FROST, LOIS Phebe

Departed to be with Christ on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, aged 90, at the Briargate Nursing Home, Amherstview, with her son Paul and daughter-in-law Isabel at her side. Lois was deeply loved and admired by her late husband Walter Frost (d. 1993), her children Paul and Isabel, her grandchildren John, Sarita and Timothy, her great-grandson Dylan, and her church family and friends. The Regional Geriatric Team at St. Mary s of the Lake Hospital (Dr. Christopher Frank) and Briargate are thanked for the quality care they provided in Mom s final months. Friends will be received at the Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home, Township Chapel, 435 Davis Dr., Kingston on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 3 to 5 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 2700 Kingston Road, Scarborough, ON at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 26. A memorial service will take place on Friday, Feb. 29, 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 68 Rollins Dr., Belleville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, if desired, to Emmanuel Baptist Church (Belleville), the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation, or a charity of one s choice. Lois exemplified the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit which is of great worth in God s sight. (1 Peter 3:4)

Mrs. Margaret Jean Alton
April 20, 1918 - February 22, 2008

Peacefully at Alexandra Marine & General Hospital on Friday February 22, 2008, Margaret Jean (Rae) Alton of Goderich in her 90th year. Beloved wife of Russell Alton. Predeceased by 2 brothers in infancy. Survived by several cousins. The family will receive friends at the McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, Cambria Rd. at East St. Goderich on Sunday afternoon 2-5PM. Funeral Service will be held at North Street United Church, Goderich, on Monday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock. Interment Greenhill cemetery. Donations to North Street United Church, Canadian Diabetes Association or your charity of your choice gratefully acknowledged

Died January 16, 2010 in Jamaica. Sadly missed by his wife Bernice, sons Adrian and Bert, granddaughter Aliyah, brother Fred, sisters Nethel, Metella and Althea and by his nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at St. Dunstan of Canterbury Church (56 Lawson Rd. Scarborough 416-283-1844) on Friday January 29th, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the church on Saturday January 30th at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Margaret in the Pines cemetery. Mrs. Louisa Florence Miller
June 13, 1915 - February 16, 2008

MILLER, Mrs. Louisa Florence passed away Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the C.K.H.A. Public General Campus in her 93rd year. Daughter of the late James and Emily Weaver. Belovd wife of the late John Miller. Mother of Eleanor Ganes of Canmore Alberta. Grandmother of Jennifer and Stephen Ganes, great grandmother of Santiara Ganes and Tristan Chenter. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother James Weaver and sister Elizabeth Russell. Louisa was a charter member St. Hilda's ACW Christ Church and a member of the Moose Lodge. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday February 26, 2008 at 1:00 pm from Christ Church Anglican (80 Wellington St West) with Rev Paul Milward officiating. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Avenue (519-352-2390).

Mr. William McIntosch "Mac" Moffattt
February 10, 1915 - February 20, 2008

At the Belleville General Hospital on Wednesday, February 20, ,2008 in his 94th year.

Beloved husband of the late Elizabeth May Moffatt. Loving father of William James Moffatt (Soomintra) of Trinidad and Tobago, Richard Allan Moffatt of Scotland. Loved by his grandchildren William Michael Moffatt, Christina Mary Moffatt and John Paul Moffatt and his great granddaughter Niah Moffatt. Dear brother of Howard Allan Moffatt (Ann) of Deep River, Ontario. At Mr. Moffatt's request there will be no visitation. Funeral Service will be held in the BURKE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in Belleville cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

At the N.H.S. General Site on Saturday February 23, 2008 in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Pat. Dear father of David (and friend Lorraine) and Mark (Susan). Grandfather of Brittany, Ryan, Stephen and Daniel. Brother of Willy (Ev), Shirley, Georgina (Jim), and Margaret (Budd). Alex was the owner of St. Catharines Heating and Plumbing and was an avid golfer and wine maker in his retirement years. Friends will be received at the Niagara St. Chapel of Butler Funeral Home, 424 Niagara St. (south of Scott) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy donations to Tender Wishes Niagara Falls would be appreciated by the family.

Miss June Patricia "Pat" Magee
June 22, 1940 - February 23, 2008

You were a strong and independent woman who taught us all the importance of being a compassionate and caring person.
Pat was born in Montreal, Quebec, daughter of Violet Isobel and Francis (Earl) Magee. Pat lived her life with great dignity, always putting her family, friends, and community at the top of her list. As a young adult, Pat was actively involved with Girl Guides Canada and in her later years was a member of the Sweet Adeline's. Pat was a proud government employee with a long career including: Corrections Canada, Canada Post, and as a social worker with Ontario Works. Not wanting to retire, Pat continued to work with Peel Career Assessment Services. Pat settled at Brampton's Holland Christian Homes and was an active member of her community. Lovingly remembered by her Aunt Rita Warren, sisters-in-law Marion, Elisa, and Marna. A loving Aunt to Shirley, Wendy, Donny, Laurie, Cindy, Dale, Stephanie, Valerie, Kerry, and David. Great Aunt to Ryan, Kyle, Matthew, and Amy. Pat is also remembered by extended family and her many friends. Pat is welcomed to Heaven by her Father Earl, Mother Violet, Brothers Larry, Bill, and Jim and Great niece Caitlin. Please join in celebrating Pat's life at a Memorial Service to be held in Heritage Hall at Holland Christian Homes, 7900 McLaughlin Road South, Brampton on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 11 a.m. A reception to follow in Horizon Hall at Holland Christian Homes.
