It is with deepest saddeness to announce the passing of the world's most loved grandmother and mother Irene Joyce Anger Laforge. Loving mother to Rob Laforge (Shelley) of Lindsay and Lori (Mike) Lopes of Whitby. Grandmother to 3 special children who will miss grandma forever, Keith Laforge, Justin Lopes and Olivia Lopes. Irene was predeceased by her parents Walter and Vera "Joan" Clipsham Anger. Irene has a surviving brother Chris (Betty) Anger of Calgary, with many nephews in Calgary. Irene was predeceased by her baby brother Keith Anger many years ago but is survived by sister in law Mary Anger, and their children Randy and Aleasha. Irene was a great friend to many throughout her life and has enjoyed various entrepreneuial enterprises. Irene will be sadly missed by lifelong friends and family, Joan Dawes and others. Services for Irene will be held at MEMORIAL CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby, ON. on Sunday, August 30th, 2009 at 1 p.m. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Vincent passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26th, 2009 in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Joyce for 45 years. Loving father of Carolyn (Ralph), Shelley, Debbie (Dave) and Doug. Loving grandpa to James, Jenn, Jason, David, Amber, Douglas, Brendan, Sarah, Emily and Kyle. He is survived by his three sisters Dolly, Leana and Anita. It is with great sadness that the family announces George's passing in the early morning of August 26th, 2009 at Lakeridge Health hospital in Oshawa, Ontario at the age of 68. Born in SW Margaree, he was the oldest of twelve children to the late John A. MacLellan and Anne MacNeil. He was predeceased by his brother Hughie in 2007. He is survived by his loving wife Bernice MacEachern (formally of Dunvegan, Inverness, NS), his two children, Tracy (Marc Sullivan) and Brent (Paula Shields) both of Toronto, Ontario and stepdaughter Natasha. He is survived by his brothers, Ronald (Marian Beaton) of Long Point, Inverness County; John (Rita Gillis) of Halifax; Lawrence (Jesslyn Gillis) of SW Margaree; Raymond (Colleen Doyle) of Saint John, N.B.; sisters Dorean of SW Margaree; Ann (Rod MacDonald) of Shad Bay; Alice (Randy St. Onge) of Halifax; Rose of SW Margaree; Kay of Shad Bay, and Joan (Dave McIntyre) of Dartmouth. He retired after 30 years of service with the Ontario Provincial Government. George has left this life as a very dutiful and loving husband, father, brother, uncle and son. We give thanks for his peace but we mourn his passing with deep pain. George was loved and will be missed by all. Memorial Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Saturday, August 29th from 6 – 8 P.M. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church in SW Margaree, Cape Breton. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery. SAULNIER, Leroy Ernest
We announce with sadness of the sudden passing of Leroy Saulnier of Oshawa on August 26, 2009. Leroy was predeceased by his parents Alvina and Zoel Saulier and two brothers, Paul Saulnier and Victor Saulnier. He leaves behind his son Paul Saulnier, his brother Ronald Saulnier and his sister Janine McLean. He was a long time employee (37 years) of Smurfit MBI in Whitby and was a vocal advocate for the common working man through his Union.
