LEITASS, Austra
Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on February 23rd, 2005 in her 99th year. Beloved wife of the late Erik Leitass. Dear sister of Lucija Berzins of Bateau Bay, New South Wales, Australia. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by her close friends Daphne and Burton Haystead of Prescott.
A celebration of Austra’s life will be held in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Friday at 10 a.m. Cremation will follow at Roselawn Crematorium, Maitland. Arrangements are entrusted with the Irvine Funeral Home and Chapel, 4 James Street East, Brockville.

McDONALD, Gladys Marguerite
(nee Coffey)
Entered into rest at the Brockville General Hospital on Wednesday, February 22, 2005 in her 85th year. Daughter of the late Robert Coffey and Mildred Crowder. Wife of the late S. John McDonald. Survived by daughters Frances MacKay of Prescott and Darlene Boychuk of Hamilton and Edward (Jayne) of Hamilton. Survived by grandchildren Rick Wyatt, Terry (Kelly) Wyatt, Kelly Tobin, Kevin (Paula) MacDonald, Brian (Sheila) MacDonald, Rebecca Boychuk, Paul Boychuk and great-grandchildren Kyle, Kendra and Mason Wyatt and Kelsey Tobin. Also survived by sisters Eunice Simpson of Toronto and Naomi Seeley of Cardinal.
At the request of the family a Private Service will be held at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home, Cardinal. Donations to the charity of choice would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Spring interment at St. John’s Cemetery, Cardinal.

McQUE, John Philip
Passed away peacefully, with his daughter by his side at the age of 79, at his residence at St. Joseph's Hospital Long Term Care, Estevan Saskatchewan on Saturday, February 19th, 2005. John is survived by: his wife Bridget (Jetty), Rose Bridge Manor, Jasper, Ontario; one daughter Diane (Clem) Wenham, Estevan Saskatchewan; two grandsons Perry Wenham of Edmonton, Alberta and Daniel Wenham of Estevan, Saskatchewan; three brothers Tom (Rosina), Bill (Margaret) and Philip, all of Breat, Britain; many nieces and nephews, all of Great Britain; special niece, by marriage, Maureen (Phil) Ganci of Kitchener, Ontario. Predeceased by: his parents John and Mary McQue; son David; brother Peter and sisters Mamie and Joyce and extended family friend Gordon Bamber.
A Memorial Service was held Tuesday February 22, 2005 at Estevan Alliance Church. Interment at St. Mark's Cemetery, Prescott Ontario at a later date. If friends so desire, donations may be given to St. Joseph's Hospital Long Term Care, Estevan Saskatchewan.

RAMSAY, Lawrence Robert
Formerly of Athens and Gananoque passed away suddenly in Gopie Trace, Trinidad on February 22, 2005, age 66. Devoted husband to the late Dorothy Ramsay (nee Nicholson), who passed away in October 2003. Predeceased by his parents Gladys and John Ramsay and brothers David and Gordon. He will be remembered fondly by children Colin of North Bay, Larry and Pamela of Gopie Trace, Trinidad and Debbie and Michael of Montreal, and his grandchildren Jessica and Sara of North Bay, and Joshua, Britney, Philip and Davidson of Gopie Trace, Trinidad. Lovingly remembered by brother Donald, brothers-in-law Harry, Gary, John, and Greg, sisters-in-law Margaret, Rosemary, Kathy, Joyce, Joan and Nancy, and his mother-in-law Mary. Lawrence will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services and cremation are to be held in Gopie Trace on Thursday, February 24th, with a Memorial Service to follow at a later date in the Preston Cambridge area. Ashes will be interred with his wife Dorothy's, at the Torreholme Crematorium near Morcambe England.

WANLESS, Margaret
(nee Hendrick)
Peacefully at St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital, Kingston on Tuesday, February 22, 2005, Margaret Wanless of Kingston (formerly of Elgin and Montreal). Beloved wife of Bob Wanless and the late Tim Hendrick. Dear mother of Janis Hendrick of Montreal, Linda Hendrick of Montreal, Gary and his wife Gaylene of Calgary, Karen and her husband Derek Anderson of Lindsay. Dear stepmother of Rob Wanless and his wife Helen of Etobicoke, Pat and her husband Ken Watson of RR3, Elgin. Dear sister of Rilma Duval, Clare, Delmer and Sumner Peterkin. Loved by grandchildren Michael, Alison and Ian Hendrick, Andrew, Bizz, Peter, Graham and Gina Anderson as well as step-grandchildren J. and Chris Wanless. Predeceased by grandson Douglas Anderson.
A Memorial Service will be held in Elgin United Church on Saturday afternoon March 5, 2005 at 2 o’clock. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, The Parkinson’s Society, The Heart & Stroke Foundation or to St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital, Kingston (Palliative Care) would be appreciated by the family. (Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Scotland Funeral Home, 27 Main Street, Elgin (613-359-5555).

