GONCZOWSKI, Jancie
On Sunday, September 3rd, 2006, suddenly at the Brockville General Hospital, the former Janice Marie Dawson, at the age of 63 years. Beloved wife of Roman Gonczowski Jr. Loving mother of Susan Grant (Jeff) of RR2, Spencerville and predeceased by her son Terry and one son in infancy. Fondly remembered by her granddaughter Ashley Mae and Brittney Marie Grant. Loving daughter of Violet Dawson of Brockville and the late George Dawson. Dear sister of Rebecca (Garry Ferguson) of North Augusta, Georgina (Frank Worden) or RR2, Prescott, Donna (Ralph Irish) of RR1, Brockville, Karen (Ernie Cole) of RR2, Prescott, Fred Dawson (Janette) of RR3, North Augusta, Margaret (Robert Wilson) of RR3, Brockville, Jim Dawson (Gail) of Frankville, Nancy Dawson (Larry Dixon) of Morrisburg and John Dawson (Steacy) of RR2, Prescott. Also survived by her brother-in-law George Gonczowski of Maitland and by a number of nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Roman and Mary Gonczowski.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Thursday after 10 a.m. In Celebration of Janice’s life a Ceremony will be held in the Irvine Chapel on Thursday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Christ Church Cemetery, Lord’s Mills. In remembrance, donations to the Bayshore Dialysis Clinic, or the Kingston General Hospital Renal Unit will be gratefully acknowledged.

SICARD, Lillian Irene
Entered into rest peacefully, at home on Saturday, September 2nd, 2006 at the age of 63 years. Beloved wife of Ernest Sicard of Mallorytown. Dear mother of Marie Daubney (Dave) of Brockville, David Payea of Brockville, Sherry Porteous (Bill) of Mallorytown, Norma Guild (Tim) of Mallorytown, Aline Keary (Paul) of Brockville and Kathie Serson (Dan) of Lyn. She also raised her granddaughter Candida Fodey (Leo) of Mallorytown. Also survived by several very much loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by a sister and four brothers, Joe Terriah (Carol) of Maitland, Arnold Durant (Twila) of Brockville, Kathy Lewis (predeceased by George) of Gananoque, Rob Durant (Gwen) of Brockville, Jack Durant of Brockville. Loving daughter of predeceased mother Irene (Fyckes) Durant and Nicholas Terriah.
A Celebration of Lillian’s life will be held in the Chapel of the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6th. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Family and friends are invited to a gathering in honour of Lillian at the home of daughter Kathie and husband Dan Serson, 3217 Yonge Mills Road, Lyn following the service after 4:00 p.m. In remembrance, the family requests donations in lieu of flowers to the Bayshore Home Care Services, since the family received such loving care from Diane Dewitt of Bayshore, one amazing nurse.

HAMPTON, Ethel “Pearl”
Peacefully, at the John Parrott Centre, with her family by her side, Mrs. Ethel Pearl Hampton. Beloved wife of the late Ernest Hampton. Loving mother of Robert Hampton (Sylvia Foxton), Sue Paquin (Fred Paquin Jr.). Cherished grandmother of Marie Hampton-Wood, Amanda and Virginia Hampton, Frederick Charles and Kenneth John Paquin (Nicole). Predeceased by her sisters Jean Curtis and Velma Webster. Sadly missed by her nieces Corinne McMann (Gary), Betty Anne Horsman (Ron) and nephews David (Joyce) and James (Alleen) Webster, John (Lynn) and Charles Curtis.
Friends will be received at the Central Chapel of Gordon F. Tompkins, 49 Colborne Street (at Clergy Street) on Sunday, August 27th, 2006 between the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Monday, August 28, 2006 at 10:30 a.m., reception to follow. Interment at Roselawn Cemetery, Maitland at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to the John Parrott Centre, Napanee would be greatly appreciated. Gordon F. Tompkins Funeral Home, Central Chapel 613-546-5454.

PICHÉ, Robert Victor (Bob)
Suddenly in Kemptville District Hospital on Thursday, August 24, 2006, Bob Piché of Kemptville, age 65. Beloved husband of Kathryn (nee Pelton). Loving father of Dennis (Karen) and Jeff (Trish), all of Merrickville. Cherished grandfather of Sarah, Jenna, Kristen and Kyle. Dear brother of Barbara Sayeau (Ralph). Predeceased by brothers Charles and Raymond and sisters Hilda, Marion and Eleanor.
Visitation will be held at Grant Brown Funeral Home Rolston Chapel, 805 Prescott Street, Kemptville on Tuesday, August 29th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. James’ Anglican Church, Kemptville on Wednesday at 11 a.m. Those who wish may make memorial donations to Kemptville District Hospital Foundation or a charity of choice.

