Leo passed away after a brief illness at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Leo was born in Lamaline, Newfoundland and a retired member of UA Local 46. Leo is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years Mary. He will be sadly missed by his children Ann (Gary), Patrick (Carmen), John (Sue) and predeceased by Theresa (Gord). He was a loving 'Papa' to Penny, Peter, Philip, Michael, Sarah and Lucas, and great-grandpa to Suzanne, Lowen and Peyton. A Memoral Service will in the chapel of the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Thursday September 3rd at 7pm. Visitation from 6pm until service time. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the doctors and nurses for their wonderful care and support. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario in lieu of flowers would be greatly appreciated by Leo's family.

Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Estates (Oshawa) on Monday, August 31st, 2009 in his 84th year. Fred will be greatly missed by his beloved wife Yvonne (Barrie) in their 59th year of marriage and children Barbara, Barrie (April), Rosemary (Bob), Roger (Laura), and grandchildren Aimee, Scott, Marc, Brendan, Jeremy, Ryan, Brad, Liam, Eric. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Fred was the son of the late Ernest and Edith Jose of Massassauga, Ontario (4th generation). Fred is survived by his sister Alice (Doug) Skinkle and brother Louis (Lou). He was predeceased by siblings John, Harry, Charles, William. Fred always looked so forward to Fall and being able to see his many friends at the hunting camp where he enjoyed fishing and hunting since his early teenage years. Thank you Fred/Dad for enriching all our lives! We will miss you every day and cherish the memories. Cremation has taken place.
