At Brockville General Hospital after a brief illness on Saturday, March 3, 2007, the former Rita R. Finley, at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Warren Loomis. Loving mother of Christopher (Valerie) of St. John’s Nfld., James (Jane) of Brockville and Ann Goody (Steve) of Bridgenorth. Fondly remembered by grandchildren Timothy, Emily, Peter, Erin, Michael, Matthew, Justin and Jessica. Also survived by her sisters Teresa and Blanche Finley, both of Kemptville, by her sister-in-law Stella Loomis of Brockville and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sisters Marie McRobie and Bernice (Bunny) Amyotte.

McCARTHY, Denis John
On March 3, 2007 Denis passed away suddenly, with family at his side, at the age of 58. Beloved husband and best friend of Susan. Loving father of Jennifer (David) and Heather. Proud grandfather of Elisabeth and Tegan. Cherished son of the late Thomas and Ellen McCarthy of Prescott. Denis will be dearly missed by his many friends, colleagues and family, including his Aunt Jo in England, his nephews Jody (Angela) and Darryl (Yesenia) and his nieces Megan and Natasha. Denis was a kind and generous person, who will be remembered for his sharp mind, his quiet strength and his unwavering sense of humour. He worked for the federal government for more than 30 years, and was a member of the executive of the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC). An
adventurous spirit, Denis often took to the open road on his motorcycle, touring as far as Newfoundland and the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Quiet times were spent reading, listening to music and relaxing with family at his lakeside cottage.

SHIPMAN, Albert
Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Saturday, March 3, 2007, Albert George Shipman at the age of 87 years. Loving father of Kevin Shipman (Michelle) of Mallorytown and Laurie Ann Amoroso (Darryl) of Lyn. Grandfather of Shanna, Gabriella and Hunter. Albert is survived by sisters Nina Blair (Don), Madeline Fourney (Earle) of Brockville, Eudora Farn of Mallorytown and a brother Charlie Shipman of Peterborough. Albert is also survived by several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Pauline Shipman.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (2503 Victoria Road) on Friday, March 9, 2007 at 2 p.m. In memoriams to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

Cherished grandmother of Vivian and Teddy Hollister, Ron Gallagher, Tim and Chris Richardson, Erin Vallentgoed (Rich), Tiffany and Matthew Eyre. Also survived by numerous great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren and by her sister-in-law Irene Conley of Gananoque. Predeceased by two brothers Roy and Floyd Andress.

Brother-in-law of Dorine Warren of Brockville, Lionel Major, and Bob and Elaine Bell all of Maitland. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Harold and Florence Warren, by his brother Donald Warren, and by his sister Marie Major.
