BACON, Mary Elizabeth (Lemon)
Mary passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday, January 21, 2007 at the age of 85 years. Her husband Roy, son Elwin and infant son Wayne predeceased Mary. She was the dear mother of Darla and her husband Herb Madill. Grandmother of Shelley Madill of North Bay, Roy Madill and wife Rachelle of Calgary and great-grandmother of Brandon Madill of Calgary. Mary was the dear sister of Ken (Jean) of Oshawa, William of British Columbia, John (Myrtle) of Oshawa, Shirley Bain (Harold) of Bancroft, Wilbert (Lucie) of Moncton, New Brunswick. Mary was predeceased by her brothers Charles, Doug and Melville and sisters Thelma and Jean. Mary supported many community activities and was an avid euchre player. She will be sadly missed by her many dear friends. A memorial talk will be held at the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division St., Bowmanville on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 11 a.m. with visitation from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Interment, Bowmanville Cemetery.

LAWS, Carmen
Passed away peacefully at home on January 21, 2007 at the age of 74. Loving wife of the late Robert Laws. Dear mother of Robert (Beatrice), Janet Baker (William), Sharon Mitchell (Kevin Bentham), Diane Pequegnat (John Miller) and David. Proud grandmother of Beatrice, Will, Patrick, Angela, Lesley, Robert, Lisa and Scott. Survived by her mother Carmen Orr and sister Lynn Elliott. Arrangements entrusted to W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, (905-668-3410). A service has already taken place. Interment at Thornton Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

ANDERSON, Bruce William John
(G.M. Retiree, 30 years service)
Born November 30, 1953, Bruce passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 20, 2007. Predeceased by parents Toots and David Anderson, step mother Shirley Anderson and step brother Marty Muller. Survived by his lifelong soul mate Joan Bath. Loving father of Dawn and Jennifer. Dear brother of Paul (Diane), Joe (Charlene), Janis (Paul), Ken (Donna) and Marion (Eddy). Bruce will be missed by many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be at the Canadian Corps on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Donations to the Charity of choice would be appreciated and may be made at The ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa.

CALLANAN, John (Sean)
(Retired employee of the City of Toronto - Forestry Department.)
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Saturday, January 20th, 2007 in his 79th year. Sadly missed by his beloved wife Mary and his 3 daughters Gloria (Ron), Joyce (John) and Lorraine (Roger). Dear Grandpa of 8 grandchildren and 18 great - grandchildren. Sean is survived by his brother Michael (Helen). Predeceased by his sisters Doll, Joan, Noreen and Susan. Fondly remembered by many friends and relatives. Sean was born in Cork, Ireland in 1928 and immigrated to Canada in 1949. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234 for visitation on Monday, January 29th, 2007 from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 10:00 A.M. SHEREMETA, Raymond John
It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Ray, in his seventy second year, on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Lakeridge Health in Oshawa. Ray was a lifelong resident of Oshawa and spent forty six and a half years in love with his wife Ann. His focus and joy in life was his family, being the guiding father to John and Susan, Jim and Brigitte, Ron and Martine, and the proud Papa to Gregory, Michael, Benjamin and Nicholas. Ray was the only son of the late John and Katherine Sheremeta, and brother to Elsie Kerr and Mary and Jack Rudniski. All who knew Ray are invited for visitation at ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-4711) on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral will take place in the Chapel on Wednesday, January 24 at 10 am. In celebration of Ray's life, donations may be made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Lakeridge Health Oshawa.

Served overseas with The Royal Canadian Artillery September 8, 1939 - August 8, 1945.
Retired from the CPR after 31 years of service as a Supervisor of Mechanical and Safety for Canada.
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Saturday, January 20, 2007. Beloved husband for 62 years of Molly Smith, his war bride. Dear father of Anthony and Maureen, David and Heather, Barry and Penny, and Terry and Tammy. Loving grandfather of Nicole, Rebecca, Ryan, Reed, Michael, Aynsley, Bradley, Lyndsay and great- grandfather of Allison and Grayden. Dear brother of Edward, Bernard, Paul, Charles, Margaret and the late Michael, John and Maureen. Memorial Mass will be held at ST. Suddenly, at his residence, Toronto, on Saturday, January 20th, 2007. Harry Snowden, in his 78th year. Beloved husband and dearest friend of Mary, dear father of Debbie and her husband Terry Rowland and Pat Mills, dear stepfather of Dave Kelterborn and his wife Joanne. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Heather, Shawna, Marci, Michael and his wife Leigh, Stephen and Tyler. Harry was the oldest of 10 children and following his father's death Harry was a great support to his younger siblings: Edna (Howard Hageborn), Elva (Ron Rogers), Marg (Len Goodmurphy), David (Colleen), Sandra (Bob Goodmurphy) and Jimmy (Stephanie). Fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Doreen (Ken Harper) and their son Graham and brother-in-law Ralph Carr (Joan). Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Allan and Dorothy, sisters Ruth and Mary, brother Sam and son-in-law Bill Mills. He will be sorely missed by his devoted friend Richard Pigeau and many others. After a courageous battle with cancer, on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, in Toronto, at age 48. Diane Tenaglia-Baker of Cannington, beloved wife of Bob Baker. Loving mother of Joshua Baker of Cannington. Loved sister of Sheri and her husband Scott Grandin of Georgetown. Adored daughter of Cora and the late Luciano Tenaglia of Toronto. She will be missed by her nephews Matthew and Carter Grandin and by many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family of Diane Tenaglia-Baker will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott- Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Wednesday, January 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 573 Simcoe Street, in Beaverton on Thursday, January 25th at 11 a.m. with Father Wilfried Lenius officiating. BOOTH, Jeffery Francis
Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, at Toronto General Hospital, on Friday, January 19, 2007, in his 65th year. Loving husband and best friend of Joan for 43 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters Jacquie (Mike), and Janice (Michael). Cherished Pa to Meagan, Stefanie, and Emily. He will be sadly missed by his siblings Shirley (Adrian), Gary (Jean), Diane (Winston), Paul (Jackie), Greg (Ann), Carol (John), John (Bonnie), his mother-in-law Mary, his brothers-in- law Carl (Norma), Barry (Shirley), Sheldon (Beverley), and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Susan, his parents Frank and Kathleen, his father-in-law Tom, and his brother-in-law Howie. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Bernadette's Roman Catholic Church (21 Bayly St. E.) on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Trillium Gift of Life Network would be gratefully appreciated.
