ALLAN, Dorothy "Dot"
After a short battle against cancer, peacefully, at Lakeridge Health Corp. Bowmanville, on Tuesday, January 16, 2007. Dorothy (nee Willson) in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Lewis Allan. Dear mother of Susan Clearwater and her husband Rick Lea and Nancy and her husband Bud Fluke. Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Brian, Kody, Mandie and Connie. Survived by her sister Ruth McMullan and predeceased by her sister Gladys Graham and brothers Clayton and Gord Willson. At her request no service. Cremation with interment at GROVESIDE CEMETERY. If desired, donations made in Dorothy's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made through McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558).

BRAYFORD, Elizabeth
On the morning of January 16, 2007 with family by her side, Elizabeth Brayford of Whitby, closed her eyes and went to Eternal Glory. Beloved wife of the late Allan Brayford. The greatest Mother to Gregory and Geoffrey. Daughter to John and Margaret Turnbull. Daughter-in-law of Ada Brayford and the late Gordon. Dear sister of Sadie, Ray, Tommy, Margaret, Jessie and Joan. Auntie to many Nephews and Nieces. Nanny to the Whitla and Beauparlant families. She was loved by all who knew her. Her kindness and bright smile will be sorrowly missed and the world is indeed a far lesser place without her in it. Visitation will be held Friday, January 19th from 7 to 9 p.m at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby (905-668-3410). and on Saturday, January 20 at Faith Baptist Church, 95 Taunton Road East, Whitby from 12 noon to 1pm. Funeral Service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment, GROVESIDE CEMETERY. In lieu of flowers, donations for AIDS orphans through South African Children's Education Fund would be greatly appreciated. Please make cheques payable to Faith Baptist Church.

COOPER, Marie Elaine
Born March 28, 1943.
It is with great sadness that the family of Elaine Cooper announces her sudden passing on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at her home. Forever remembered by Chris and lovingly remembered by her children Dave (Della), Adrienne and Brad (Dawn). Elaine will be fondly remembered by her grandson Sam. She leaves behind her loving brother Ron. Elaine will also be forever remembered by her cousins, nieces and extended family of both the Welsh and Hicks, dear friends and co-workers at Black & Decker Canada. Elaine had a passion for life and work and always looked forward to her vacations at a cottage. Elaine loved relaxing on her back deck in the summer enjoying a glass of wine while watching the birds. Visitation will be held at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby (905-668-3410) on Friday, January 19, 2007 from 2pm-4pm and Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 2pm-4pm. There will be a private family service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local Humane Society.

HOAG, Bernice May (nee Powell)
At Lakeridge Health, Oshawa on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 Bernice Hoag in her 89th year. Beloved wife of Frank Hoag for 66 years. Dear mother of Norris and his wife Carol of Guelph. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Shawn and his wife Valerie of Ottawa, Glenn and his wife Sherri of Wasaga Beach and Aaron and his finance Kelly of Toronto and by her great-grandchildren Patrick, Shannon, Callum, Aidan and Liam. Dear sister of Frances Schneider and her husband Joseph of Whitby, Doris Wood of New Brunswick, Jessie Mills of London, Ont., and Nelson Powell of London, Ont. Predeceased by her sister Olive Duffield and her brothers Arthur, Morley, Stanley, Norman and Gordon Powell. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street, Oshawa with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday, January 19th, 2007 at 2 p.m. Interment at Union Cemetery, Oshawa. Memorial donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday 2-4 and 7-9.

Loving grandfather of Ian, Todd & Lorie, Craig & Jill, Tracey & Troy Kaster, Bradley & Renee, Kevin & Nancy Kameka, Stephanie & Rion Cureatz. Great-grandfather of Jesse, Trysten & Stella Bowers, Hannah & Stuart Kaster. Dear brother of Jean Murney & the late David Park, Ivy Coverley, Enid Steele, Douglas Park & James Park. Memorial visitation will be held at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division Street N. Bowmanville on Friday, January 19th, 2007 from 7-9 pm. ROBINSON, Edward "Eric" McKinley (Poppa Joe)
Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Tuesday, January 16, 2007, in his 64th year. Beloved brother, father, grandfather, and cherished friend to all who knew him. "Live, love, laugh - you will be dearly missed." A celebration of Eric's life will be held on Sunday, January 21, from 1-4 p.m. at Kingside Park Community Centre, 537 Tennyson Avenue, Oshawa. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Butterfly Organization through the Oshawa Community Credit Union account #20845 would be appreciated.

Passed away on January 16, 2007, in her 92nd year. She lived with her late husband Tom in the homestead at 'Pebblestone Golf Course' until her health deteriorated and she moved to 'The Wynfield'. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Alma Stainton and was married for 36 years to the late Tom Sobil. Survived by her sister Berenice Hawley, Peterborough, brothers- in-law Peter Sobil, Paul (Shirley) Sobil, and sister-in-law Phyllis Sobil, Columbus. Predeceased by her sister Doris (Ross) Lee, brothers Lloyd and John Stainton, brothers-in-law Frank (Goldie) Sobil, Stephen Sobil, Adam Hawley and sisters-in-law May Lyczba (Joe) and Annie Sobil. She will be greatly missed by her nieces Diane Werry and Catherine Hawley and sister-in-law Shirley Sobil. She was a very special aunt to all her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Friday from 7-9 p.m. and Saturday, January 20, 2007 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment Zion United Church Cemetery. Eileen's request was that donations be made to Zion United Church in lieu of flowers. Special thanks to the nurses and staff at The Wynfield for the amazing care given to Eileen and family.

Loving mother of Louise Quinn (Larry), Joe (Connie), and David (Debbie). Cherished grandmother of Marie Broadstock (Bob), Brandon and Daniel. Predeceased by Auntie Florence. 78, of Ajax, previously of East Wall, Dublin, Ireland, passed away peacefully on January 15th, 2007 at home with his family at his side. Beloved husband of Ellen Grundy (nee L'Estrange) for 53 years. Father of Marion Setchim (deceased) and husband David, Gregory and wife Jenny, Debbie Miller and husband Bill, Colin and wife Marie, Graham and wife Tracy. Lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren James, Alexander, Edward, Gavin, Derick, Helena, Kyle, André, Emily, Stephen, Liam and Mathew. Survived by brother Sean and wife Rita of Dublin, Ireland and nieces and nephews.
