Passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Rockcliffe Long Term Care Facility in her 79th year Loving wife of the late Purindra (1992). Beloved mother of Roy (Diane), Allan (Wilma), Roseanne (Glen), Adrian, Dale, Denise (Ken) and the late Raymond (1999). Ada will be forever in the hearts of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her many sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. STUBBINGS, Joyce
It is with broken hearts that the family announce her passing after a brief illness at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on February 18, 2007. Just 18 weeks after the loss of her soul mate and true love, Ray Stubbings Sr., mom and dad are reunited again. Joyce leaves behind her daughter Carol and husband Simon Collins and her son Ray Stubbings Jr. and his wife Heather. Also mourning the loss of their Nan are Timothy (Kristy), Vanessa (Chris), Joshua (Cyress), Joseph (Angie), Richard, Sarah, Tristan and Raeanne. Great Nan of Courtney, Aidyn, Hunter, Connor and Leah. Joyce is predeceased by one brother and leaves behind 8 sisters and their families as well as a sister-in-law Betty (Bernard) Craig. Mom will be missed by special neighbours and friends in Whitby and Oshawa. You all know who you are. Resting at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, (110 Dundas Street East, Whitby 905-668- 3410). Peacefully at Scarborough General Hospital on Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Roberts and Roy Grant. Loving and cherished mother of Sandra and her husband, Sidney Englefield of Scarborough. Dear Grandmother to John, Jason, Michael, Jennifer and her husband, John, Shawn, Kaitlin and Rachel. Will be sadly missed by her adopted second daughter, Bridget Edwards. Predeceased by parents Charlotte and Charles Beechner, her sister, Rose and her eleven brothers. Peacefully, with family present at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, February 17th, 2007, he went to be with his Lord and Saviour after a two-and-a-half year struggle with lymphoma Peter is survived by his wife, Gerrie; his children, Richard - Julie, Jodie - Andy Richard, and Matthew; grandchildren, Katelin and Josiah. He was a dear brother and brother-in-law to Jack - Margo Rupke, Gerry - Helen Rupke, David - Nancy Rupke, Linda - Pete Weening, Joyce Belcourt, Chris - Bev Rupke, Steve - Pauline Rupke and John - Nellie Schievink. Dear son-in-law to Tina (Schievink) VanDyk. He is predeceased by his brother Bill and his parents, John - Tina. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of 6F at Lakeridge Health Oshawa. CORRIGAN, William Edmund (Bill)
Passed away suddenly at Versa-Care, Uxbridge Friday, February 16, 2007 at the age of 58. Beloved son of Loretta and the late Peter Corrigan. Cherished brother of Jim (Susan) and Nora (John) Cavers. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Susan (Jason) Catherwood, Samantha (Greg) Shaw, Jason Corrigan, Jon (Karla) Corrigan, Andrea (Craig) Watt, Andrew Cavers, and his great nieces Meghan Catherwood, Sarah Watt, and great-nephew, Michael Watt. Bill was a graduate of Uxbridge High School where he won awards for public speaking. He attended York University, Glendon Campus, majoring in French. His work-life included St. John's Training School in Uxbridge. Bill was a gentle, caring man who experienced the ravages of a mental illness that compromised a life of great potential, yet he never complained. He will be forever remembered and sadly missed by us all. Cremation has taken place. If so desired, memorial donations to The Schizophrenia Society of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
