us. Thanks to Pat from Paramed for providing many years of special care which allowed Ted to continue to have quality of life at home. There will be a memorial service to celebrate Ted's life in the New Year.

FREEMAN, Helen Grace (nee Matthews)
Peacefully after a brief illness at Headwaters Health Centre, Orangeville, on Sunday, December 7, 2003, in her 85th year. Helen was the loving wife and lifetime partner of Charles Rosedale Freeman. Beloved mother of Wayne of Arthur and his late wife Lorna. Sadly missed by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Dorothy Tipping, Jean Reid, and the late Winnifred Banks. Helen will also be missed by her many friends in Wilmot Creek, where she was a founding resident. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. (exit 440, just north of 401 at the lights, 1-877-987-3964) on Tuesday, Dec. 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at 1:30 p.m., followed by a gathering in the Wheelhouse at Wilmot Creek. Friends are welcome to attend the interment service in Brampton Memorial Gardens on Saturday, Dec. 13, at 11:00 a.m. If so desired, donations in Helen's memory may be made to "Sleeping Children Around the World," 28 Pinehurst Cres., Islington, ON M9A 3A5.
