KALMUK, Maria
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, on Sunday, August 30, 2009 with her family at her side. Maria Kalmuk, in her 84th. year, beloved wife of the late Thomas Kalmuk. Dear mother of Olha, Myrna and her husband Carlos Garcia, John and his wife Myroslava, Zonia and her husband Alex Strynatka. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Christina, Michael and Natalie Garcia, Mark and Nikolas Kalmuk, Sarah and Stephanie Strynatka, Tanya, Mateya and Martina. Friends may call at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street, East, Oshawa (905-433-4711) on Tuesday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. with Panachya at 7:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial on Wednesday, September 2nd. at 11 a.m. at St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church(Lviv & Albert) Interment St. Wolodymyr and St. Olha Ukrainian Cemetery, Courtice. Memorial donations to the Restoration Fund of St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family. KEHOE, Pamela Joan (nee Aselstine)
Passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 62. Her final moments were spent cradled in the arms and hearts of her children. A loving mother, Pam, is survived by her daughters Dawn Bartholomew (Keith), Victoria Kehoe, Tracie Kehoe (Tim), Kristin Kehoe and Shauna Anderson. She will be dearly missed by the father of her children, Charles Kehoe, by her siblings, Valerie, Harold, Robert, by her beloved dog Bo and by her friends and family. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. A memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday September 2, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. Cremation. Memorial donations to the Humane Society or Distress Centre Durham would be appreciated.

WHEELER, Elmer
Passed away at his home on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the age of 83 years. Elmer, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (nee Simon) Wheeler. Loving father of Audrey Wheeler Brookfield and her husband James Brookfield. Dear grandfather of Darrin White and his wife Dale of Fort McMurray and the late Ronalda White. Loved great-grandfather of Nelson and Nathan White of Fort McMurray. Dear brother of Percy Wheeler and his wife Cathy of Brampton, Brendon Wheeler of Vancouver, Ramona Alexander, Vera Alexander and her husband Joe, Dianna Young, Yvonne and her husband Michael all of Newfoundland and the late Cora Carter, Bert Wheeler, Lorraine Louallo and Dora Dafabio. Sadly missed by a large circle of family and friends. Friends may pay their respects at the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division Street, Bowmanville on Friday, September 4, 2009 from 11 a.m. until time of the service. Funeral service in the MORRIS CHAPEL on Friday at 1 p.m. Cremation. Donations to St. Therese Society of the Little Flower would be gratefully appreciated. KERNOHAN, Keith Oscar

Passed away peacefully at the Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Friday, August 28, 2009 after a lengthy illness at the age of 62. Dear son of the late Andrew and Annie Kernohan. Lovingly remembered by his children Angela (Don), and Richard (Catherine) and by their mother Valerie Kernohan. Dear sister of Barb (Tom) Parish, Alex (deceased) (Sharon), and Ken (deceased) (Linda). Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Parkinson's Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

KORCZYNSKI, Maurizio (Moe) B.
Retired Teacher, Durham District School Board.
It is with profound sadness that we announce his passing at the age of 68, on Friday, August 28th, 2009 at home with his family by his side, after a brief and courageous struggle with mesothelioma. Beloved husband of Alayne (Bell) for 36 years, devoted father of Benjamin, Jacob (Mary-Beth) and Nathan. Survived by his brothers Todd (Charlotte) and Stanley (Cathy) and pre-deceased by his sister Antonietta. He was a wonderful friend and mentor to colleagues and students during his thirty years of teaching. He will be deeply missed for his playful spirit, generous heart and the differences he made through his involvement in the community. A private cremation and internment is planned. A reception to celebrate Moe's life will be held at a later date. If desired, donations to the Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund would be appreciated.

LAYNG, Roberta Eileen
1953-2009.
Passed away in her home on Friday, August 28th, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Loving mother of Brandon & Brian, beloved mother-in-law to Stephanie & Erin, cherished Nano of Colton, Shaylea, Gage & Alyssa. Those who met her, loved her & she will be greatly missed by all. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. A Memorial Service will be held in the funeral home Chapel on Saturday September 19, 2009 at 5 p.m. to celebrate Roberta's life. After a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family at home in Campbellford on Friday, August 28, 2009. Ronald in his 67th year. Beloved husband of Carole for 44 years. Dear father of Chris and Kelly, Nicole and her husband Brad Owens. Proud Grumpa of Chelsea and Kassidy. Brother of Alfreda Matthews, Robert and his wife Gladys Lougheed and Joseph and his wife Karen Lougheed. He will be truly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ronald was the Co-founder and President of the Campbellford Woodworking Club and participated in the Friends of Ferris Park and the Campbellford Seymour Heritage Association. Dear grandmother of two. Loving daughter to Ruth and Gerald Collier and sister of Bonnie, Valerie and Brenda. She will also be sadly missed by Sandy Bawks and her family, Bill and Beverley Gutsell and the extended Gutsell family, her nieces and her many friends.
