MACKLIN, Barbara Jean
In her 83rd year.
Long-time Member of Hampton Women's Institute. Peacefully on Friday, February 16th, 2007 at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville. Beloved wife of the late Allan Macklin. Dear mother of Susan - her husband, Sieg Standke, Nancy Macklin and Jim Macklin. Dear sister of the late Ronald Knightley. Dear sister-in-law of Shirley Macklin and Hazel Garrow. Visitation will take place at THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville on Sunday, February 18th, 2007 from 2-4 pm. Funeral Service will be held in our Chapel on Monday, February 19th, 2007 at 1 pm. Spring Interment Hampton Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to The Diabetes Association or Bowmanville Hospital.

BALL, Charles Cecil
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15th, 2007 at Lakeridge Health - Oshawa, in his 89th year. Dearly beloved husband of Katherine Ball for 65 years. Loving father of Carolyn (Graham), Beverly (Don), Mavis (Colin) and Cliff (Pam). Dear Grandpa of Kate, Peter, David, Christine, Erin, Shaun, Diana and Jennifer. Great-Grandpa of Jace, Darian and Elise. Heating contractor, gardener, cottager, curler, golfer, card-player, community activist - he was all these things and much more. His sense of fun, generosity and big heart will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Friends may call for visitation at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234) on Saturday, February 17th from 2 p.m. until time of service in the chapel at 3 o'clock. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

CHABOT, Gary
Suddenly at his residence in Bobcaygeon on Thursday, February 15, 2007. Gary Chabot at 60 years of age, dear son of Fran Moskal, dear brother of Roy Chabot and his wife, Valerie and Peggy Jarvis and her husband, Lester. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. At Gary's request there will be no funeral service. Cremation. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated and may be made through the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa (905)433-471.

CLARKE, Jack Donald
Suddenly at his home on Thursday, February 15th, 2007 in his 87th year. Born in Cobourg, on December 6th, 1920 to the late L. L. D. Clarke and Ethel McLelland. Mr. Clarke proudly served in the Royal Canadian Army and was a long time employee of The T. Eaton Company. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years Eileen Joan of Brooklin. Two cherished daughters Sharron (Wayne) Smith of Whitby and Barbara (Kevin) Martyn of Aurora. Jack will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Andrea, Catherine, Eric, Kyle and Brian. At the request of the family, a private family service was held. Memorial donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905-721-1234).

Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving and caring family at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday, February 15, 2007. Pat in her 72nd year. Beloved wife of Michael Schafer. Dear daughter of the late Dr. Durwin and Hilda Steckley. Dear mother of Leslie and her husband, Jason Buback, Karen and her husband, Chris Burnett, Madeline and her husband, Peter Atack and Michael Jr. and his wife, Laurie Schafer. She will be truly missed by her grandchildren, Emma, Jamie, Jessica, Victoria, Olivia, Caitlin and Nicholas. Pat will be remembered and loved by all who knew her. Resting at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa. With funeral service in the chapel on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at 1pm. Cremation to follow. Loving mother of Gregg Hatton and wife Jen of Oshawa and Taryn Bradley and husband, Mike of Bowmanville. Dear grandmother of Damon, Taegen and Tanner Bradley. Loving daughter of Doreen and the late Alfred Cooke. Sister of Anita Cooke and Ed Cooke, both of Coventry, England. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME, 152 King Street East, Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Thornton Cemetery. Donations in memory of Irene to Multiple Sclerosis Society of Durham Region would be appreciated.

JOHNSTON, Josephine
April 24, 1921 - February 15, 2007
At home with her family at Lake Scugog. Josephine was proud of her service in W.W. II as a Red Cross Ambulance Driver meeting troop trains at night, while her pilot/husband was overseas, and of her years as Regional District Commissioner of the Guelph Pony Club that aimed many young riders at the Olympics. Citizens of Milton, Ontario, will remember her years as Chief Librarian and her very active participation pushing for the new Public Library. Josephine Johnston, dearly beloved wife of Eric Johnston of Nestleton. She is sadly missed by her children Leslie and her husband Chris Andrews, Stephen and his friend Mary, Sheri and her husband, Douglas Crease and Gregory and his wife Gloria. She will be sadly missed by her daughter-in-law, Allison and long time friend, Margaret Grant. Josephine also left her mark with nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She will be missed by her much loved cat, Wretchie. A private Mass will be said for Josephine at The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Port Perry and a memorial party will be held on her Birthday. If desired, memorial donations to the Scugog Animal Shelter would be appreciated.

Suddenly on Thursday, February 15th, 2007. Willis Sayeau in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Marion for 55 years. Loving father of Steven and his wife, Chris of Yellowgrass, Saskatchewan, Brian and his wife, Tammy of Oshawa, Ontario, Michael and his wife Lena of Omemee, Ontario and Carl of Mitchell Corners, Ontario. Dear grandfather of Carrie - Kelly of Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Brent of Calgary, Alberta, Zachary - Selina of Cardiff, Ontario, Peter of Peterborough, Ontario, Lydia and Rachael of Omemee, Ontario. Cherished great-granddaughter Sheridan. Brother of Eva Garlough of Ingleside, Ontario, Bud Sayeau of Cannington, Ontario, and Jack Sayeau and his wife, Fran of Oshawa, Ontario. Will be sadly missed by many extended family and friends. Loving mother of Robert Carlson and his wife Evelyn of Millbrook, Peter Stephenson and his wife, Carolyn of Whitby, Michael Stephenson and his wife, Nancy of Oshawa, Scott Stephenson and his wife, Nancy of Oshawa, and Mary-Leah Tyndall and her husband, Kevin of Innisfil. Dear grandmother of Mark, Troy, Garth Carlson, Shawne, Bronwen, Sarah, Lauren, Samantha, Victoria Stephenson, Michelle, Amanda, Andrew Tyndall, Robyn Heffering, Kim Johnston, and Kristen Nakamura, and great-grandmother of Calvin, John and Danielle. Sister of Kenneth Whiley and his wife Mable, Helen McKenna and her late husband Leo, and the late Mildred Sytnyk. Sister-in-law of William Sytnyk. Aunt of numerous nieces and nephews.
