HENDERSON, Debra Elaine (nee White)
(Member of the Eastern Star Sunbeam Chapter No. 173, former employee of Sears of Canada)
Peacefully, at Hillsdale Estates on Sunday, February 4th, 2007, Debra in her 53rd year. Beloved wife of Rick Henderson. Loving mother of Matthew Henderson of Toronto, Lindsay Wright and her husband Brad of Bowmanville, and Wesley Henderson of Oshawa. Grandmother of Oliver Wright. Dear daughter of Allan and Donna White, and daughter-in-law of Maud Henderson. Sadly missed by siblings Glenn White and his wife Kim of Lindsay, Denyse McRobb and her husband Craig of Whitby, Cori Minsart and her husband Raoul of Miami, Florida, and Allison Campbell of Lindsay, and their families. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at the McINTOSH- ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St., E., Oshawa (905-433- 5558) on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, February 8, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. with cremation to follow. Donations in memory of Debra to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.

HOOD, Velma (nee Farrow)
- Passed away at Lakeview Manor, Beaverton on Sunday, February 4, 2007 in her 93rd year. Velma Hood of Beaverton, formerly of Lemonville and Stouffville, beloved wife of the late Clarence Hood. Loving mother of Gloria (Glenn) Thompson of Mississauga, Marilyn (late John) Smith of Orillia and Clarian (Barbara) Hood of Listowel. Dear grandmother of Lisa, Peter, Susan, Jennifer, Heather and Angela. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Annie (Cooper) Farrow; her sisters Nola (William) Porter and Florence (Bruce) Beach. Survived by sister-in-law Peggy (late Aylmer) Hood of Stouffville.

THOMAS, Walter Morgan
On February 4, 2007 at the age of 90 (born St. Lambert, Quebec). Walter passed away at Lakeridge Health Whitby surrounded in love by his family. He leaves his beloved wife of 65 years, Margaret "Pet" Isabella (MacKellar) and his children, Carol Dewey (Bill), Beverley Hunnisett (Lawrence Myers), and Karen Floyd (Peter) and his sister Dorothy McNeish. He is predeceased by his daughter Lois. He conveyed a legacy of humour and love of life to his many devoted and loving grandchildren and great- grandchildren, who have delighted in his stories and jokes over the years. This prized legacy to his family will live on in our hearts and through them, for future generations. As per Walter's request there will be no funeral service and the family will gather to celebrate a full life well lived. If desired, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. We feel blessed Dad was admitted to Lakeridge Health Whitby, for his final journey. He was treated with respect and dignity by the nursing and medical staff of 4 West, and the staff of the dialysis unit at Lakeridge Health Whitby.

BEATTIE, John Ward
On February 3, 2007, three days before his 88th Birthday, John passed away peacefully after a short illness at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville. Proudly independent until his death, he had a love of travel and wood working. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Beattie (1999). Brother of Norm Beattie and sisters Marion Reeves and the late Esther Chappell. He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Joan Crawford and her husband Wayne, Ann Welsh and her husband Dan, grandchildren Paul Quantrill, Jenny O'Donnell and her husband Niall, Tracey Welsh, Kevin Welsh, great-granddaughter Eirinn O'Donnell and close friend Nola Bridger. A Memorial Come and Go Tea will be held in his honour on Saturday, February 17, 2007 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the Hall at the Seniors Complex, 200 Station Street, Orono where he had lived for many years. In lieu of flowers donations to Bethesda House, Bowmanville (www.bethesdahouse.ca) or 905-623-6045 Ext. 202) would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the MORRIS FUNERAL CHAPEL, Bowmanville.

ALLAIN, Claudette (nee LeBlanc)
Peacefully at Ajax - Pickering Health Centre on February 2, 2007 at the age of 67. Beloved wife and best friend of Donald. Loving mother of Brenda Allain (Sue), Bob and Sandra King (Gary). Proud grandmother of Andrew and Brent King. Sister to Yvonne LeBlanc, Beatrice Goguen and Aurore Silas. Predeceased by her brothers Leon, Ola and Elphege, and her sisters Lorraine and Ida. Remembered by many sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Loved by many of her neighborhood children. Friends will be received at the W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby 905-668-3410 on Monday, February 5, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Holy Family Parish 91 Ribblesdale Drive, Whitby on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 1:30 pm. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Whitby. In memoriam donations may be made to the Durham Lung Association.

Suddenly at home on Friday, February 2nd, 2007, in his 72nd year. Dearly beloved husband of Marina. Loving father of Koula Barlow and her husband Richard, Rebecca Tyrovolas and her husband Dino and Maria Kerr and her husband Duncan. Cherished grandfather of Mary, Katarina, Victoria, Kristen and Keeghan. Dear brother of Eleni Androu of Cyprus, Maroula Hadjianastasiou and her husband Jordan, Anna Kimonos and her husband Perry and Alexandra Loizou of Cyprus. Will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and numerous friends. Peacefully at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill on Friday, February 2, 2007, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Hugh McLeod. Loving mother of John of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Hugh and his wife Cheryl of Vegreville, Alberta and Dianne McLeod of Richmond Hill. Devoted Grandmother of Jeff and Ben. Dear sister of Grace Fletcher of Hamilton, Ethel and her husband Garnet Mills of Napanee. Predeceased by her parents John and Jessie Bryans of Bruce Mines, her dear sister Ruby Bryans and brother Angus (Ivy) Bryans and Dan Fletcher. RAVARY, Gerald (Gerry)
Gerry was a Member of the Whitby Sports Hall of Fame, he was an active Member of the Ontario Lacrosse Association especially with the Brooklin Redmen and the Brooklin Merchants. He was an active Member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd and Fourth Degrees, Faithful Admiral of Father Leo J. Austin Assembly 2287.
Passed away suddenly on Friday, February 2, 2007 in his 75th year. Gerry, beloved husband of Lorna. Dear father of Sandra, Gary and Leanne, Paul and Julie, Gail and Gary Edwards, Scott and Darlene, Terry and Valerie, Tracey Scott, and step- father of Jeff and Belinda Solly, and Janis and Kevin Antram. Loving grandfather of 23 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by his sister Jacqueline Sullivan, and by his mother-in-law Elma McColm. He will be sadly missed by his dog, his great little friend "Chewy". The family will receive friends at the W.C. SPEAR, Glenn John Edward
Born October 13th, 1965.
Suddenly at his home on February 2nd 2007, Port Perry, Ontario. Much loved son of Jeanne Spear (Kent Fee) and the late Robert Spear. Devoted father of Justin and Cameron of Oshawa and their mother Christine Back. Fiancé of Debbie Newlove. Best friend and brother of Debra (Robert) Fowler, Bobby (Christy) Spear, Sherry (Keith) Tremblay, Bill (Liz) Spear. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews; Steven, Lorelei, Barrett, Jordan, Kirby, Chelsey, Victoria, Echo - Leigh and Bobbie Lynn, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and friends. Future Step-father of Robert (Samantha) Shepherd and Shane Shepherd. Glenn lived life to the fullest and was always known as "one wild and crazy guy".