BERNARD, Ronald
At home on Thursday, February 17, 2005, Ronald Ormonde Bernard of Spencerville, age 77 years. Beloved husband of Isabel Bernard (nee Broniszeski). Loving father of Tim (Diane), Philip (Karen), Stanley (Angie) all of Spencerville. Wayne (Gail) of Prescott and Linda Smith (Kenneth) of Cardinal. Cherished grandfather of Braden, Krista, Jessica, Trevor (Amy), Jaime, Angela, Cory, Amanda, Charlene and Michael. Great-grandfather of Garrett, Quintin and Dillon. Dear brother of Orville (Reta) of Brockville, Ralph (Rene) of Renfrew, Viola Perrin (John) of Prescott, Delta Grant of Brockville and Bernice MacDonald of Prescott.
Funeral Service will be held at Grant Brown Funeral Home Purcell Chapel, Spencerville on Monday, February 21st at 11 a.m. Interment Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may make memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society.

HARRISON, Winifred
Entered into rest peacefully with her family by her side at the Brockville General Hospital, on Thursday, February 17, 2005, Winifred Harrison of RR2 Lansdowne, age 88 years. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Harrison. Dear mother of Burke (Terry) of California, Susan Howard (Harold) of Milton, and Beth Harrison of Lansdowne. Grandmother of five and great-grandmother of one. Also survived by a brother Gordon Porter (Doris) of Bolton and a sister Fran Hall of Prescott as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
At Mrs. Harrison’s request, cremation will take place with a Private Service to be held at a later date. Barclay Funeral Home, Lansdowne entrusted with the arrangements. In memoriams to the Leeds and Grenville Humane Society would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.

WILSON, Lawrence Ronald (Larry)
At the Brockville General Hospital on Saturday, February 12, 2005 Lawrence Ronald (Larry) Wilson. Beloved husband of Rhoda Wilson of Prescott. Father of Val Darling of Brockville and Ron Wilson of Prescott. Grandfather of Mark, Scott (Barbara), Keith (Angie) and Chad. Great-grandfather of Devin and Haley. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Almina Wilson and infant twin brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Chris Slater Funeral Home, 416 Dibble Street West, Prescott, on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at 2 p.m. Interment in the Spring. For those wishing the family would appreciate donations to a Charity of your choice.

HAMILTON, Robert Gordon
1941-2005
Suddenly at the Kingston General Hospital on February 9th, 2005 in his 64th year. Beloved father of Maureen Jeanette Blacklock of Kingston and Kenneth Gordon Hamilton (Marianne) of Oshawa. Dear grampy to Justin Patrick Blacklock, Nicole Helena Grace Blacklock and Matthew Alexander Hamilton. He will be sadly missed by his dear friend and loving companion Nancy Smith of Smiths Falls. Brother of Margaret Grace Decko of Kingston and predeceased by his parents Mary-Louise Hamilton (Clark) and Douglas William Hamilton and his two brothers John and Frank.
Friends may call at Lannin Funeral Home, Smiths Falls from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday and from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at 2 p.m. Interment Maple Vale Cemetery. In memory of Robert, donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. A loving father and grandfather, we love you and miss you. May you rest in peace. A Legion Service will be held on Friday evening at 7 p.m.

MASSEY, John
Entered into rest peacefully at home with his family by his side on Wednesday, February 9, 2005, John Joseph Massey of Lyn, age 64 years. Beloved husband of the former Bonnie Edwards. Dear father of Debbie Spencer (Robert), Stephen Massey (Angela) all of Ottawa and Sandra Hoare of Brockville. Loving grandfather of Joey Spencer, Haley and Ethan Hoare and Julia and Catherine Massey. Brother of Mary Lozo (Doug) of Lyn and Deloris Maly (John) of Havelock. Brother-in-law of Velma Massey of Mallorytown. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Oliver and Beatrice (McDonald) Massey, and brothers Carmen and Winfred Massey.
Friends may call at the Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville on Friday, February 11, 2005 from 12-2 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. In memoriams to the Canadian Cancer Society or the March of Dimes would be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
