STOKMAN, Lisa Anne (nee Donohue)
After a brief illness at the Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Friday, February, 2nd, 2007 at the age of 47. Dearly beloved wife and best friend of Gerry. Loving mother of Leslie, Brett and James. Dear daughter of Mary and Vincent Donohue and daughter-in-law of Joanne and Gerry Stokman. Sister of Shari Lynn and her husband John Spratt, Kally and her husband Dan Spadafore, and the late Keri. Dear aunt of Taylor, Garrett, Lauren, Janine and Mikaela. Sadly missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Friends may call at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West (905)721-1234 for visitation on Tuesday, February 6th from 2-4 - 6:30 - 9P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 7th at 11:00A.M. at HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC CHURCH (91 Ribblesdale Dr. Whitby, near Manning Rd. and Anderson St.) Interment Resurrection Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated.

VEENSTRA, Len
Went to be with his God, on February 2, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Len just turned 33 the week before. He was predeceased by his father, Henk Veenstra in 1997 and is survived by his mom, Coby Veenstra, Jessica and Paul Brooks, Kristina, Stephanie and Jordan and Mark and Sara Bradimore Veenstra, Illianna and Jacob. God's miracles transcend the things we expect and God gave Len the miracle to face his death in faith, without fear. Funeral Service will be held at ZION CHRISTIAN REFORMED CHURCH, 409 Adelaide St. E. Oshawa on Monday, February 5th, 2007 at 11 am. Interment Bowmanville Cemetery. Visitation will take place following the interment, during the reception at Zion Christian Reformed Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Zion food bank. Len said: We need to feed the hungry, not decorate the dead." Arrangements entrusted to THE NORTHCUTT ELLIOTT FUNERAL HOME, 53 Division St. N. Bowmanville.

ALSOP, Myrtle
After a brief illness on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Whitby, at age 93 Myrtle (nee Hartin), loved wife of the late Ross Alsop. Loved mother of Shirley (late Ross), Dale (deceased), Dorothy (Bob), Bonny (Lawrence) Valery (Dave), Blaine (Judie), Gail (Richard) and Sharon. Myrtle will be sadly missed by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brothers Max and Marvin. The Family of Myrtle Alsop will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 'McDermott - Panabaker Chapel' 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171) on Sunday, February 4th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Private Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel on Monday, February 5th with Pastor Mark Scott officiating. Interment Glamorgan Cemetery, Gooderham in the Spring. If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Canadian Cancer Society.

GATISS, Betty Jean (nee Calford/Moores)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Lakeridge Health - Bowmanville on Thursday, February 1st, 2007 at the age of 78. She will be deeply missed by her companion Mike Hogeling and by her children Gary (Diane), David (Shelly), Roy (Rochelle), Brian (Carol), Judy (Stan). Forever cherished by her 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her spouse Robert Gatiss. Many thanks to Dr. Shrives and the nursing staff of SC Unit and Rev. B. White. If desired, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.

HEGGIE, Darrell
Peacefully on Thursday, February 1, 2007 at the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre at the age of 59. Loving daughter of Bill and Emily Heggie. Cherished sister of Barbara and Bruce (Donna). Darrell will be sadly missed by her niece Paula and nephews Scott and Andrew. Family and friends will be received at the MOUNT LAWN RECEPTION CENTRE, 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby (just north of Hwy 2) on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 from 1 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Darrell's memory directed to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.

McLEAN, Richard Donald
Entered into rest after a brief illness at the Lakeridge Health Centre, Oshawa on Thursday, February 1, 2007. Rick McLean, in his 52nd year, was the beloved son of Annamay McLean of Oakwood and the late George McLean. Much loved brother of Keith McLean and his wife Cheryl of Morriston, Larry McLean and his wife Gisele of Brampton, Debbie McLean and Morris Hughes of Meaford, Cathy and her husband Rolf Paul of Calgary, Alberta, Randy McLean and Debbie MacDonald of Edmonton, Edward McLean and Jo-Anne Irvine of Cameron, Chris McLean of Oakwood, Kevin McLean and his wife Tara of Orangeville and predeceased by his brother Carl McLean (1971). Lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. If desired, memorial donations to The Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.

McKERACHER, William John "Bill"
After a brief illness, on Thursday, February 1, 2007, at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, at age 91. Bill McKeracher of Port Perry, and formerly of North York, beloved husband of the late Clara (nee O'Meara). Loving father of Peter McKeracher and his wife Collette of Little Britain, and the late Jane McKeracher. Loved grandfather of Liam, Colleen, and Alex. Dear brother of the late Charles McKeracher and his wife Mary, and brother-in-law of Eleanor (deceased) and her husband Joe Currie of Halifax and Elaine and her husband Cornelius MacCormac (deceased) of Charlottetown and the late Ann O'Meara. Bill will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews. The family of Bill McKeracher will receive friends at the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, "McDermott- Panabaker Chapel, " 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171), on Sunday, February 4th from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1710 Scugog Street (Hwy. 7A) in Port Perry on Monday, February 5th at 10 a.m., with Father Peter Lackmanec officiating. SABINO, Antonietta (nee Vitale)
Passed away peacefully at the Rouge Valley Health Centre - Ajax surrounded by her loving family on February 1, 2007 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Nicola Sabino (predeceased 1994). Loving mother to her children Grace and Joe Trenatdue, Joe and Clara Sabino, Tom and Louise Sabino, Pat and Lisa Sabino, Anna and Dino Ciaccia and Rosa and Pat Alfonsi. Proud Nonna to Raffaele, Kirsten, Nick, Pat, Dolores, Tony, Lesley, Antonette, James, Nick, Nicolette, Nicky, Michael, Alyssa, Gilda, Annalisa and Joseph. Proud Beez Nonna to Joshua, Gabriella, Mariella, and Joey. Antonietta will be lovingly remembered by her brothers and sisters Domenic Vitale, Vincenzo (Lina) Vitale, Anna Pasquale, Melina (Nicola) Zonni, Angela Museco, Gina Mancini, and Alfredo Mariconda. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Isaac Jogues Roman Catholic Church (1148 Finch Avenue East, Pickering) on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 10:30 a.m.

Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Bill (Brenda), Eddie (Marla), Chris (Ashleigh), Rita, David and Ryan and her great-grandchildren Erin, Jennifer and Shannon. Doris will be sadly missed by her family, relatives and friends.
