Departed to be with Christ on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, aged 90, at the Briargate Nursing Home, Amherstview, with her son Paul and daughter-in-law Isabel at her side. Lois was deeply loved and admired by her late husband Walter Frost (d. 1993), her children Paul and Isabel, her grandchildren John, Sarita and Timothy, her great-grandson Dylan, and her church family and friends. The Regional Geriatric Team at St. Mary s of the Lake Hospital (Dr. Christopher Frank) and Briargate are thanked for the quality care they provided in Mom s final months. Friends will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home, Township Chapel, 435 Davis Dr., Kingston on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 3 to 5 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 2700 Kingston Road, Scarborough, ON at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26. A memorial service will take place on Friday, Feb. 29, 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 68 Rollins Dr., Belleville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, if desired, to Emmanuel Baptist Church (Belleville), the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation, or a charity of one s choice. MILLER, Mrs. Louisa Florence passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the C.K.H.A. Public General Campus in her 93rd year. Daughter of the late James and Emily Weaver. Belovd wife of the late John Miller. Mother of Eleanor Ganes of Canmore Alberta. Grandmother of Jennifer and Stephen Ganes, great grandmother of Santiara Ganes and Tristan Chenter. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother James Weaver and sister Elizabeth Russell. Louisa was a charter member St. Hilda's ACW Christ Church and a member of the Moose Lodge. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday February 26, 2008 at 1:00 pm from Christ Church Anglican (80 Wellington St West) with Rev Paul Milward officiating. Alex was the owner of St. Catharines Heating and Plumbing and was an avid golfer and wine maker in his retirement years. You were a strong and independent woman who taught us all the importance of being a compassionate and caring person.
Pat was born in Montreal, Quebec, daughter of Violet Isobel and Francis (Earl) Magee. Pat lived her life with great dignity, always putting her family, friends, and community at the top of her list. As a young adult, Pat was actively involved with Girl Guides Canada and in her later years was a member of the Sweet Adeline's. Pat was a proud government employee with a long career including: Corrections Canada, Canada Post, and as a social worker with Ontario Works. Not wanting to retire, Pat continued to work with Peel Career Assessment Services. Pat settled at Brampton's Holland Christian Homes and was an active member of her community. Lovingly remembered by her Aunt Rita Warren, sisters-in-law Marion, Elisa, and Marna. A loving Aunt to Shirley, Wendy, Donny, Laurie, Cindy, Dale, Stephanie, Valerie, Kerry, and David. Great Aunt to Ryan, Kyle, Matthew, and Amy. Pat is also remembered by extended family and her many friends. Pat is welcomed to Heaven by her Father Earl, Mother Violet, Brothers Larry, Bill, and Jim and Great niece Caitlin.
