DOW, Harold Sherratt Cunningham (P. Eng.)
Passed away on January 23, 2007, at age 84, in Uxbridge, Ontario. He was predeceased by his wife Kathleen (nee Green). He is survived by his children Mary (Marvin) Atkinson of Whitby, George (Audrey) of London, Ontario, Brian (Pat) of Calgary, Alberta, and Douglas (Anne) of Melbourne, Australia. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Harold was born and raised in Nanaimo, British Columbia and served on 17th Squadron with the RAF in Burma during WW2. A memorial service will be held in Nanaimo at a later date. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

JONES, Thelma Winnifred "G.G."
(February 16, 1916 - January 23, 2007)
Peacefully, after a full and happy life, joining her beloved husband Arthur who predeceased her on March 21, 1988 and her darling great-granddaughter Victoria Hope Wilson (February 11, 1997). Cherished mother of Tom (Lena) Jones, Suzanne (the late Raoul) Derome, and Donna (John) Sheffield. Much loved grandma of Jacqueline (Ian) Mitchell, Michele (Dan) Wilson, Michael (Michele) Derome, Graeme (Kate) Sheffield, and Jason Sheffield. Adored G.G. of Rebecca, Scott, Paige, Gregory, and Erin Wilson, Connor, Jenna, and Ryan Derome, Anterra and Clayton Sheffield, and Keagan Mitchell. Favorite aunt of Paul and Victor Fernandez, and Yvonne Paul, and their families. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church (1001 Ravenscroft Road, Ajax) on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be gratefully appreciated.

MOFFATT, Ruth Christina Moffatt
Passed away peacefully with family present at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on January 23, 2007. Granddaughter of Israel Oswald Abell & Mary Ellen Halloway and Joseph Rhody & M. Logie. Daughter of Christina Rhody and William Abell. Preceded by sisters Marjorie Alexander, Vera Abell and brothers Carlton, Arthur and Leslie Abell. Survived by sister-in-law Margaret Abell. Beloved mother of daughters Linda Mae & Louise Ruth and of sons Kenneth James & William Herbert. Loving grandmother to granddaughters Tasha, Elisa, Julia and grandson Timothy. Memorial service on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 2 pm. Sanctuary of Westminster Church, 1850 Rossland Road East, Whitby.

SIMPSON, Roy
At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in his 86th year. Loving husband for 54 years of Ann of Newtonville. Dear father of Dennis (Zeynep), Mark (Barbara), Stuart (Joanne), and Paul (Tammy). Sadly missed by grandchildren Monika, Elva-Ann, Sonya, Nancy, Katherine, Desiree, Harley, Trista, MacRay, Cameron, and great- granddaughter Myah. Dear brother of Gordon and Ida. Roy will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. (just north of 401 at the lights) on Thursday, January 25, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m., with Reverend Gordon Belyea of Bowmanville Baptist Church officiating. Spring interment, Welcome Cemetery. Donations in Roy's memory to the Durham Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by his family.

Passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 22, 2007 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of the late Michael Buczkowski. Loving mother of Henry Buczkowski and Elizabeth Konkle. Lovingly remembered by her grand daughters Julie, Rachel (Marc) and Natasha. Resting at The ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East with Mass of Christian Burial in St. Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church 411 Olive Avenue on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Prayers in the chapel on Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday.

Peacefully, on Monday, January 22, 2007 at the Uxbridge Versa Care Centre. In his 89th year. Philip, beloved husband of Beryl for 61 years. Dear father of Nigel and Alan (Theresa) Dean. Loving remembered by his grandchildren Madelaine, Laura and Michael. Survived by his sister Diana and his sister-in-laws Clarice, Andrea and Deirdre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the CNIB or the Charity of your choice appreciated.

LAUREN, Phyllis Jane
Peacefully at home in Ajax in her 81st year on Monday, January 22, 2007. Phyllis was the loving wife of the late Olli Lauren. Very dear mother of Karen (Keith King) and David (Nadine). Greatly missed by her grandchildren Kelly, Laura, Travis, Sara and Alexander, and great- grandchild Coleman. Fondly remembered by JarI and John. At Phyllis' request, her cremated remains will be buried in her family plot in Quebec City.

LOTT, Richard John "Dick"
Aged 72 years.
At Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, January 22nd 2007. Beloved husband of Phyllis for 51 years. Loving father of Debbie & Don, Diane & John, Penny & Neil, Carol & Bob, Sandra & John, and step daughter Barbara. Loving grandfather to 13 grandchildren & great- grandfather to 9 great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sisters Kathy, Mary & Fran also by his brothers Bill, Gord & John. Predeceased by his brother Jimmy. He will be dearly missed by his "adopted" son Robert Laing & his wife Sherry & by his cat "Sparky". Visitation will take place at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Wednesday, January 24th 2007. Funeral Service will be held in our Chapel on Thursday, January 25th 2007 at 11 am. Interment Bethesda Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Arthritis Society or The Humane Society of Durham Region.

SAUVE, Inge Kraby
Peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2007 at the Ajax-Pickering Hospital, in her 67th year. Beloved Wife of Albert. Loving "Mor" of Susie (Todd), Derek (Yvonne), Allan, Tony, Kim and Linda. herished Grandmother of many grand and great-grandchildren. Will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Guests will be received at the MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby (just north of Hwy 2) on Tuesday, January 23rd from 2-4 & 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, January 24th at 2pm. Cremation to follow. Donations in Inge's memory may be directed to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

SPRAGGS, Beverly Ann
Passed away peacefully with family at her side at Lakeridge Health Port Perry on Monday, January 22, 2007 in her 83rd year. Beverly (nee Edwards) beloved best friend of Lloyd of Chandler, Arizona. Dear sister of Jacqueline Sawyer and her late husband Cyril Sr., Aunt of the late Cyril Sawyer of Gold Canyon, Arizona and his family. Dearly missed by Donald Sawyer and his wife Deborah and their family. Private visitation was held on Wednesday, January 24th, 2007. Cremation and a memorial mass was held at St. Joseph The Worker Parish, 1100 Mary Street North, Oshawa, ON on Friday, January 26th, 2007, followed by interment of cremated remains at St. Gregory's Catholic Cemetery, Oshawa. Donations in memory of Beverly to a Charity of your choice would be appreciated and may be made through McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558). "Aunt Bev," as she was affectionately known, will be sadly missed by all her friends and relatives.
