Suddenly, on Saturday, February 27th, 2010 at, St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, at age 54, Bonnie (nee Foster), beloved wife of Ken Hunter of Kirkland Lake.

Loving mother of Robert Ratz and his wife Jennifier of Nairn Center, Ontario, and Chrystal Ratz of Port Perry. Loved grandmother of Emma May Todd. Dear daughter of Blanche Foster of St. Thomas, Ontario and the late Harold. Sister of Stan Foster, Joan Reaume, Jean Wilson (deceased), Ed Foster, Marjorie Foster, Carol Van Mil, and Mary McCully all of the London Area.

Private arrangements entrusted to the WAGG FUNERAL HOME, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry (905-985-2171).

If desired, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario.

PIGEAU, Edward Joseph
(General Motors of Canada retiree)

Peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends on Saturday February 27, 2010, in his 73rd year.

Beloved son of the late Orville and Ellen Pigeau. Husband of Jacqueline. Dear father of Pam Treen (Norm), Richard Pigeau (Elaine), Jeff Pigeau (Lori) and Nicole Careford. Sadly missed by brothers and sisters Glenda, Helen, Billy, Peter, Paul, Bobby, Reggie and Jacqueline. Pre-deceased by his brother Gary and sister Betty-Ann. Proud poppa of 12 grandchildren and great grand poppa of 1. Ed will also be sadly missed and always remembered by many dear friends and close neighbours.

Friends may call at W.C. TOWN FUNERAL CHAPEL, 110 Dundas St E Whitby, on Thursday March 4, 2010 at 12 pm. A funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 1 pm.

At the Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Saturday, February 27th, 2010 in her 69th year.

Survived by her husband Paul. Loving mother of Lorraine Wilton (Brian), Linda McCready (Derek), Lawrence (Cindy), and Richard. Dear grandmother of Brianne, Trisha, Devin, Kyle, Kara, Corrie and Jack. Sadly missed by brother Lawrence Hammond and predeceased by David Hammond. Daughter of the late Ernest and Dorothy Hammond.

Beloved daughter of the late Frank and Hepzibah Williams. Dear sister of Irene and her husband Ivan Locke of Oshawa. Loving aunt of Richard and Louise Locke of Scarborough. Predeceased by 2 brothers, Clive and Grenville and 2 sisters, Anne and Verna. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and friends. Dorothy was retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. She was a former resident of Faith Place and Sunnycrest Long Term Care, and a member of Christ Memorial Anglican Church.

Passed away after a long and courageous battle with leukemia, on Friday, February 26, 2010 at Lakeridge Health Oshawa at the age of 67 years.

Beloved son of Dolly Johnston (nee Scheels) and the late Lloyd Francis Johnston. Cherished Companion of Dorothy May Wessbecher. Loving father of Billie-Jean Welsh (Daryl) of Calgary, Alberta and the late Bobbi-Jean Johnston. Survived by brothers Glenn Johnston (Sharon) of Oshawa, William Johnston (Betty) of Kitchener, Gerald Johnston (Connie) of Russell and sisters Barbara Michaud (Gerald) of Arnprior, Sandra Johnston of Arnprior. Linda Johnston (Bob Diotte) of Arnprior and the late Judith Johnston of Castleford. Proud poppa of grandchildren Shea and Seth of Oshawa and Micaela, Brody and Matthew of Calgary. Bob is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, colleagues and acquaintances.

Most recently Bob was an NSO at Darlington Nuclear Station, Bowmanville, Ontario and President of the UPGWA and the SPFPC Union.

A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 373 Simcoe St. S., Oshawa, Ontario on Saturday March 6th at 9:30 a.m. A reception will follow at the Armouries-Officers Mess, 53 Simcoe St. N., Oshawa, Ontario.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the leukemia Research Foundation would be appreciated.

COURTICE FUNERAL CHAPEL

KROCHMAL, Katharina (nee Malanchyn)
1921-2010

Serene and peaceful! Katharina left us on Friday, February 26th, following a brief illness.

Her journey continues, her legacy remains. A young Katharina left Horodnytchia, Ukraine arriving to Canada via Germany, in 1948, with her husband Stefan Senyk (deceased). Mike Dutczak and Jakiem Krochmal, husbands, also predeceased Katharina. She leaves behind a loving and devoted family: Walter Senyk (Laurie), Olga Senyk, Natalie Howe (Doug) and Sylvia Weeks (Doug). Baba’s grandchildren lived, learned, loved and shared her life: Katrina, Janna, Stefan, Amy, Timothy and Matthew.

Katharina enjoyed a full and active life in Oshawa. She was a member of St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church and the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League. Katharina lovingly catered so many weddings and for Oshawa’s Fiesta Week. She also operated the popular Ukrainian Cuisine business on Bloor Street East, Oshawa

Friends and family may visit ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 124 King Street East, Oshawa on Monday March 1st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Panachyda will be held at 7:30 p.m. Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. George the Great Martyr Ukrainian Catholic Church, (42 Lviv Blvd, Oshawa) on Tuesday March 2nd at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Wolodymyr and St. Olha Ukrainian Cemetery, Courtice.

Remembrance donations may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Charity of your choice, with our appreciation.

MacMASTER, Kathleen (nee Corris)
(Retired Registered Nurse at Oshawa General Hospital.)

Peacefully, at Taunton Mills, Whitby, on Friday, February 26, 2010. Kathleen, in her 83rd year. Dearly beloved wife of the late Angus MacMaster. Loving mother of Beverley MacMaster and Gregg MacMaster. Sister to the late Arthur Corris, George Corris and Frank Corris.

Relatives and friends will be received at the McINTOSH-ANDERSON FUNERAL HOME LTD., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. Cremation and interment at Thornton Cemetery.
