WILSON, Stan
A Firefighter with the City of Oshawa, for 33 years. Stan passed away on Tuesday, September 29th, 2009 at the age of 74 at Hillsdale Estates. A lover of nature and all things mechanical, he was an avid downhill skier and a member of the Oshawa Ski Club for 37 years. Stan is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Kathy (nee Keenan) and was the proud father of Dr. Wendy Wilson of Parry Sound, Michelle Wilson and her husband Robert Schnieder of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Keenan Wilson of Oshawa. The adoring Grandpa of his three princesses Quinlan, Morgan and Katrina. Stan will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends. His body has been donated to the Division of Anatomy at the University of Toronto for anatomical studies and medical research. A reception for the Celebration of Life will be held in the auditorium at HILLSDALE ESTATES, 590 Oshawa Blvd. N. on Monday, October 5th from 2 - 4 P.M. In Stan's memory, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated and can be made through OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. West (905-721-1234).

BRAZEL, (Rene) Pearl Alice Lorena (Nee: McCormick)
February 11, 1942 - September 28, 2009
Peacefully passed away on September 28, 2009 at Ajax/Pickering Rouge Valley Hospital with family by her side, at the age of 67. Beloved mother of Ella and her husband Bill Ooms, Natalie and her husband Mike Holloway, and Curtis and his wife Sherri McCann. Will be sadly missed by her adoring grand- & great-grandchildren: Tanya, Jeffrey, Jessica, Jesse, Cheryl and Chelsea. Survived by her sister Alfreda (McCormick) Jenkins. Rene will be remembered by her many more family and friends. You will forever be locked in our hearts and memories, we all love you. A Funeral Service will be held at LOW AND LOW FUNERAL HOME, 23 Main Street South Uxbridge (905) 852-3073 on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation 12:00 - 2:00 pm. Interment GROVESIDE CEMETERY, Brooklin. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation would be appreciated.

CLARKE, Cyril Raymond
Born June 24, 1934 in Witherington, England, slipped away quietly into the arms of the Lord on September 28, 2009 at Hillsdale Estates Oshawa. Predeceased by his parents and a brother. I would like to express my thanks and appreciation of the staff of Moonlight Bay for the compassionate care and kindness that was shown to Cyril during his residency at Hillsdale Estates. Cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service followed by an interment on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Road (North of Hwy 2) Whitby, Ontario (905-443-3376. If desired, a donation in Cyril's memory to Save the Children's Fund would be greatly appreciated. To my dear friend Cyril: Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. DROUIN, Louis Joseph
Peacefully at his residence on Monday, September 28th, 2009 in his 72nd year. Beloved husband of Trudy. Loving father of Irene, Claudette and Linda. Dear Grandfather of Christina, Jamie, Stephanie, Joseph and the late Matthew and Great-Grandfather of Daniel, Jale, and Danielle. He will also be missed by his brother, sisters, his nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and very close friends. A Celebration of Louis's life will be held on Tuesday, October 6th, 2009 in the evening at THE LOYAL ORDER OF MOOSE LODGE, 731 Wilson Rd. South, Oshawa. Arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King St. West (905-721-1234). If desired, memorial donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House or the Canadian Diabetes Association.

FRENDO-CUMBO, Victoria Martha (nee Grech)
On Monday, September 28, 2009, in the early morning, our dear mother was escorted by her angels to Heaven. Mum fought a courageous battle with cancer and was never alone as family stayed at her side continuously. Victoria Frendo-Cumbo (predeceased by her husband Joe in May 2006) was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Nanna, Auntie, Great-grandma and friend to all. She was a homemaker and spent a lot of time doing charity work. She always kept a caring and tender watch over her gardens and nature in general. She will be remembered for her compassion to others, her forgiving spirit, generosity and putting her family first. She enjoyed the simple things in life. She is survived by her 6 sons; John, Paul, Henry, Joe, Fred and Charles, and her 1 daughter; Olympia. Loved and respected by her caring daughters-in-law; Ruby, Winnie, Karen, Laurie and Lori. Nanna was proud and loved all her nieces and nephews and she shared a special bond with her 14 grandchildren; Johnny (Kate), Lisa (Derek), Vicky (Clark), Tanya (Terry), Adam, Bradley, Mary, Mark, Ryan (Jodine), Danny (Brittany), Katie, Julia, Nicole, and Emily. She wished for more time to spend with great-grandchildren Meghan, Caleigh and newborn Brayden (September 22, 2009). The family would like to extend great thanks for the caring and supportive staff at Bowmanville Memorial Hospital - 1st and 2nd floors, Mum's neighbors on Kingswood Dr. in Courtice and the support of Auntie Marie, Aunt Liz and Pup's kids. Resting at the COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1587 Highway #2, Courtice (905-432-8484) where the family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 29th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Therese Roman Catholic Church, 3800 Courtice Road North on Wednesday, September 30th at 11 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Whitby. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations to the Hospital for Sick Children or Memorial Hospital Foundation (Bowmanville)-Palliative Care would be appreciated.

HEBERT, Alfred 'Fred'
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Port Perry on Monday, September 28th, 2009. Fred in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Irene. Dear father Dan and his wife Monique. Grandfather of Melanie and her husband Jeff Hewson and great-grandfather of Tanner and Juniper. He will be truly missed by his extended family and friends down east. Suddenly on September 28, 2009 at Rouge Valley HC, Ajax, in his 84th year. Beloved and devoted husband of Ann Potter. Loving father of Moira Potter and the late Gary Potter. A very special and loving stepfather of Randy Cross and wife Jennifer, Oshawa and Richard Cross and wife Cathy, Bowmanville. Dear brother of Len and wife Linda in Cardiff, Wales and predeceased by brother Jesse of Carmarthen, Wales. Dear brother-in-law of Dennis Togerson and family in Denver, CO, Gordon Togerson and family of Oshawa, Veronica Loveridge and family in Calgary, Ella and Geof Kearns of Staffordshire, England. He also leaves, and will be sadly missed, by his seven grandchildren, Geoffrey, Jennifer and husband Chris, Rachel and Ryan, Richard, Tim and Lisa. Uncle of Christopher, Gareth and Sarah Potter, Andrew and Linda Potter and son Ryan, all of Wales. He will also be sadly missed by all his friends in his hometown of Carmarthen, Wales, and his many friends in Ajax. Interment of ashes will take place at a private family Memorial Service to be held on October 7, 2009 in the Chapel at the Thornton Cemetery in Oshawa. If you judge a man's success in life by his family, friends and many kind deeds, then Warren was truly the most successful of all.
