MYERS, Barry Elliott
Age 73 years.
Was called home peacefully on Thursday, January 25th, 2007 with his family by his side after a brief illness at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. Loving companion & dear friend of Marie Martin. Dear father of Trudy & her husband Peter Murphy, Cindy Myers, Jamie & his wife Lynne. Cherished "Grampa" of Miranda, Jonathan, Eliot & Mac. Survived by his brothers Wayne & Wilton. A special thank-you to Dr. Marcus & the amazing doctors & nurses of the Lakeridge Health Oshawa I.C.U. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville, on Sunday, January 28th 2007 at 3 pm. Memorial donations may be made to The Family Worship Centre, Courtice, Ontario.

RAUCH, Jack

Passed away peacefully at the Ajax and Pickering Hospital on Thursday, January 25, 2007, in his 73rd year. Jack Rauch, loving husband of Tish, father of John (Cathy), Debbie (Doug) and Robyn. Grandfather of Matthew, Christopher, Austin, Amanda and Aimee. Pappy of Terra and Emma. Survived by his sister Lil Haus. Jack will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews and his family and friends. Should family and friends so desire, donations to the Kidney Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

Passed away peacefully at Thorntonview Nursing Home on Thursday, January 25, 2007 in her 98th year. Predeceased by her husband Carl. Dear mother of George (predeceased), Nick (Marie) and Dr. Dan. Predeceased by her sister Vera. Loving Baba of Daria (Walter), Diana, Richard (Laura) and Edward and Great Baba to Zenia, Alexandra, Andrew, Ryan, Amanda and Aidan. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-4711) with funeral service in the Chapel on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 10 a.m. Interment Union Cemetery, Oshawa. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. Panachyda will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7 p.m. Memorial donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Peacefully with his loving family by his side, at Lakeridge Health Whitby, on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Weronika. Loving and devoted father of Helen Puzio & her husband Jozef. Cherished Dziadek of Adam & Stephanie. Predeceased by his parents Jullian and Sophie. Dear brother of Jozefa, Jadwiga, Jozef and Stanislaw, all of Latvia. Dear brother-in-law of Zenobia Urbanowicz & her late husband Michael. Predeceased by his sister Ana, and by his brother-in-law Nicholas. Will be lovingly remembered by his God daughter and niece Krystyna Martin and her husband Dave, and by his niece Margaret Hirth & her husband Basil. Frank will be sadly missed by his great nieces and nephews Andrea, Julia, Christopher, Basil Michael, and Thomasz, and by many nieces and nephews in Poland and Latvia. Frank was a member of the General Sikorski Polish Veterans Association, he was a WWII Polish Army Veteran of Monte Casino and a devoted parishioner of St. Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, with Mass of Christian Burial at St. Hedwig's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 10 a.m. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7 p.m. Memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation or the Charity of your choice would be appreciated. Visitation Sunday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m.

ELLAM, Sidney C.
(June 4, 1906 - January 24, 2007)
Peacefully, Sid was called home to meet his Lord Jesus and the love of his life, Betty (Elizabeth Davidson), in his 101st year. A loving daddy to Donna and Gerald Wills, and grandad to Laura. Dearly loved by the Pantaleo family and many others who knew him as grandad. He was an example of kindness and faithfulness and always inspired hope. His joyous smile, booming voice and hardy handshake will be immensely missed by his VCC church family and his many friends. Funeral Service to be held on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Port Perry Victory Christian Centre, 593 Alma Street (905) 985-1346 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial Donations may be made to the Charity of choice.

Dear grandmother of Brendan, Roxan, Alexis, Rosalyn and Trevor. Lovingly remembered by family and friends. A service of remembrance will be held at ST. GEORGE'S ANGLICAN CHURCH (south west corner of #2 Hwy. and Randall Drive, Ajax) Pickering Village on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Should family and friends so desire, donations to Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children or Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health-Port Perry on Wednesday, January 24th, 2007. Beloved wife of John Douglas Pugh for 62 years. Dear mother of Joann Forson and her husband Bill, and Debbie Bouchard and her husband Jim. Loving Gramma of Michael, Jacqueline, Melanie, Ryan, Vicki and Great Grandmother of Brock Bouchard. Violet will be lovingly remembered by the Dicks family and friends. Predeceased by her four sisters, Hazel, Marge, Olive and Dorothy. Fondly remembered by her Hillsdale family. Passed away peacefully, after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at the Sunnycrest Nursing Home, Whitby, in her 79th year. Daughter of the late Maible Harper Whinfield Boudreau and the late Nelson Whinfield. Beloved wife of the late Alexander MacKenzie Wilson. Survived by her sister Carol Mills of Nanaimo, B.C. and her sons Jamie and Toby and their families. Also survived by her brother-in-law, George M. Wilson, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. At Peggy's request, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) from 12 noon until the time of memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2007. Donations made in memory of Peggy Anne to a Charity of choice would be appreciated.

DEVITT, Velma
Peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at the Markham Stouffville Hospital in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Joe. Loving mother of Steve, Janice, Bruce and the late Diane. Cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Velma is survived by her her four sisters and brother. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Guests will be received at the MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby (just north of Hwy 2) on Saturday, January 27th from 1pm until the time of the Memorial Service at 2pm. Donations in Velma's memory directed to the Heart& Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
