FLEMING, Maureen
Entered into rest, at the Brockville General Hospital on Saturday, October 13, 2007, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of the late Tony Fleming. Dear mother of Janice Corneil (Martin Visser) and Diane McRae (Carol Luders). Loving Nan to Chris McRae (Lori), Corey Stone, Tricia Harnum (Bruce), Jackie Graveline (Kevin Thomas), Becky McRae (Mike Hogeveen) and “G. Nan” of Dylan, Briana, Keralyn, Braydon, Ethan, Spencer, Blake, Alex, Ty and Cassie.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Maureen’s life will be held in Christ United Church, Lyn on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Cremation will follow at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. In memoriams to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Interval House will be gratefully acknowledged.

FOREMAN, John Robert
Entered into rest on Friday, October 12, 2007, at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site, John Robert Foreman of Brockville, age 56 years. Beloved spouse of Karen Marie Cheetham. Dear father of John Foreman of Barrie and Karrie Ann Foreman (Fred) of Surmount. Stepfather of Dwayne Molson (Dayna Donovan), Kyle Molson (Pam Cassleman) and Dustin Molson all of Brockville. Grandfather to Noel and Poppa to Kylie and Avril Molson. Also survived by a sister Gail Stevens of Hamilton as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Garry Foreman.
Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl St. East Brockville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service for John will be held in the chapel on Wednesday October 17th, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations directed to the Watch Tower or the Bible Track Society of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

GILMER, Helen Margaret
Peacefully, at the Montfort Hospital on Friday, October 12, 2007, Helen Gilmer of Brinston, in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Percy Gilmer. Dear mother of Larry (Debbie) of South Mountain. Grandmother to Timothy (Becky), Matthew, Shawn and Ashley. Predeceased by sisters Dorothy Fisher, Ruby McMillan and brother Brock Fisher. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home, Iroquois on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Brinston United Church on Tuesday, October 16 at 11 a.m. Donations to the Brinston United Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Interment Spruce Haven Cemetery, Brinston.

HUBERT, Linda Alberta
Sadly and suddenly, at the Ottawa General Hospital on Friday, October 12, 2007, at the age of 56 years. Loved daughter of Gerrit and Maatje Van't Foort. Beloved wife of Daniel Hubert. Loving mother of Melanie Hare (Kevin) and Lisa Farrelly (Ken). Cherished grandmother of Dylan Farrelly. Dear sister of Wilma (Martin), Betty (Al), Tena (Bryan), Tim (Birgit), Marg (Ginus) and Harry (IIena). Loved by several nieces and nephews. Linda’s compassionate nature will be sadly missed by her many friends and family.
Friends may call at the Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Funeral Service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Smiths Falls on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. TYE, Lorna G.
Peacefully, at her residence, Lyndhurst on Saturday, October 13, 2007, Lorna Gardiner of Lyndhurst, in her 65th year. Widow of Lloyd Tye. Beloved companion of John Tye. Dear mother of David of Philipsville, Clark (Darlene) of Battersea, Penny (Wendell) Hughson of Lyndhurst, Tom (Linda) of Lyndhurst and Robyn (John) Dale of Brockville. Dear sister of Jane Kelsey of Delta. Fondly remembered by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by a niece and a nephew.
The family will receive friends at the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street, Elgin on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Interment Olivet Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (Cancer Centre) or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

COVILLE, Hiram Douglas
Peacefully, at the Brockville General Hospital on Wednesday, September 19, 2007, Hiram Coville of Brockville in his 91st year. Beloved husband of the late Jessie Martin. Cherished father of Martin.
Friends will be received at the Open Door Fellowship Church, Highway 29, Tincap on Friday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Maynard Cemetery. Peacefully, at the Maple View Lodge, Athens on Wednesday evening, September 19th, 2007, Gerrit De Jong, age 89 years. Beloved husband of Ynskje Dykstra. Dear father of Peter De Jong (Shirley) of Charleston Lake, Frank De Jong (Dorothy) of Addison and Barry De Jong of Brockville. Predeceased by a daughter Catherine DeRoos and her husband Stewart of RR4, Athens. Also predeceased by a daughter-in-law Corrie De Jong of Charleston Lake. Loving grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by two brothers and two sisters, Wiebe De Jong of Athens, Sid De Jong (Fay) of Hope, B.C., Hiltje De Jong of the Netherlands and Francis Mulder (Sieger) of RR3, Winchester. Predeceased by three brothers and three sisters, Bouwe De Jong (Hiltje) and Jurjen De Jong, all of the Netherlands, John De Jong of Orillia, Susan Bosma of Emo, Ont., Sietske De Jong (4 years) of the Netherlands and Sietske Veenema of RR1, Morrisburg. Also survived by a daughter-in-law Cathy De Jong of Redan as well as several nieces and nephews.

MARSHALL, Lela
Entered into rest at St. Lawrence Lodge on Thursday, September 20, 2007, Lela Haws Marshall, in her 94th year. Wife of the late Orrin Marshall. Dear mother of Glenn and his wife Kathleen Marshall and Cecil and his wife Jacqueline Marshall of Perth. Dear grandmother of Steven (Shawna) Marshall, Christopher (Nancy) Marshall, Shelley (Gary) Bender and Jonathan Marshall (Julia). Great-grandmother of Taylor and Cody Marshall, Kristin and Stephanie Bender and Nathan Marshall. Also survived by a brother Edgar Haws (Geraldine) and by a sister-in-law Vada Haws as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Borden and Mansel Haws and by a sister Evelena Harper.

PRINGLE, Alexis Emerald
Suddenly, in Brockville at the age of 6 years. Beloved daughter of Pamela Young (Adam “Pozo” Nelson) and Chris (Lara) Pringle. Dear sister of Gage Damien Nelson, Mason Robert Pringle and Emma Jane Pringle. Cherished granddaughter of Sandra Hartley (George Quehl), Gary Young (Carol), Rob and Eileen Pringle. Great-granddaughter of Donald and Joyce Young. Sadly missed by her uncles Nicholas Young, Matthew Wade and Brad Whitem and by her Godparents Tim and Donna Willis.

SMITH, Greta Mary
Peacefully at Broadview Nursing Centre, Smiths Falls, on September 17th, 2007, at the age of 84. Greta was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond Boyd in December 1980. Dear mother of Richard (the late Sharon), Ronald (Nancy) and Helen Baker (James) and dear grandmother of Steven (Linda), Robert (Dorathy), Mark (Monica), Jennifer Baker (Robert) and Stephanie Baker. Our gratitude to the nursing and support staff at Broadview who cared for our mother with expert skill and compassion.
