Passed away peacefully at the Smiths Falls District Hospital on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, Rhea Landry, age 91 years. Loving wife of the late John L. McKay. Beloved mother of the late Robert McKay. Cherished grandmother of Ian McKay (Ami) and Shannon Frias (Manny) and great-grandmother of Ian, Jonah, Ashleigh and Andrew. Dear sister of Norma, Donna, Beatrice, Roger and Beverly and predeceased by her sisters Rita, Flora and Betty. Also sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Cherished grandfather of Skyler, Dylan, Nicole, Lyndsay, Kylie, Kasey and Sierra. Dear brother of Gail Eggett of Ottawa. Also survived by his first wife Pearl Evoy. Predeceased by his parents Walter Evoy and Mary Hogan and by brothers Glen and Carl Evoy.

At the Ottawa Hospital, Civic Campus on Saturday, April 8th, George Hunter, age 74 years. Beloved husband of Betty of Brockville and loving father of David Hunter (Maureen) of Baltimore, Maryland, Alison Wesley-James (Charles) of Ottawa and Neil Hunter of Oakville. Proud grandpa of Laura and Natasha Hunter and Matthew and Mackenzie Wesley-James. Also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Bob Crooks. Predeceased by family members in Scotland, England, South Africa, Holland and United States.

JOHNSTON, Agnes Nora
(nee Snyder) 1911-2006
Nora died peacefully at Providence Healthcare in Toronto on Friday, April 7, 2006, in her 96th year. Born January 23, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Agnes Cleo Halladay and Wesley Martin Snyder of Spencerville and wife of the late Ernest Meredith Johnston of Brockville. She is survived by children Linda (Herman Engel), Michael (Cheryl), David (Kim McKenna) and Patricia (Dan Markovich) and grandchildren Marijke, Marten, Kristiaan, Kieran, Andrew, Robin, Christopher, Craig, Adria, Alex and Peter. Also survived by a daughter-in-law Cheryl A. Johnston as well as her brother Gerald M. Snyder (Lois) and nephews and niece, William, Kathleen and David. Nora devoted her life to a ministry of music, serving over 69 years as teacher, church organist and music director. She retired from St. John’s United Church in Brockville after 40 years of service.
A private family funeral and burial will take place in Brockville. The family will receive friends at a Reception and Musical Tribute honouring Nora on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 2 p.m. at St. John’s United Church, Brockville. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Providence Healthcare Alzheimer Day Program, 3274 St. Clair Avenue East, Toronto, Ontario M1L 1W1 or St. John’s United Church Restoration Fund. Her family expresses it’s heartfelt thanks to the staff, volunteers and families at Providence Healthcare and its’ Alzheimer Day Program (and to special friend Margaret Polyak) for all their loving care and concern during Nora’s illness. Dear father of Lawrence Mallory (Doris), Dale Mallory (Maureen), Terry Mallory, all of Brockville, Jeff Mallory (Nancy) of Mallorytown, Carolyn Louch (Orren) of Brockville and Gloria Mallory (Lorne) of Oshawa. Grandfather of Laura, David and Andrew. Brother of Bob Mallory (Bev) of RR2, Brockville, Lionel Mallory (Hazel) of Mallorytown, Dan Mallory (Lyla) of Brockville and Steve Mallory of Oxford Station. Also survived by a sister-in-law Lillian Mallory and a brother-in-law Albert Shipman, both of Brockville, several nieces and nephews and a Goddaughter Candy Pilatzke (Boyd) of Athens. Predeceased by his parents Corvin Mallory and his wife Flora Hodge Mallory, a brother Gerald Mallory and three sisters Corva Anderson, Pauline Shipman and Sharon Saunders.