STOTTS, James “Jim”
Peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, August 9, 2006, Mr. James “Jim” Stotts of Seaforth and formerly of Brockville, in his 70th year. He is survived by Velma Stotts and their children Penny Cardno of Seaforth, Bill and Judy Stotts of Brockville and Cindy and John Crites of Greenbush. Cherished grandfather of Alexander, Meagan, Ashton and Zachary. Dear brother of Cheryl Ronald-Vert and Ed Vert of Daytona Beach, Florida. Dear uncle of Tristan Ronald of Daytona Beach, Florida. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Lorraine Stotts.
At Jim’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation with interment of ashes at Brockville at a later date. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations to the Christian Children’s Fund of Canada would be greatly appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Box and Smith Funeral Chapel, Seaforth. As a tribute to the life of Jim a tree will be planted in his memory.

VAIL, Ruby
Suddenly at the Brockville General Hospital on Monday, August 21, 2006, at the age of 85. Beloved wife of Russell Vail. Cherished mother of James Vail (Mary), Carolyn Pratt (Russell), Neil Vail (Rena) and Linda Maxwell (John). Grandmother of Chris and Scott Pratt and Bradley Vail. Great-grandmother of Conner and Michelle Pratt. Survived by brother Ronald Shaw of Halifax, N.S.
Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel of the Chris Slater Funeral Home, 416 Dibble Street West, Prescott on Friday, August 25, 2006 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Lord’s Mills Cemetery. For those wishing, the family would appreciate donations to the Colitis Foundation.

BECKSTEAD, Mildred Madeline
At Brockville General Hospital on Friday, August 11, 2006 at the age of 92. Dear mother of James (Frances) Fraser, Jack Fraser and Robert (Irene) Fraser. Also surviving and fondly remembered are her grandchildren Barbara Stiff (Tim), Michael Fraser, Andrew Fraser (Lizanne), Sharon Fraser, David Fraser (Lorie), Donna (Jeff Morency) and Anita (Kirk Whittal), great-grandchildren Megan and Michael Stiff, Paige Morency and Christopher and Rebecca Fraser, her brother Ted Keck (Marlene), as well as step children and their families. She was predeceased by her first husband Gerald Fraser and by her second husband Donald Beckstead, and her brother Charles Keck.
A Private Service was held at Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel on Monday, August 14th. Interment took place at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland, Ontario. Donations to Charity of Choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.

CASSELL, Dawn
Peacefully at Brockville General Hospital on Thursday, August 10, 2006. The former Violet Dawn Nix of Brockville aged 73 years. Beloved wife of John Cassell. Dear mother of John J. Cassell and his wife Julie of Cambridge, Vicki Cassell, and Robert Cassell both of Brockville. Loving grandmother of Michael, Sean, Matthew, Allison all of Cambridge, Tyler and his mother Cindy of Massena, NY. Dawn is survived by a brother Royden Nix and his wife Jacqueline of Belleville and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may attend a Memorial Service at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 at 2 p.m. In memoriams to the Humane Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

DEVLIN, Mark
Mark is the cherished husband, best friend and soul mate of Karen Wilkinson, loved father of Joshua, step father of Madelaine and Emily, son of Pauline Devlin, brother of Laurie, Herb (Renee), Jon (Xian) and uncle of Jake. Fondly remembered by Emile and Sebastian. Predeceased by brothers Roy, Roger, and his father Wilson. Mark was born February 10, 1958, and spent his life in Smiths Falls. He attended Elgin School and S.F.D.C.I. Following school he was employed by C.P. Rail. Mark had health issues due to injury, but his faith in God gave him courage, strength, and peace to carry on his life without complaint.
Mark was an enthusiastic and passionate person. He loved hockey, and was dedicated to the “Coffee Cup League.” The bowling league was also an activity he enjoyed. Mark spent his previous 10 summers on the Big Rideau, doing what he enjoyed most, fishing and boating with his dog Kramer.
Mark’s wise counsel and friendship will be missed by his many friends. Friends may share memories of Mark at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Smiths Falls from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, August 20th and 1-3 p.m. on Monday, August 21st followed later by a Private Family Service. In remembrance, contributions to the CNIB would be appreciated by the family.

FEENSTRA, Rinke “Rick”
On Sunday, August 13, 2006, while biking to church, our Lord took to Himself, our dear husband, father and grandfather, Rick Feenstra at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Barbara (Boukje) Rienstra, married 32 years this past April, and the late Catherine (Trijntje) Mozes. Cherished father of Shirley Mulder of St. Catharines, Wilma (Jack) Hall of Kemptville, John Feenstra (Grietje) of Kingston, Larry Feenstra (Carolyn) of Osgoode, Harold Feenstra (Henny) of Kingston and Rick Feenstra of Luksville, PQ. Also survived by his step children all of the Netherlands, Etje Koper, Loeky Krul and Geke van Roon. Fondly remembered by his 21 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Anna vanderZee, Willemke Feenstra, Wietske Feenstra all of the Netherlands. Predeceased by sisters Froukje and Lolkje and by brothers John, Sjouke, Fred and Hans.
A Service in Celebration of Rick’s life will be held at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church (117 Windsor Drive, Brockville) on Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by interment at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Maitland. In remembrance, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be gratefully acknowledged. Arrangements entrusted to the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville.
