LOOMIS, Rita R.
At Brockville General Hospital after a brief illness on Saturday, March 3, 2007, the former Rita R. Finley, at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Warren Loomis. Loving mother of Christopher (Valerie) of St. John’s Nfld., James (Jane) of Brockville and Ann Goody (Steve) of Bridgenorth. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Timothy, Emily, Peter, Erin, Michael, Matthew, Justin and Jessica. Also survived by her sisters Teresa and Blanche Finley, both of Kemptville, by her sister-in-law Stella Loomis of Brockville and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Marie McRobie and Bernice (Bunny) Amyotte.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. The Liturgy of the Christian Funeral will be celebrated at St. John Bosco Church on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to Sherwood Park Manor, the St. John Bosco Parish Mortgage Fund or the Hospice of Providence Palliative Care will be gratefully acknowledged.

McCARTHY, Denis John
On March 3, 2007 Denis passed away suddenly, with family at his side, at the age of 58. Beloved husband and best friend of Susan. Loving father of Jennifer (David) and Heather. Proud grandfather of Elisabeth and Tegan. Cherished son of the late Thomas and Ellen McCarthy of Prescott. Denis will be dearly missed by his many friends, colleagues and family, including his Aunt Jo in England, his nephews Jody (Angela) and Darryl (Yesenia) and his nieces Megan and Natasha. Denis was a kind and generous person, who will be remembered for his sharp mind, his quiet strength and his unwavering sense of humour. He worked for the federal government for more than 30 years, and was a member of the executive of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC). An
adventurous spirit, Denis often took to the open road on his motorcycle, touring as far as Newfoundland and the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Quiet times were spent reading, listening to music and relaxing with family at his lakeside cottage.
Friends may call at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (one block east of Bank Street) from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6th. The Funeral Ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7th in McEvoy-Shields Chapel. Donations may be made in Denis' memory to Canadian Diabetes Association, Heart and Stroke Foundation and University of Ottawa Heart Institute Foundation.

SHIPMAN, Albert
Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Saturday, March 3, 2007, Albert George Shipman at the age of 87 years. Loving father of Kevin Shipman (Michelle) of Mallorytown and Laurie Ann Amoroso (Darryl) of Lyn. Grandfather of Shanna, Gabriella and Hunter. Albert is survived by sisters Nina Blair (Don), Madeline Fourney (Earle) of Brockville, Eudora Farn of Mallorytown and a brother Charlie Shipman of Peterborough. Albert is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Pauline Shipman.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (2503 Victoria Road) on Friday, March 9, 2007 at 2 p.m. In memoriams to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

EYRE, Doris E.
On Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at the Brockville General Hospital, the former Doris Elizabeth Andress, at the age of 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Frederick (Ted) Hollister and the late Harold Eyre. Loving mother of Frederick Hollister of Aylmer, Sandra Owen of Brockville, Vivian Richardson (Dale) of Oakville and Harold “Bud” Eyre (Kim) of Brockville and dear stepmother of Marlene VanDerscheer (Jake), Robert Eyre, Carol Ann Davidson (Derek), Roger Eyre (Donna), Richard Eyre and Elizabeth Sahl (Uwe). Cherished grandmother of Vivian and Teddy Hollister, Ron Gallagher, Tim and Chris Richardson, Erin Vallentgoed (Rich), Tiffany and Matthew Eyre. Also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren and by her sister-in-law Irene Conley of Gananoque. Predeceased by two brothers Roy and Floyd Andress.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Thence to Highway Pentecostal Church for visitation on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Oakland Cemetery. In remembrance, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be gratefully acknowledged. Memorial Services wil be conducted by the Florence Nightingale Chapter No. 5, O.E.S., on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. and by the Lyndale Rebekah Lodge, No. 313 on Friday at 7:45 p.m. All Sister Lodges are welcome to participate.

LANGILLE, Audrey
Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on January 13, 2007. Daughter of the late Edwin and Estella Ray. Beloved wife of the late Burton Albert Langille. Dear aunt of Barney Ray of Sault Ste. Marie, Gordon Ray of Port Carling, Marylin Siskari and Betty Ann Cananaugh, both of Parry Sound. Fondly remembered by many good friends in Brockville and area. Predeceased by sisters Nicky Gorman, Val Ray, Gladstone Ray, Chauncey Ray and Vivian Christenson.
Family and friends are invited to a Service in remembrance of Audrey at the Roselawn Tribute Centre, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Monday, February 19th at 11 a.m. Inurnment will take place in the Roselawn Tower Columbarium followed by a Reception. In remembrance, donations to the charity of your choice will be gratefully acknowledged.

