Peacefully, after a lengthy battle with cancer at the Pine Meadow Nursing Home in Northbrook on Wednesday, February 7, 2007, in his 82nd year. Devoted husband of Marion (nee Miller) Cloyne. Cherished father of Cyndy Young of Stirling and Kim Young of Whitby. Loving brother of Harvey (Ruth) Young of Belleville and Eleanor James of Buckhorn. He is predeceased by his brothers Bruce and John. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, and friends. Following cremation, the family will receive friends at the MASCHKE FUNERAL HOME, 11928 Hwy #41, Northbrook, Ontario K0H 1Z0 (613-336-6873) on Friday from 7 - 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 - 11:00 a.m. The Funeral Service will follow in the Chapel on Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. An interment of ashes will be held at a later date. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ferne Ball on Tuesday, February 6th, 2007 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa following a brief illness. Ferne was the beloved wife of the late Frank E. Ball and Dear mother of Carole, and her husband Doug Gibbs of Oshawa and Steve Ball and his wife Heather of Whitby. She is lovingly remembered by her grandchildren; Todd Gibbs and his wife Susan, Laura, Diana, and Derek Ball and Kristen Mason. Cherished Nana to her great-grand daughter Grace. Ferne is survived by her brother Jack Dewell and his wife Verna of Oshawa and her brother-in-law Donald Ball and his wife Angela of Toronto. Ferne was retired from General Printers-Oshawa.
