APPLETON, Bernice Isobel
With sadness the family announces the passing of Bernice Appleton (nee Hill) on Saturday, February 24, 2007, at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Port Perry. Wife of the late Wilfred Appleton. Beloved mother of Fred Appleton and his wife Jan of Oshawa, Bev Stanley and her husband, Dave of Prince Albert, Betty Mackie and her husband, Brian of Brooklin, and Judy Suwala and her husband, Bill of Lindsay. Loved and remembered by her grandchildren Geoff and Greg Appleton, Adam, Aaron and Gavin Stanley, Jennifer, Kevin and Joanna Mackie and Stephen and Brooke Suwala, and her great-grandchildren Kayla, Rachel, Wilson and Charlie. Dear sister of Joan Knight and Muriel Lynde. The family of Bernice Appleton will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME "McDermott-Panabaker Chapel", 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Tuesday, February 27th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, February 28th at 11 a.m. with Reverend Sue Robinson officiating. Interment, GROVESIDE CEMETERY, Brooklin. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Port Perry Community Care or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

COOK- Theresa Marie (nee Damario)
April 3, 1931 to February 24, 2007
(Village Retirement Home, Pickering- Retiree after 29 years of service)
After a hard fight, Theresa passed away peacefully at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. Forever cherished by her loving husband and best friend, Russell. Loving mother of Tammy (Harold), Janis (Larry), Lynn (John), Dennis (Jo-Anne), and Wayne. Nana to Brandy (Michael), Kristen, Crystal ( Dale ), Kayla, Josh, Jordan, Chantel, and Chris. Great Nana to Jessie, Jared, Cameron and Tanner. Theresa will be remembered by many siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. Many thanks to the staff at Uxbridge Cottage Hospital. Resting at The ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday, March 1st at 11am. Cremation. Visitation Wednesday 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Donations to The Alzheimer Society in Theresa's memory would be greatly appreciated by the family.

IVENS, Roger John
Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa on Saturday, February 24th, 2007 in his 86th year. Roger, beloved husband of the late Stella. Dear father of Jim (Marion), Jennifer (Aaron), Laura (David), Sandra (Terry) and David (Dawn). Adored grandfather of Michele, Tianna, Sonya, Aron, Sean, Roben, Nicole, Jennifer, Deanna, Adam, Sarah, Teri and Emma Rose. Cherished great-grandfather of Ryan, Kyle, Renell, Scott, David, Meeka, Brandon, Christian, Bailey, Jessica, Kaira, Lena, David, Anka, Jack and Danika. A special thank you to Tanya, for her wonderful care and compassion to our father. Peacefully at the Port Perry Community Nursing Home on Saturday, February 24, 2007. In her 92nd year. Mildred, beloved wife of the late Wilfred, dear sister of Doris Smith, Donald Cain, and Lorna Cain. Predeceased by sister Evelyn Smalley, and brothers, Stanley Cain and Gordon Cain. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charity of your choice.

JOHNSTON, JAMES
At Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Saturday, February 24, 2007 in his 88th year. James, beloved husband of the late Elizabeth McGregor. Dear father of Janice and her husband, John Scanlan. Dear uncle of Peter Johnston of Dwight, Ontario. At the family's request there will be no funeral services. Cremation at Bowmanville Crematorium with interment of cremated remains in Bethesda Cemetery. Donations in James's memory to the Ontario Humane Society may be made through the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4 Division St., Bowmanville, L1C 2Z1.

LECLAIRE, Roland
Passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Saturday, February 24th, 2007 at the age of 87. Dearly beloved husband of Evelyn Leclaire (nee Cyr) for 56 years. Loving father of Sandra Darlington (Paul Walker) and Gary Leclaire (Daphne). Cherished grandpa of Lance (Jenn Cory) and Jade Darlington and Griffin, Reed, Treyton Leclaire. Roland is predeceased by his parents Fred and Rose Alva Le Clerc (nee Gagnon). Lovingly remembered by his brothers, Chester, Louis, Elymer, and Robert and his sisters, Mabel, Jeanette, Freda, Laurie, Joanne, and Judith. Predeceased by his brother, Jean and his son-in-law, Forbes Darlington. Fondly remembered by many friends and relatives. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. PHILLIP THE APOSTLE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1314 Oxford St., Oshawa on Wednesday, February 28th at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive visitors at the Church 1 hour prior. Interment Thornton Cemetery. McCULLOUGH, Irvin "Irv" John

Peacefully at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville on Saturday, February 24, 2007, after celebrating his 90th birthday on February 15th. Dear husband of Audrey for 30 years and predeceased by his first wife, Jean, in 1973. Loving father to his five sons, Dave and his wife, Marg of Oshawa, Paul and his wife, Myrna of Oshawa, Gary and his wife Jeannie of Oshawa, Pete and his wife Lynda of Bowmanville, and Bill and his wife Debbie of Lindsay. Loving Grandpa to his 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Irv is survived by his step-children, Bev and his wife, Theresa Brereton, Kathy and her husband, Ted McCrae and their children, Sister Joan and predeceased by his other sister Betty and his brother Doug. Friends may call at the NEWCASTLE FUNERAL HOME, 386 Mill St. S. (just north of 401 at the lights) on Tuesday, February 27, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 28, at 1:00 p.m. with visiting one hour prior to the service. Peacefully on Friday, February 23, 2007 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Leonard John Barker for over 50 years. Loving mother of Maureen Gough and her husband, Wayne. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie Sinnott and her husband, Ian and great-grandmother of Emily and Matthew Sinnott. Lil will be sadly missed by her many friends and card partners. Loving papa of Tyler and Julian. Brother of Eugene (Diane), Hugh (Laura), Paulette (O'Dell), Brenda (Wayne), Hughette (Greg) and Mary-Ellen (Tom). He will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Grant retired from General Motors Canada with 30+ years service. He was an avid hockey fan and also a member and trainer with Standardbred Canada.