Passed away together at their residence in Ayton on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, Marie and Sjoerd Smallegange. Dear parents of Louise Mulitze and Michael of Cornwall, Nancy Smallegange of Ayton, Edith Nelson and Bob of Paisley, Marten Smallegange and Diane of Clifford, Michael Smallegange and Martha of Etobicoke and John Smallegange of Scarborough. Also survived by eight grandchildren, brothers John Smallegange and Lori, Grant Guild and Laura, Harold Guild and June all of Mallorytown, and Gordon Guild and Linda of Vancouver and sisters Lourina Guild and Grant of Mallorytown, Jannie Grendel and Sjoerd of Brockville, Marie DeWit and Barend of Holland, Corrie Niedergesaess and Karl of Belleville, Susanna Grendel and Feike of Lyn, Adrie Leyenaar and Stuart of Merrickville and Winnie Barnes of Lynhurst, and a brother-in-law Fetze Venema. Predeceased by two sisters Wietske Venema and Wiepke and Fred Jonker.
Friends may call at Victory Baptist Church, Hanover on Friday, February 16, 2007 from 12 noon until the time of Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. Spring interment Union Cemetery, Ayton. WARREN, Harold Bryce
Retired School Principal and retired Production Manager of Career Services. On Wednesday, February 14, 2007, after a long illness with multiple sclerosis and complications resulting from the illness, Harold Bryce Warren in his 78th year. Husband of the former Elinore Moore. Father of Peggy (Kevin), Kevin and partner Robin, Peter and wife Cindy. Grandfather of Adriana Wenk, Maude, Saul, Mae and Isaac Warren. Brother-in-law of Dorine Warren of Brockville, Lionel Major, and Bob and Elaine Bell all of Maitland. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Florence Warren, by his brother Donald Warren, and by his sister Marie Major.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Members of the Brockville Lions Club will gather for a Memorial Tribute Friday at 6:45 p.m. In Celebration of Bryce’s life a ceremony will be held in the Irvine Chapel on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Cremation and interment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. In remembrance, donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Society will be gratefully acknowledged.

Long time member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Spencerville United Church and St. Paul’s United Church, Prescott, peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, Charles Street Site on Thursday, February 8, 2007, at the age of 101. Beloved wife of the late Charles Barclay. Loving mother of Betty Strong, Leona Anderson, Marie Cunning, Beverly Dukelow (Ken) and Eric. Cherished grandmother of 12, great-grandmother of 16 and great-great-grandmother of two. Predeceased by sons-in-law Everett Strong, Fred Anderson, Ralph Cunning and sisters Myrtle, Lillian and Goldie.

HALL, Mary
In Kemptville on Thursday, February 8, 2007, Mary Hall (nee Earley) of Kemptville, formerly of Mountain, age 98. Wife of the late James Hall. Loving mother of Eleanor O’Neill (John) of Oxford Mills, Rita McRae (Late Ray) of Smiths Falls, Teresa Arsenault (Emile) of Moncton N.B., Martin of Kemptville, Jack (Wilma) of Kemptville, Marion Norton (Rodney) of Spencerville and Evelyn Kilfoyle (Russ) of Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Mother-in-law of Noreen Hall of South Mountain. Daughter of the late Hugh Earley and Mary Elizabeth Swain. Survived by 28 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by brothers Bernard, James and Ernest Earley and a grandchild, Brian Hall.
Visitation will be held at Grant Brown Funeral Home Rolston Chapel, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville on Friday, February 9th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Daniel’s Church, South Mountain on Saturday, February 10 at 11 a.m. Interment Parish Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations to Bayfield Manor Auxiliary or Kemptville District Hospital Auxiliary.

HUGHES, Linden
Passed away peacefully at Sudbury Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, February 7, 2007, in his 79th year. Beloved husband of Sheila. Loving father of Greg Hughes, Pam Langen and her husband Ron. Cherished grandfather of Carly Lynn, Joel, Danielle (Baby Logan), Mackenzie, Mike, Zoé, Ryan and Ashley.
Family and friends are welcome to visit with Sheila and family at the Torrance Funeral Home, 89 Bowes Street, Parry Sound on Saturday, February 17, 2007 from 2-4 p.m. At Linden’s request there will not be a Funeral Service. Cremation has taken place. If desired, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the West Parry Sound Health Centre Foundation (Electronic Health Records) would be appreciated by the family.
